As someone already mentioned, you should totally check the Rebel RC Rebelcon (originally a Yikong Racing model). A lot of bang for your buck. Scale features hinder its performance, but it's unstoppable as a trail rig.
I have 2 rtr versions. Same weaknesses between them. Slipper clutch is junk. Front cv joints in the axles can break if your kids full throttle it to much and a tire gets jammed. Other than that I love them
I have the rc rebelcon.. it also has lockable diffs and a two speed and portals... I love it! And it's loaded with lights.. you should take a look at it!

Do the Cross XT-4, probably one of the coolest looking and scalest crawlers out there at the moment and all the main channels are ignoring it...also the AT6 6x6 looks cool, is it because Cross aren't giving them out for free that the big channels aren't interested?
Thank you you make me want to get out & Crawl. Been raining on & off for a week now in the Santa Barbara area including today. Early Sat morning & already started. I’ll be lucky to maybe get some wheeling time in Sunday but more rain on the way. May have to take out the waterproof crawlers only.
Actually no the traxxas is spot on for their locker set up. I mean yes one at a time is great. But the fact that you can have the front on and unlock
The rear is a wonderful tool when wanting to break rear tracking aid in geo digs and so forth. I enjoy jamming one of the rear tires
On an object with the front locked and digging around. Especially if your body contacts the rear tires it’s even better. Think the rebel jeep is the best at which ever one you want. Or just change the radio. I like that cross thanks for the share
Actually there’s two rigs I know of that had locking and unlocking diffs, trx4 of course and actually a old rig which is the Venom Creeper even though it’s a add on still remote locking diffs

I have a Cross RC AT4 EMO RTR...love the look, struggling with shifting servo...but like this kit!
Yea I'm having trouble adjusting it to shift correctly into low and high gear.
Cross rc US.. you can email them for the shift servo correction kit, free. It came out a few months after the at4 debuted.
I am today years old finding this out....What...how did I not know this...I emailed them back and forth about slipper, shimming...blah blah...guess they left that little gem out..

I need a review of the Cross RC JT-6, trying to decide between it an A TRX Mercedes. I'm not finding a lot of parts availability with Cross RC though. Francis, I need your help!
I have the pick-up version of this truck, the AT4V and I love it. I installed quite a few upgrade parts when I built it (e.g. alum alloy parts, brass parts, etc.) plus a few accessories to further improve the scale realism. You can check the AT4V video series on my channel, BlackSeaRC.

Francis I posted some questions on your Trx4 bronco light kit video, it’d be killer if you could help me out with those. I could also post a video showing the issue and my setup if needed
Maybe it's just late or I'm just not not thinking straight but either way how is it any different then the trx4? My trx4 running a Dx5 and a 5 channel receiver can lock just the front independently or just the rear independently or both simultaneously. It's always in 4 wheel drive though. Are you saying the cross can be shifted into 2 wheel drive with open diff? Help Francis! I don't understand.

I'm confused, you said you can't lock the traxxis diffs individually, when you can. And that rig does both at once? I've heard you say before the traxxis diffs are useless i guess I'm missing something.
How would you compare it with the new FMS FCX 10 Blazer?
Nevermind I get it now. Your saying with the stock radio the trx4 does not allow you to lock both the front and rear without locking just the front first
I've noticed the same thing with my gladiator, just a slug. Even with the hobbywing brushless sensored combo, just feels slow even for a crawler. I know it's not for speed runs but cmon lol

Could you please tell me if the thrust articulation with the preinstalled ESC is enough or should I exchange it with the "universal" Hobbywing 1080 ESC???

The Hobbywing 1080 is meh. Hobbywing AXE or Castle Mamba X are the way to go.

The Hobbywing AXE and Castle Mamba look and sound great but are not in my price range at the moment...and I'm still a beginner when it comes to upgrading my rc...therefore the rtr...

Search his channel for Trx4. He already has a bunch of videos on it for you to watch. But to save you a little time, just get a trx4, great vehicle. Traxxas makes durable and reliable vehicles if you're willing to pay their prices.

@@Manuelblancobanderagetting spare parts and upgrades will be harder for the off brand RCs, beware
@@Manuelblancobandera Yeah like hearthstone said. Trx4 actually has the biggest after market parts selection in the entire rc market. You can literally find thousands of different options from different brands. For that reason alone I highly recommend it if you want to upgrade and customize your rig.

Who would pass up a trx4 for this junk if it breaks how do you get parts and at that price might as well save up a little more for the traxxas with parts galore and customer service

There's no comparison of the AT4 and JT4 to Cross RCs older crawlers. They're totally different and way better.
