    This method looks better than using air alone. Thanks for posting it.
    Great delivery too, you're a fine teacher.

    I bought some used irons and needed to remove one inch off the shaft to fit my swing. , The grips were very good and I wanted to save them. I found your video about how to save grips. Thanks for the instruction.

    I got my grip removal tool today and was able to removed the grip with no problem. But I reused the grip on another club (using new tape) but the solvent doesn't seem to be drying inside the grip quickly. Still slipping a little bit. Bummer. Will I need to let it dr over night?

    Shouldn't the tool offset be facing away from the shaft to keep from stretching the grip?

    Do you stick it in the butt shaft tube and the back pressure helps pulling it out ?

    Can you take a grip off a graphite shaft without scratching the shaft?

    • @ryanu3708
      @ryanu3708 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep. I have a small pair of very sharp scissors. I use those instead of a utility knife for my grip removals. They're the kind used for mustache and beard trimming. Thin blades slip under the grip and snip away without scratching shafts.

    • @BuiltByBMason
      @BuiltByBMason  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      you can use a hook blade slow and steady

    What vice and tape dispenser do you use ?

    • @BuiltByBMason
      @BuiltByBMason  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My vice is a cheap one from Harbor Freight, here is where I got my grip station. I just took off the stuff I didn't want or need. www.golfworks.com/the-golfworks-gripping-station/p/ggs/

    Can you reuse the grip tape?

    • @sloppytypist
      @sloppytypist 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, I have, if it is undamaged, rewet with solvent

    • @BuiltByBMason
      @BuiltByBMason  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The answer to your question is yes but personally I away use new tape because I am reusing a grip and I want something to be new. It's probably a personal thing. lol

    • @sloppytypist
      @sloppytypist 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I should mention that I don't use tape You will need an air compressor like B's set up. I am avoiding solvents as much as possible.
