Theres a new full length epic coming next week :-) cheers for the support mate
I was camping in Como Lecco
Italy in 1984 during the summer I went to check out the Moto Guzzi Motorcycle Museum and these bloaks from Denmark pull up with a group of LeMans Ii 850s
They were all riding thick skin full riding Leathers the carburetors had velocity Stacks with coarse crosshatch stainless steel covers... that's it and all had high performance exhausts with no inner resonators.
You would have thought a P-51 Mustang just landed in the campground.
It was pure Motorcycle heaven indeed.
Great story 🙂Cheers for adding your bit mate. Ride Free 🙂
I’ll never forget barreling down Highway 60 WO (racing a monsoon) on my Le Mans heading for the annual Guzzi rally in Datil, NM, when a long time buddy of my dad’s came galloping down the road towards me on his Centauro - and it looked absolutely spectacular. Some bikes change their look altogether with a pilot on board, and in my humble opinion, nothing tops it.
They’re not all show either - Guzzi experimented with the gear box or rear drive (its details allude me at the moment) and it really perked the bike up.
All that said, 4 valve Guzzi have been known to have some issues - at least from the perspective of a traditional Guzzi enthusiast - that turned many folks off. In my opinion, I’d prefer the carbureted Sport 1100 over just about any of the 4 valves. Little rougher around some edges, no doubt - but with a little love (and by love, I mean time and money) you could really push even the MGS01 on the right track/road.
Great story 🙂Cheers for adding your bit mate. Ride Free 🙂
Moto guzzi has some cool bikes. I like the moto guzzi audace.
great bikes they will find their place in time. AudaceRider on Instagram always has some great pics, he's a nice guy too, if you like the Audace its worth checking him out 🙂 Cheers for watching mate. Ride Free 🙂
Great vid barebones. I really like those Guzzi’s. Got a Guzzi T-Shirt off you, great quality. Any chance of Moto Morini T-Shirts?
I’ve got a Morini 3 1/2 Strada.
nice one mate, and no problem re the Morini Tshirt, best thing is to email me using the contact form here barebonesmc.com/contact-us/ and i will sort out what is needed, do you want a bike silhouette and logo? or a pic of yours? with or without the logo? as long as original picture is decent quality i can do most things and its easy enough for me to mock up, cheers for the support mate
Love the vids. Much appreciated. But they are too short. Can you do a 3 or 8 hour special?
glad you enjoyed it mate 🙂 These are short excerpts the main video is linked in the description, theres another big epic one coming end of next week too, just finishing the recordings Theres plenty more on the channel and the website, let me know what you think. Cheers for watching. Ride Free 🙂
If I could find a road legal MGS-01 I would happily sell both kidneys!
talked to a guy in Singapore who was getting rid of his collection (a Laverda guy) he had a Centauro AND an MGS 01 replica thing he had put together, it was stunning and i was very tempted by both
Both kidneys 🤣

It seems that the italian bikes in some ways are amazing like the gagiva elephant and that mgs guzzi for example. Sadly often spares were very hard to get and there were big delays and electrics often broke down. Its sad because for me some of their bikes were great handling with some really good motors often being let down by some design weakness.
they have flaws for sure, but dont we all lol🙂Cheers for watching and for the comment mate. Ride Free 🙂
The MG-01 is to die for, but let's hear it for the Griso 1200 SE. Gorgeous bike, very few in the UK and mine is a peach to ride.
I see many complaints about the Griso low speed handling
great bikes and I promise, they will find their place in time 🙂 as to the low speed handling, the only people ive heard complain have apologised soon after lol they arent low slung like a cruiser, so dont balance at low speed so easily. but to anyone whos ridden a first gen Hinkley Triumph they are a dream at low speed lol Cheers for watching. Ride Free 🙂
Some cult leader in Rome had a MGS-01, if I remember correctly?
lol, Holy Guzzi !!! wouldnt surprise me at all mate 🙂Cheers for the comment. Ride Free 🙂
The centauro is my favorite.
Mine too, there is more in the main video linked in the description 🙂Cheers for watching mate. Ride Free 🙂
Centauro is great. Griso 8v better. MGS-01 is to die for.
do like the Griso's, but the styling of the Centauro is something seriously special, have a great weekend mate
Shes a beast for sure, as a V7 owner, id love to swing a leg over one and give it a go.
there is more in the main video linked in the description 🙂Cheers for watching mate. Ride Free 🙂
No. By my experience. Love the design, but I never could make it work properly. :( :( :( :(
what were the problems mate? interested to know
Sweet bike!
Be careful young man.
lol, thanks for the compliment :-), im not so young anymore lol, its not me riding in this one to be clear. I always ride fully protected. too many broken bits not to now lol
@@barebonesmc If you're still riding, you're young enough.. : )
@@bricklawson9745 ive said for years i think the day i cant ride anymore will be the day i die, i was riding before i could walk again at one point lol, not my most sensible hour, thats why im looking at lighter more these days, and luckily the gorgeous one keeps me young 🙂
@barebonesmc The Holy Spirit will watch over us, so we can keep riding for as long as our bodies last ; )
@@bricklawson9745 good luck to ya mate 🙂 have a great weekend
I pronounce it the same maybe we’re from the same era, lovely bike, love the videos keep them coming 👍
its funny how things change too, i was listening to some old TT footage the other day and the commentator was saying Yamaha as Yamaaha, i was pissing myself, but maybe he was right and weve all been saying it wrong for years lol
She's a looker ❤ re; MGS01
I prefer the Centauro personally, but if we all thought the same it would be a boring world mate, 🙂Cheers for watching. Ride Free 🙂
✌
