- 1996 f250 axle swap video part 2. Coil spring dana 60 out of a 2008 f250. Using blowing diesel coil buckets, Track bar Mount, and mostly factory 08 parts. I did end up needing to get the front drive shaft shortened. The rear shocks did help the bounce problem but I believe the problem is "bed bounce". The ride quality is much better than it was with the twin I beam.

Did you use stock front driveline. I seen a video where transfer case was change to use 05 drivelines
I used the obs driveshaft and I had to have it shortened. It cost about $200 for me to have it shortened
What size wheels and tires are those? Want to do that to mine but want to make sure it still fits in the garage
I bolted the front bump stops back on using the factory location. I am using factory superduty coils and one inch coil spacers. Also trimmed crossmember and had to shorten drag link to center steering wheel.
I did not have to trim my drag link

how hard would it be without using a kit? I like the blowing diesel kit im just not a fan of the price tag
You’d likely have to fabricate everything on your own or buy from another company but doing that you’d spend more. Can’t have quality and cheap at the same time
How hard it would be depends on ur experience and fab skills. I didn’t buy a kit but I wish I would have (just for the front). I ended up ordering the buckets and sway bar brackets after not liking the way the factory buckets looked. Set me back 2 weeks and I would have spent less ordering the kit.
@@CestesI guess I’m mainly concerned about the radius arm would a super duty radius arm bracket fit on the frame of a obs?

I done this same swap to my truck and after I finished it my brakes are spongy and my power steering is isn’t working as it should. I was wondering if you noticed any of that as well. I was told a hydro booster would fix my problem.
My brakes were spongy at first. I used a water bottle filled with brake fluid and a piece of tubing from bleeder valve to water bottle to bleed them and it fixed the sponge feeling. My power steering also works really good
If you had your oem parking brake holder would the parking brake work like it’s supposed to 7:55
Maybe if you use the obs rear leafs . The super duty leafs are longer and you have to cut the parking brake holder out of the way
So how does she ride now compared to before ? I’m contemplating on doing a rsk on the front or doing this swap just can’t make up my mind lol I’ve already did skys rsk with 16+ leaf springs in the rear just really needing help deciding on which way I should go
Rides a lot better. Feels much more stable. It also drives perfectly straight and handles bumps exactly like my brothers 06 f260. It did cost a lot tho. If I had a solid axle to begin with im not sure I would do this swap. Although I’ve never drove a solid axle obs I’ve only ever had f250s.
Ya lucky for me I’ve got a solid axle f350 just torn on which way to go with making it ride better but I appreciate the response and the videos keep up the good work

Stock 2022 f250, they measure around 33”
