Well, I just found out I did most of the requirements for the true ending without knowing how. I just got every single conch today in fact. All that’s left is the fallen dweller colosseum, and beating the game normally.
I DID IT, GARL IS BACK BABY!
Garl has always been my favorite character, followed by our good old (that’s an understatement) immortal alchemist.

Can't wait to get him back myself. Love that guy he's the best! I had tears running down my face for hours when we lost him it was the saddest story telling I've ever seen!
The map screen you can unlock the parrot. I forgot how. But by highlighting areas on the map and talking to the parrot several times it will tell you what items are yet to be found. Like shells, chests.
Yep, but I still gave up on conches. You have the location, but it's too boring to search carefully the full area again.
You get the parrot once you turn in 30 conches

I might to play the 2nd playthrou and get the rainbow conches. Theirs so many I couldn’t get to because I didn’t have the upgrades yet that I can’t keep track of em all
Yeah I was gonna do this but I don't have the patience for it.
I'm confused, so after I make a new save after beating the game, do I load the save with a star on it, do new gane plus? What do indo after the save an what save do I load

I am stuck at the last conch.
It said it brisk port town.
I see many guide. I have all conch from that town. But the bird still say that one.
I even try the 5x 10gold chest. Twice with the "save/load" when failed.
I don't understand which one is missing or what the chest dude doesn't give it to me( but I believe he already gave it to me long time ago.
there are 2 that you can get in brisk that are sneaky, first one is giving 40 fish to a kid on a boat, second one is underneath the dock at the bottom of the map
And a another one too it is near a man that has a green hat and a red pants and hidden under the coloseum. It did take me some time too find that, and I did go on youtube for watching a walkthrough for that littel ting.
Could be the painter. That was a pain in the arse to figure out. The one who wants their portrait done in brisk is the key, then go to the mole painter, and back to Brisk.
There's a guy in a room to the right of the fountain in Brisk. He has a spinning wheel and he'll ask you to guess a number. There's also a person just outside and to the right of the door that will give you the answer if you pay them $90. I know the number if you all don't mind a spoiler 🤔 It'll cost you $90 though 😂🤣💦JK
I just think the Parrot is broken, I have 57 RC turned in, but flying to different islands and areas shows that I have 5 areas with RC's left to find. Which doesn't make sense.
Id say this is an adventure game with rpg elements.
My dumbass accidentally created the new save on top of my original save file and now I gotta do the whole boss fight all over again so I can get the second ending💀😭😭😭 once I realized my mistake, I just quit and went on TH-cam lmao.
Thank you for the tips on opening up the true ending. When you get at least 26 Rainbow Conches you can turn them in then to get your parrot to use as a guide on which areas you still have treasures to collect. Once you have the parrot, go to the map and search each area and the parrot will let you know if you've cleared that area or not. It reallly is helpful. I wish I would've know this earlier in the game, because I had half of them to find 🥺 I was trying to collect all 60 before handing them in, but you actually get lots of things to help you complete your journey when you hand them in early. I was watching videos trying to find all of them and learned this tip. Also the spa is very important. It may be expensive, but it's worth the $$ 😉 My 1st tip when starting this game, make sure you collect all the Rainbow Conches in each area and get your parrot 🦜 as soon as you have 26 RC. My 2nd tip, turn in more RC to build your spa and have each character enjoy the spa. You'll be glad you did 😉
Sometimes I wonder how da heck did they make Chrono Trigger with limited spacE!!!
Well, Chrono Trigger is not that big of a game if you think about it, and even if it could constitute as a big game for it's time, Super Nintendo cartridges had a LOT of memory compared to the Nintendo cartridges - about 10 times the size. In perspective, the first Final Fantasy was 144KB big, while Chrono Trigger landed on around 4MB in size.
Furthermore, Chrono Trigger, as a lot of the early RPGs, reused textures and packages in order to save space, development time and, in some cases, loading times. They also used MIDI-files for music, which is not more than 8-20KB big, which saves a lot of memory.
It wasn't difficult, we're just spoiled with our HDD-capacities in the modern era and don't have to worry about optimization. That is also why a pixel-based game shorter and inferior to Chrono Trigger can be 1-2GB big. :D

Playing on PC with mods. Yeah yeah I know I'm a dirty cheater blah blah blah...
Anyways lol. I can confirm that we mod grants you max items and it totally works and the lil guy congratulated me on having 777 conches and gave me allll the awards str8 up.
Most annoying quest in the game? Meh lol.
