9:42 Totally relate to your issue with all the drawing and shuffling. But the one thing I disagree with is about items being skippable because they only add attribute bonuses. Many of the items have special abilities that add flavor and challenge to the enemies that make them more interesting in a fight. But i only draw these when i actually encounter the character.
I play solo alot too, Ryker! It's actually mostly learning games, so I'm ready when I have a chance to play with family or friends! Learning Stone Age right now. Just learned Tapestry! I've been researching Solo TTRPGs for a long time too, but it feels like there's lots of crossover there between TTRPG and world-building and crafting narrative strands for my novel.
Cool! I've dipped my toe into the world of solo rpg, but I've been drawn in recently and am going to start making some videos. I'll be using Adventure Crafter (along with mythic gme), which is fantastic for generating narratives for stories as well as games
Have you tried the companion app with the game? I believe that would entirely help with your reshuffling issue. Waiting for my copy, also a big BOTA fan that's just backed the 2nd Ed original game. Very excited to get it.

Yeah, they do add special abilities, that's true. I could see that being a compelling reason
