    I agree with him , I am 60 years young , and I grind like an athlete like I used to be ie football , and track . Very similar to Paul . You have to change your mindset and you can achieve your goals , but be realistic with your physical capabilities, but don’t let that limit you ,, work hard , eat right IE Keto or low carb high protein and fat . And do things that are uncommon and uncomfortable be comfortable being uncomfortable !! Old school training never fails . Heavy compound lifts and movements , Squatting , Deadlifts , Rows , flipping heavy tire, sledge hammer swings , Cleans with weights or heavy bag works wonders for the CNS and will build explosive foundational strength . Also you do not need a gym membership to do any of these movements . Also I have found that short interval sprints is excellent for increasing lean muscle mass ,IMO much better than walking for 45 minutes . You will actually burn more calories and build muscle . The key to longevity is keeping lean muscle and moving …. Go Get it !!!!!

      Absolutely!
      I have three rules I live by:
      1. Move or die. (exercise/seek discomfort)
      2. You are what you eat. (health/quality of life)
      3. Calories in, calories out. (weight management)

    It is unrealistic to lead people to believe that there is zero reason a person can’t look like you. You’ve had a single minded focus on diet and training for your whole life. So single minded that you made a career of it over decades of hard work. A person starting your program of workouts will probably never look like you. Maybe it would be better to encourage each person to become the best version of themselves. I would love to play football like Tom Brady, but even using the very good advise you gave here that is not reasonable. Results that you’ve achieved are great, but maybe tailor the message to those who want to improve themselves,but don’t have thirty years to do so. Thanks for what you do.

    Im 69 years old and I weight train 3 times a week without fail. People guess my age at 50-55. Ive been an athlete all my life and I'm reaping the benefits at this point in my life. My metabolism is in overdrive. I eat five times a day and no love handles. Ive been able to commit to training after retirement. Its the only body I'll ever have so i take care of it.

    Good to see him back, but he can use a long vacation, if possible, just to refresh himself. I can tell he probably works tirelessly long days and who knows, has a big family, and runs a business. That's a lot. But power to him for doing what he does daily.
    A good vacation personally is to get away from people, go somewhere quietly without noise (possibly a hotel), and sleep there for 2-3 days. Kind of impossible when you are the head of your family, but just saying.

    MINDSET - when you have SET your MIND to accomplish a task come hell or high water. It is a deadly commitment to do that thing which you have SET your MIND to do. It is a STUBBORN persistence to succeed despite many setbacks.

    Paul if and when you get sick do you do anything to help your healing and how much off time to give yourself before starting to work out. I have chronic bronchitis, so it can be trying and a lengthy time. I appreciate your work out advice and your workouts. I’m 74 trying to maintain workout frequency but when illness strikes it become a setback.

    Philosophical question: can you train the mindset (let’s call it the willingness) or it’s something given when you are born like DNA? In others words does it exist a training drill for the mindset?

    • @PaulSklarxfit
      @PaulSklarxfit  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Certainly being born with DNA that leads you in that direction is very helpful. The rest comes down to practicing making good choices that best benefit you, repeatedly, until it becomes second nature.

    Hey coach Paul , I want to be like you when I grow up . I bought the Bulk pre workout , the creatine and the grass fed protein shake and a fat burner called Kaged clean burn . Can you please explain how I can take all these on a daily basis like in what order or what can I mix together if possible ? Much appreciated god bless .

    • @PaulSklarxfit
      @PaulSklarxfit  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You take the Bulk about 20-30 min before your workout. I usually take my creatine mixed with my whey protein immediately after my workout. Recently I have been putting a 1/2 scoop in my BCAA’s right before my workout and the other half in my protein. I usually drink 2 protein shakes per day in the morning hours. I’m not familiar with the fat burner but so would not mix it or take it with the pre workout because most likely it has a stimulant in it. Hope that helps💪🏼

    • @PaulSklarxfit
      @PaulSklarxfit  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely. I always say how lucky I have been to be in the business that I love for more than 30 years. Bottom line, you get in what is possible and attainable for your lifestyle. It’s not easy for anyone unless it’s an integral part of your lifestyle.

    The REAL 3 reasons are simple;
    1. Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)
    2. Anavar
    3. Trenbolone
    Why can't these TH-cam fitness influencers keep it real. This dude is 50+ with a physique that destroys professional athletes in their prime. *GTFOH with anything other than this BS talk. 🤔*

    • @questionauthority-f6i
      @questionauthority-f6i ปีที่แล้ว

      He's clearly not on anavar or tren, don't be ridiculous. Not only does he not look like he's on those, but his lab results also confirm that fact. As far as TRT is concerned, it's really difficult, even with lab work, to tell if someone is using low-dose TRT or not. I personally believe he is not on TRT, and take him at his word on that. His labs could be interpreted either way on that topic in my opinion, but it doesn't really matter either way to me because the content is excellent regardless.
