We’ve come a long way from the days of Don Quixote. Armor is lighter, more malleable, and quite a bit more comfortable. The Alpinestars Nucleon KR-3 Armor is a prime example of this. With 3 waist-to-shoulder dimensions, the Nucleon KR-3 has been designed to cover a wide-variety of body types without interfering with performance in the saddle. Additional comfort features include soft viscoelastic PU foam that backs the Convex hard outer shell, shoulder blade protective padding, and a slim vented kidney belt that allows for both secure fit and added stability. The Astars Nucleon KR-3 is CE certified Level 2.

Hi :) i am searching for a back protector for street riding :) but i am not sure between the kr1 and the kr3, whats the better choice?
The KR-3 provides a bit more protection with its added rib protection, but it's also a bit heavier and bulkier than the KR-1. Both provide plenty of protection for street riding, so you just have to decide whether you want the extra protection at the expense of added bulk. -DrewZilla

No, it does not have the snaps to connect with a jacket. That is why the shoulder straps are included to help hold it in place. However, there are a few other options in Astars' line with the snaps. Hope that helps. - Pat

Can the Alpinestars Nucleon KR-C Chest Protector Harness be attached to this back protector? If you can attach it, does the chest protector interfere with the rib protector components?

I'd recommend size medium (M), though if you have a shorter than average torso for your height, you might need small. -DrewZilla
