Great race! I switched over to iRacing about 3 months ago because it was too hard to get a decent clean race in Forza. One tip I would give you is that I normally run the black box on Relative instead of the lap timer, because it is constantly updating the relative time between you and the cars around you. The rear View Mirror makes the cars look further away than what they actually are. but when they get close to you it looks like they are about to dive bomb you in the mirror so thats why i use the relative time as a gauge of distance rather than the mirror. Also, I usually set a timer on my phone or apple watch for 23 minutes in a 25 minute race so I get a two minute warning for the end of the race. Please keep uploading iRacing videos! it's good to watch and learn from guys like you that have some skill.

Depends on how clean you are. I am not great but practiced all week and raced my races on sunday or monday and got my A class license in just 32 races. It doesn't matter if you win. In license class progression the only thing that matters is how clean you drive.
you should lift the gas when you shift up if you do that while turning the car is gonna put the rear in a little slide that a really big mistake you make. but the rest is a good driving

+Super GT yeah I got it on release day as well was quite disappointed with it as was so hyped, I have played a few races since and has been improved massive, but ain't spent like a day playing due to games like Forza and dirt rally and soon Asetto Corsa,
You can clean the windscreen in a pit stop if you want, it makes the stop a bit slower if you're not adding much fuel. If a car in front has an engine failure, your windscreen can be covered in oil in seconds.
best lap was actually from the dude down in like 15th place haha. somebody must've wrecked him. how do you communicate while driving? i imagine typing at 150mph isn't the best idea.
Great driving, the official blue flag rule is sadly just informational that there is a guy behind him, it doesn't say that he has to make room etc.. So overtaking backmarkers is always a dangerous situation. :)
+Lorien311 Yeah, I wasn't totally aware of the rules surrounding the blue flags so I kinda assumed it was how it was in most motorsports. My point kinda still stands though, that they should ideally make it easy and do it in the right places to minimise risk.
+Super GT Indeed, but some even try to fight with you, even if they are 5 Laps down. :) But it gets a lot better with higher Irating, although that also means the competition gets quite harder :)
When you get in higher classes and race with people who who have learned the ropes so to speak, most lapped traffic will get out of your way. A lot will even let you by if they are actually a higher position than you, but see you are significantly faster than them. You will still always find that one guy who's 3 laps down yet still thinks he's racing for the lead. Pressure those guys and they will usually made a significant mistake and you can get by lol. They are usually being lapped for a reason......

I love IRacing. It is much better than Forza. Forza says it is a racing sim but this is really a racing sim!

Exactly. Last night I had a race where I was so slow but had a good fight for 13th. Still enjoyable even being so far off the leader.

Can you do a race on mosport its my favorite track i go there every year to watch GTLM. as far as i know i racing is the only game with it.
