Thanks Paul, Brain cancer changed the way I eat too. I was diagnosed with stage 3 brain cancer just after turning 33. I was told I had a 25% chance of living 5 years.....I am now 52, nutrition saved my life. Keep up the great work!!!
Hi Paul, thanks for sharing your dietary regime. Do you drink alcohol? If so, is it just a couple of beers on a weekend night or are you tee total. Best regards from Liverpool, England
He hit it right at the opening ... mindset. Also, it's your beliefs. I'm 69 and I don't think of myself as old. I SEE myself as young; always have. Paul, I have tried over and over again to be perfect in my diet/lifestyle choices and I always fail. To see that you don’t deprive yourself and you look and feel great is amazing. I have some changes to make.
I've had this mind set for almost all my life. I've been working out for over 45 years. I'm 69 now and my videos show how I've kept my physique for my whole life. I try to never get out of a 5 lb. positive or negative range. If I'm out of range I eat less or eat more to get back. 5lbs is easily controllable for me.
Great video Paul. You seem like a really solid guy. I'm 67 (can't believe it) and have been lifting regularly since I was 22. I like your common-sense eating habits. For me, working out is the easy part. Eating healthy "consistently" is the challenge lol
Nailed it! I’m 61 and at 6’3” 177. My weight has not fluctuated more than 5 pounds since high school. I eat and think exactly as you do. Weigh yourself everyday and your weight cannot get away from you if you react properly.
Appreciate the insight. I love that you started this video the right way, explaining the foundation of what and how you do it. After watching this it makes me want to hunker down even more. Like you said, this may not work for everyone as you have to find your own way.
Great Video! You are human..lol Appreciate the simplicity and honesty. Your DISCIPLINE (MINDSET) is extraordinary. Mindset is the first key for all and any success in life. Thanks 🙂
Thanks for sharing Paul. Your nutrition is very similar to mine. I have oats, whey & blueberries. 3 large free range eggs on one slice of sourdough. 250g 0% fat Greek yogurt & half scoop whey sometimes with almonds or bit of granola (have this twice through the day). Dinner is chicken or beef with potatoes or rice and veg, tbsp olive oil. Snacks are 85% dark choc and two apples throughout the day :D
Love it complete honesty and no BS. I eat very similar and just lost 50lbs with 10 more to go before abs visible so good to know I'm on right track. I don't deny myself either but if I want sweets will usually eat them after a big leg day where I might have lifted 25,000lbs and I tend to ruck for 20-30 mins before to warmup so extra bad carbs aren't hurting me at all.
Equally the best advise and mindset if have seen...Josh at Strengthside has similar views who I have been following for years , I never miss your videos now .. Great stuff.
Iove it! I've adopted a similar lifestyle over the last year.. just constant conscious eating habits.. always thinking about what I'm putting into my body. Ive incorporated intermittent fasting (I enjoy skipping an early breakfast) and eat around noon typically. I don't cut out carbs completely, but I certainly don't overload on them. I avoid soft drinks and try to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Not over eating is probably the most important thing.
Thank you, sir. All about the mind set is what I took from this. I'm training for my 70th and have been getting discouraged, mostly because of my inability to be disciplined with my diet. I'm 69 years old and have about 11 months to go. I've been road cycling and lifting for about the last 6 years or so. You've inspired my to battle on.... THANKS!
I'm always finding ways to tweak my fitness routine without hurting my joints. I've incorporated your bilateral and unilateral combo lifts to all my dumbell training, on both push and pull days.Don't have to use excessively heavy weights, since I'm achieving failure at the number 4 rep. Still lifting a bit heavy on compounds, but finishing with dumbells, single, single both, single single both both, single single both both both. What a great system! Thanks!!!!!

This makes the most sense to me tbh. I have went through many diets. None seemed maintainable. I even did 2 24+ days water only fasts, but that was to get rid of tonns of fat and reset my body and relationship with food(later realized this). But what works is being disciplined, and rarely irresponsible. We know what we should and shouldn't eat. It's not rocket science. But we need to do it, and to not give into cravings.
Great video Paul. I enjoyed it. Trying to get my mindset right now and avoid the temptations I have to eat junk. Been really focusing on what I put in my body to get healthier and lose weight. My eyes have been opened as the majority of products contain harmful ingredients or junk. A lot are banned in other countries!!! When I finish the protein I'm using, I'm switching to Transparent Labs. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Thanks for making this video Paul, lots of great info. I really hope that sometime in the futute you speak honestly about TRT, HGC and HGH use. It's great to talk about chicken and rice diets but the procurring cause of retaining significant muscle after 50 are the PED's.

thanks for the info! its great people can see that you can eat pretty normal food and not have to eliminate almost the entire food pyramid to stay healthy. some people will probably have a lot of trouble digesting what info is in this video (pardon the pun!)
Recent research has found bananas are a great food, but they're not good to add to a shake. There's something in them that blocks you from absorbing nutrients from other fruits, vegetables and foods. Their best eaten stand alone between these meals or shakes. You can look up studies by Dr. Rhonda Patrick and other well-known nutrition experts.

I'm 40 and have hovered around 135-140 for most of my adult life. Currently, I basically fluctuate from 140-150. When I got up to 155, my stomach came out like crazy. My abs show between 140-145, but it's the sharpest around 135. Can I achieve a flat stomach with abs at 150?
Great vid. Appreciate the openness about your diet. Very helpful info. Tell me please - I have heard Creatine could cause hair loss. Is that nonsense??
Watching and writing from Austria 🇦🇹 man you look so damn amazing! Its so true what you say its all about balance/mind set. Eat healthy-read ingredients understand them, train, rest, allow oneself. And what stack do you recommend? Thank you for your time.
I used to run a lot of miles. Up to 17 miles. With all kinds of races. Then I got arthritis on my hip.had to get surgery . Then I lost my vision. I had some bad times
Just found your channel. It’s great. I am 67 years old and pretty good shape. I work out 3 days a week. Should it be more if you want to get more tone?
My tip make most of your daily meals more protein based and cut right back on the carbs. More fish and chicken less red meats plenty of fruit and vegetables. It is very surprising how much we all over eat, you actually only need a fraction of the amount of food you consume daily. Quality over quantity. Plus drink a lot of pure natural water.
Thanks Paul! Great stuff with caveat...using creatine a long time (natty bb in late 30's) up to 6 months ago (58 y/o) kidney labs were off @ physical ( I'm an R.N. so in my wheelhouse😉) diagnostics revealed no issues so stopped creatine/back to normal. Also, whey isolate separates the aminos (vs. concentrate) free glutamine MAY have relationship to some neuro issues...anywho...bravo on your external and internal gifts and thanks for sharing!!

Don't be shy - you should ask him out on a date...
@@sh856531 why bother dating him when i have all the shirtless material i need of him on social media
That would be great!
Bro that’s no super diet plan. You look great man I’m inspired. Thanks
Thanks for sharing Sir. I love the way you talk about eating and focusing on the body.. and the way you taking the foods for your body 😃
An honest, truly informational, and well-thought video.
Thank you. I like to keep it simple.
THANK U FOR NOT BEING A SUCKER!!! I was watching the video and *Waiting waiting….(leo di caprio with 🍷 whistling and pointing…..) there it is there it is THE PLUG AND EVEN GOT HIS MUG ON THE TUB 😂😂😂😂😂 people u guy are such suckers it astounds me! HE WILL NOT ADMIT TO STEROID AND GEAR IF HE’S PROMOTING ‘LEGAL’ supps and yes HE’S ON THE BASIC STUFF*

57 yrs old.... train, eat, sleep repeat, it's not rocket science🤙💪
I'm 51 and getting in the best shape of my life. It's the same routine every day (train, eat, sleep repeat) , but consistency is the key! Totally agree with your comment. :)
very true and forget the weekend cheat meals😂
@@jasonlorance1918 respect to you💪
And when do you live?
It’s a lifestyle
thanks for the info! its great people can see that you can eat pretty normal food and not have to eliminate almost the entire food pyramid to stay healthy. some people will probably have a lot of trouble digesting what info is in this video (pardon the pun!)
Good advice. I'm similar and over 10yrs older.
I love you approach Paul. Real and to the point. Thank you

Been waiting on this video. Thanks Paul!

Awesome info!!! Thanks!!! 58 not obese but not cut...😢 love the positive realistic view very helpful!!!
I take the TL Lean pre workout, Intra and Hydrate during my workout, and TL's Whey Isolate Protein post workout...love 'em all. I've been taking a different company's Creatine Monohydrate, but will be switching to TL's Creatine HMB for my next purchase.
Love grits. Grew up on them. Only have on occasion.
This dude is an all out jock!
Being simple, conscious and consistent, thats it.
I've enjoyed your videos because you're all action, not a lot of talking. Here you do a lot of talking and I enjoyed it just as much. Like the straight talk without all the "Hollywood" trappings.
Just turning 51 in two weeks just starting training now, never too late right.
Feel your body feel your mind. The only supplement i like is a whey-protein shake…. That supplement business 🫣 its a business 😉.
You my friend u are insprational for us old guy natted superstar rite u got me back in the gym and ill try to beet u...
Glad to help. Go for it!
Discipline and consistency👍🏽
You have my vote.
Brilliant, I follow on Instagram, ended up here and got answer to many questions! Subbed to the channel obviously! 👍
I am conscious that your body is the fruit of a life of training, didn't happened overnight!!!!
Thanks for the tips and motivation 🙏.
Thanks for all the knowledge!🙏🏽
i do scrambled eggs a lot too but with spinach and feta cheese..
I hope you read this and reply. I really enjoy your videos and no nonsense approach on being fit and healthy. I'm 51 also as of September 2nd. I'm a truck driver and am on the road coast to Coast 2-3 months at a time. I bought some dumbbells to use in the truck. I also like the transparent labs products, but my question is, do you stack ? And what stack do you recommend? Thank you for your time.
That's exactly what I do, first true Man on internet
I used to run a lot of miles. Up to 17 miles. With all kinds of races. Then I got arthritis on my hip.had to get surgery . Then I lost my vision. I had some bad times
Appreciate your knowledge brother!!
Just found your channel. It’s great. I am 67 years old and pretty good shape. I work out 3 days a week. Should it be more if you want to get more tone?
So you don’t worry about carbs. I’ve recently went low carb not full keto at 55yrs and I’ve dropped a lot of body fat. Still more work to do tho!
