Guitarists like batio and malmsteen inspired an entire generation of shredders,so show some fucking respect.
Batio is fast and so on, but Jason has balls in his playing, he hits strings really hard.
Enrique Godinez no he’s not,all he does is shred and he’s basically the fastest fucking shredder on the planet
That first solo is amazing! It hits the right spots
Just discovered this band watching Shred Colab IV and hearing Scotti's part.....this is my first favorite song from Polyphia
Txs I did hear all songs, and this one is still my fav.
Cheers!
Pretty much every note in this song is perfect. That ending solo is perhaps the best I've ever heard. Every note has purpose and are right where they need to be. It's perfect. I'm not a big guitar solo guy but this is fucking unreal
3:02 is a phenomenal moment for music as a whole.
I never thought music could just be objectively fanstastic, beautfiul, incomparable, feeling emitting, etc. Enter everything Polyphia has ever done.
Jason needs his own signature guitar!
I think he's happy enough with those JP and Majesty
Joshua Frederick He'd be happier with a guitar specifically built for him like anyone would be haha
Joshua Frederick If you're a guitarist and you don't want a signature guitar designed to every spec that suits you perfectly, then are you really a guitarist?
Agustin Torres A good guitarist doesn't need a guitar that "suits you perfectly". A good guitarist adapts, nigga.
JacobKilledBatman Where in my terminology did i use the word "need?" It's good to be able to adapt, but why adapt when you could have a guitar built from scratch exactly to your desires?
Just a phenomenal song. But for some reason there’s a single note that absolutely makes the song for me. I know he plays hundreds of notes but at 3:26 there’s one note that’s absolutely perfect! Not sure why it caught me so much!!!
I feel the same way about that note. I have no idea how to describe it. It's just perfect.
My groomsmen and I walked down the aisle to this song at my wedding. It's going to always be a part of my life. Such an amazing song!
I've gotta be honest... I can't believe someone used this to walk down the ailse. What did the bride think?
@@looty8982 she was willing to compromise on this because I originally wanted Mordecai. She enjoys this kind of music.
I still think the video would've been better if Jason just stood there throughout the entire song till his solo doing nothing.
gold
LMAO
It's gross; but when you're right, you're right
Tzz huh huh
He should have sit in the background on his throne watching the Polyphia dudes while waiting for his turn.
Are we all in agreement that this man is one, if not, the best bassist of all time?
That solo is a clinic. Where technicality meets feel
This is the most beautiful Polyphia song. Everytime I take a break from it, it plays in my head and I have to play it to try and get rid of it lol.
jason "how many bars u want me to solor for?"
polyphia "yes"
Is the extra r for rapid?
Yes...i will solor for your por favor kang umah itak...
Polyphia: How many bars will your solo last
Jason: Yes
I love the tremolo fulltters in this song so much
Oh gawd! Jason is such a talented guitarist!
There's literally no other guitarist like Jason at the moment!
Check fountainhead, phil tougas , guthrie govan, tosin abasi, kiko loureiro, jeff loomis, rafael trujillo, luke jaeger, michael angelo batio, david davidson, daniel mongrain
I hope you didnt know some of them im sure you are familiar with some
@@craksracing0com708 Friedman
Yo Onityan
Takayoshi Ohmura
Yas Nomura
but no need to put Jason Richardson down...
same level
@@akidk1499 He's not only talking technical skill, by that he meant writing skill too. No one ever wrote music like Jason did until after several years his 1st album came out, plus go check out his latest realease. For me, it's his final solo from Behold (2011). I've never heard anything like that coming around the time that solo was written. His music are cinematic, but still shreddy unlike Animals As Leaders enigmatic music (too prog to enjoy).
@@yokisullivan8647 In fact, I can see a huge influence of John Petrucci on him. Amazing musician although. Saludos. 👍
the lead in at 3.04 is so sick it sent a chill down my spine
Jesus Richardson
+Dillon Turner I died. not literally, but not far from it either.
True JAJAJAJ
I'm really glad Brandon came back !
Pablo Fallas and now he's out forever :(
The solo by Jason is so bittersweet. It makes my heart heavy.
I want Polyphia to perform at my funeral !
MrJohnnyPetey If Polyphia played at my funeral I'd rise up from the grave and just start going crazy.
Memory would be the perfect song!!!!!!!!!
MrJohnnyPetey how sick are you? How long did they give you? they gave my father-in-law 2 months & he lived exactly a year to the day///so keep hope alive braw
Ike Sweat its a joke mate
2:39 Jason Richardson has joined the battle
Scott's eyebrows at 1:22 are the second best part of this video after the music. Art.
Hey I know who's missing from playing with them- he could be a very special guest- Marco Sfogli...!!!
When I first heard them I thought is Marco's band, but I'm glad to see other people rising up and playing so amazing...! Very impressive...!
Keep up the good work!
3:18 I'm pretty sure their guitars are connected together. Must try this technique.
+BMcknightC Seems like Jason is absorbing Tim's guitarist powers to play this killer solo
he needed additional power
It's crazy seeing Tim move so much lmao. He's so still and robotic nowadays. Granted, I have to sit very still and focus when I play their songs, so I get it!
When I first saw these guys on youtube I thought they were a boy band with guitars, but now that I've watched/listened to most of their stuff here I'm pretty amazed - great tunes, amazing playing. Ended up ordering their two albums (since I'm a weirdo that actually buys music).
1:21 the eyebrows strike once again.

Rui Carneiro seen this video countless times, and never saw that.
Rui Carneiro Eyebrow + Nose combo gets all the girls
I never meet people who share my last name
this JR solo is becoming one one my favs of time!!
Not crazy about polyphia but I gotta respect their talent and the Jason Richardson solo is beyond amazing
