Why are there so many people in the video who aren't playing a guitar, bass, or drums? Honestly, they are just getting in the way of watching the amazing instrumentalism.
I've been wondering, my whole life, what it would sound like, if a bunch of metalheads just took their insanely fast and just plain insane skills and made fucking melodic songs that combine a whole bunch of shit, jazz, dubstep, drum n bass and who knows what other shit, that it would just become "mainstream", while maintaining that insane undeniable power that metal music always had, at least in my mind! So happy I discovered this band!
Brandon Gordon Yeah, I've seen it...and yes they stepped up the drums & bass a bit. Look, my problem with Polyphia doesn't lie with their talents. There's no doubt that they have mastered their instruments. The problem is the songwriting. They use similar patterns in pretty much all of their songs. When I hear their music it just sounds like one guitar solo after the next for like 4 minutes. Their music sort of lacks substance, its pretty much just flashy melodies and streamlined production so it gets boring pretty quickly. Instead of being a dick about it, you could just disregard my opinion, just like I will with yours.
Most people like repetitive music, so they have a bigger public to market to. I agree with you, tho. I tend to like jazz and such more than this kind of music, but when I listen to this, I can't deny how easy it is for me to enjoy it.
love this viddeo, love the fact that while being surrounded by hot girls, you got two bros scott and tim just jammin out and knowing how good their jammin is
As a long time lover of virtuosic guitar solos and nerdy music, the music _video_ for this song single-handedly put me off Polyphia for at least 5 years. Show me you’re a 15 year old guitarist without actually showing me: “Hey can we can get some booth babes up in here to look kinda bored while pretending to be our side pieces and give us scalp massages while we play video game music?” Now that they seem to have figured out who they are (both Scotty and Tim lookin a lot more natural and less cringey with their 2024 hair and without showboating while some people just try to have a damn conversation in the background 😅), I’ve found myself much more impressed with how they’ve blended such disparate styles as metal, electronic, and hip hop into something new and unique.
Pretty sure it's suppose to be an artistically motivated point of view. I Could be 10000% Completely wrong but from what I got from it is that during a party surrounded by beautiful women these men are quiet not saying anything, but really beautiful thoughts and emotions are running rampantly around their heads. Which could go for all shy/quiet people.
Nick Johnston’s tone reminds me of Bucketheads in Soothsayer minus the distortion portions! Probably in the same key is why-some of those bends sound identical!
Can't see why everyone's so stressed about their tone or that it's 4-4 or whatever... it's just a fun, straight-ahead rock song, no? Vinnie Moore and Satch would be proud ;-)

This is by far the best song you guys have wrote!
The video was kinda lame though, I mean.... no drums.... like, cmon man..
Christian Longoria You sound dumb as fuck. go watch the james franco play through
Brandon Gordon Yeah, I've seen it...and yes they stepped up the drums & bass a bit.
I tend to like jazz and such more than this kind of music, but when I listen to this, I can't deny how easy it is for me to enjoy it.
love this viddeo, love the fact that while being surrounded by hot girls, you got two bros scott and tim just jammin out and knowing how good their jammin is
theres nothing quite like the single coil sound of a stock fender strat.
It does sound incredible :D
is Polyphia still a band or is it just Phineas and Ferb on their own now?
holy shit lmfao
LOL
lol lol lol lol
Seiizures *Facepalms*
Seiizures Candace comes in at the end.. you must have missed her...
Seeing this live is still one of the coolest experiences
Scott playing with his arm around that chick is the most boss pimp shit ever.
Everything about this song is flawless. I miss old Polyphia so much.
same
As a long time lover of virtuosic guitar solos and nerdy music, the music _video_ for this song single-handedly put me off Polyphia for at least 5 years.
Show me you’re a 15 year old guitarist without actually showing me: “Hey can we can get some booth babes up in here to look kinda bored while pretending to be our side pieces and give us scalp massages while we play video game music?”
Now that they seem to have figured out who they are (both Scotty and Tim lookin a lot more natural and less cringey with their 2024 hair and without showboating while some people just try to have a damn conversation in the background 😅), I’ve found myself much more impressed with how they’ve blended such disparate styles as metal, electronic, and hip hop into something new and unique.
This filming situation must've been so awkward.
i knew i wasn't the only one who thought this lmao
I bet everyone there was holding their laugh
its akward to watch also my man. really weird
unbelievably so. (I was the lamp)
if there were pretty girls at least...
You know that the riff is hard when the veins on your picking hand pop up.
Nu ai cum sa refuzi plăcerii asa ceva !
Respect ,guys ! Playing God , is for real !
that solo scottie did.
good for scottie
:P
Nick Johnston wow this is real
what is the name of the original song from nick i cant find it?!
Nick Johnston you look a lot like Samus Paulicelli
Nick Johnston Nick, you are a fucking God.
Nick Johnston always on point.
やっぱこの曲が一番好きなんだよな
old Polyphia, baby Tim 💓
Best part of the video is 30 seconds in when they look at each other like "yea, we're badass!"
I absolutely love this song. It has such a heartfelt meaning. You guys have no idea how important this song is to me. Thank you for it.
The video is every boy's dream of being a master shredder and getting woman because you play guitar really well... too bad it's a fantasy.
+Noah Harned exactly....*sigh.*
It is not!!!!
Gianna P.T.O It totally is. Being good at guitar alone is not enough get you laid.
+Noah Harned I don't think so. I think a lot of woman get enchanted with a good musician.
Gianna P.T.O Tell me when you find them because they are hiding.
0:43 Girl on right "Yeah shes poopin"
Johnston's solo is out of this world.
Song should be call Apple Juice. I mean look at those glasses.
Hyped to see Polyphia play with CHON and Strawberry Girls in Philly!!
Why are these girls chatting while this masterpiece is being performed right in front of them holy guacamole :o
They cannot hear it.
they probably listen to techno usually, so they wouldn't understand what's happening anyway! :D
No they probably don't listen to techno, probably something more like Taylor Swift. lol
Dalton Sullivan hard to tell if that was sarcastic or not, either way god bless brother!
3:16 is my favorite part, very geniuuss!!!
I'm sure I listen to this 20 times per day. I can do every thing better with this jam!
Nick Johnston is such a badass he can do whammy bar tricks without a wahammy bar
Nick Johnston is THE badass
This guys is freaking amazing! One of my favorite guitarists
my best favorite song of Polyphia. i am always charged very so much energy, when i am listening this song.
3:30
Don't mind me, just making a replay button for the Nick Johnston part.
You mean the worst part?
@@CLB_JJ bruh
Accurate representation of being a guitarist today. The girls are basically ignoring them lol
Hell yea brother.. Miss my younger days
LOL
They won't ignore you if you're rich
LMAO
Listening to the newest Migos, wishing they were anywhere but there.
MFGuitarStuff I don't understand all the hate either. Progressive fans are now reminding me of the "It's not metal enough" people
How is this almost 9mil views and still yet underrated
Absolutely mannn, keep revisiting this masterpiece. 👊
This whole album underrated but one of my favorites
underrated? fame or money?
@@許叔華 shut up
I am always listenoing to polyphia but when I look up Champagne in the search bar it doesnt even pull this up as a suggestion. is bull
her stroking his shoulder 🤣
this video is the vivid representation of every guitarist when they find a guitar at a party
