i'm sitting here, 27 years old. i started listening to you guys in 2005 when Juturna came out... I was 14. It's been quite a ride. Thank you for still going.
Braxnond what's up family. Homies have come so far, i can't believe we've gotten older together, but here we are. We are the spark to for the show to begin
Braxnond literally me.. 13 years and Still got them on repeat while I cruise through adulthood. 27? Nah I’m still 14-17 reliving Juturna and On Letting Go
I was a sophomore in High school in 2006...Juturna immediately consumed my life when I first gave it a listen on my iPod because a friend told me to download their music. I never forgot the feeling I felt when those strings and sounds went straight into my ears. I knew I discovered something significant that would shape my life into something better. It sounds corny but the power of music is a real thing. 2007 came and on letting go came out and once again they made another masterpiece of an album. I spent the whole summer with my friends drinking and blasting that album all summer. Those times were so innocent and hopeful. Circa Survive holds dear in my heart and I'll never turn my back on them.
This is better than usual. Sometimes I think they make a lot of sound on the records that isn't necessarily lending itself to the song, but everything has been tight on these 3 tracks so far.
i dont agree with that at all. A lot of that sound lends to the psychedelic nature of the band and really reveals itself depending on how you are listening to the music,
I think he means instances like when he sings "this ghost has been with you all along" in the first verse or when he sings "has grown and lost its feel long ago" before the second chorus or the parts in the bridge at 3:40 since he's hitting the high notes but not with full force like the outro verse of the song. Those parts are definitely all falsetto, but I totally agree with you - he's definitely one of the best and most genuine singers of our age!
0:23 seeing Anthony genuinely smile, knowing the years of pain that are in all of his lyrics....so great to see that there’s still a small fire of hope. Such an inspiration. Wonderful how someone’s struggles can be used to benefit others through the creativity and seemingly hopelessness, gives others that vital shred of hope to keep going. Beautiful song.
Martin Gutierrez I remember Violent Waves just coming out when I first got clean. That album will always hold such a dear place in my heart. I hope this album does for you what that album did for me. Keep your head up brother!
Idk why people have been shitting on circa since descensus came out because that album was really unique. Honestly, I've gone back and listened to their older shit since then and descensus is such an evolution of what this band is capable of. AG is in a better place and that album is such an emotional response of his struggles. I, for one, love how they've progressed as many bands tend to sell out.
Nick Rhoades I think Descensus is their best album musically. I dont think most people gave it much of a chance, its much more dense and complex than any of their previous albums.
TheAlibabatree For sure dude I agree. Plus, I think it's a more "required" taste (no condescension intended) because it's their most proggy album. Plus the album has one of the best covers of all time, I think, given the meaning and emotional discharge let off by AG. The amulet (both song and album) has sounded like a good mix of all of their albums so I have high hopes they will pick up where they left off with descensus.
Hearing this band kills me because it reminds me of my older brother who introduced me to Circa Survive. He passed away almost a month ago at the age of 38. i miss him so much.
Of my all time favs of theirs. It's really beautiful considering all the pain he's been through. This album in particular he said something about him not being numb for the first time because he couldn't stand to be in his own body. ❤️ And opening up to the world for the first time really. So seeing that little smile, in combination with the video being focused on AG in his own body, content, and seemingly happy for the moment is a beautiful thing.
Seriously, I don't think Anthony nor Circa Survive quite comprehend or understand how much they mean to some of us, alongside the issues and addictions their music has helped us through. I have met the band, as well have been able to speak with Anthony the past 4-5 times they have come to Vegas and he's one of the coolest, most down to earth dude I have ever met, which leads me to believe that's why this band is so easy to relate to. They dont care about the money (hell, if they were able to play shows for free, I bet you they would), but rather, they care more about their fans and the music we create more than anything else. I'm still very thankful to this day, that Circa Survive has never sold out, but rather, they have chosen the path that makes them truely happy. The day Circa Survive splits up is the day everyone of their fans will be effected, and I hope that doesn't happen for a very very long time. Also, if you have the chance, search for them playing "Sharp Practice" in a tattoo shop, Anthony ends up serenading a cat throughout the first half of it.
It's the complex variety of notes in their song structure that makes this band so good. That's what all their albums have, uniqueness and with Anthony's powerful vocals, Circa Survive still hold their place as my favorite band.
Holy shit that is AWESOME. Here's to manymanymanymany Circa babies!! Maybe then CS will ACTUALLY go mainstream and make a ton of money and get popular AF. They so deserve it, and it's such a tragedy they aren't more well known and liked. So much talent in this band it's unreal.
Yo I took a bus from Vancouver to Seattle to see these guys last November! Such an incredible show, I've hardly ever seen a happier and more smiley crowd. What a great night.
I'm really glad to find someone else who tries to value title tracks more highly. For me, they are *supposed* to be something "more" as a representation of the album itself. Good on you.
a title track for me is supposed to showcase the overall theme and mood for the album it's titled after. This band is on a whole other level and they definitely set the mood and set the tone for each album they release. great stuff❤️❤️
I can not say Thankyou enough for writing this song. You saved me from suicide with your gift. Absolutely the most beautifully written song, and it changed my life.
i was walking to work one morning a few days after this album came out. i was hooked on dope and speed . . . just getting by. i remember walking across the highway to get to the mall where my job was. at that time in my life especially, i felt a hollowness inside myself that i knew was there that i kept trying to stuff away. i imagined walking in front of a car as it sped through the green light. this song was playing, and i just kept on walking to work because the sound of the song made me feel as though i wasn't alone in how i felt. im now sober over 14 months.
Anthonys voice is simply 1 of a kind.colin, brendan, nick ,steven....amazing at what they do, such great chemistry..seen every show in Michigan plan on keepn that tradition. I keep playing this song over and over. LOVE!! Hands down 4ever my favorite.
Favorite band since I was 15, so many emotions when I hear their songs. I have no friends that appreciate how incredible they really are. It's like my own personal thing, but Circa is the best. I've never appreciated a band more.
I love the way Circa Survive makes me feel. I either feel like a child and the world so new, vast, and exciting. Or I feel like I'm in the womb, vulnerable, but safe and protected.
Have you kissed the ground In service of the needless Forgotten face Found tucked away And vacuum black This ghost has been with you All along My voice is lost, inherently violent We already made our casket stand Trust when you're dead You wanted it so bad You didn't see how fucked it was All the pulses were a line Anesthetize you waste away In the city you wept a grave Decay Drilled to the chest The amulet receives our Forgotten face And in its place The mirror scar Has grown And lost its feel long ago My voice is lost, inherently violent We already made our casket stand Trust when you're dead You wanted…

What an epic. So mesmerizing. The overall lighting caused by the fireworks almost dislocates the background and Anthony. I have no idea if that makes sense to anyone else. Another sic song by Circa that leaves me breathless. Looking toward that album!
I love how at 00:24 he shares a laugh with a random lady passing by and keeps it in the video, instead of cutting it out and just re-doing it. Anthony's always come across as one of the most humble musicians out there. Does not take himself too seriously or deifies himself despite being one of the most talented voices in the game

Violent Waves and OLG are probably my favorites, but I'm really looking forward to this next album since it seems to be a pinnacle of their previous work's greatest traits so far.
My favorite albums are On the Letting Go and Descensus. I like their other albums a lot too (this new one so far my become my third fav or second fav depending how good the album as a whole is like. If I had to list them it be like this favorite to least favorite. Descensus On the Letting Go Juturna Blue Sky Noises Violet Waves.
Who else got chiills when this song started. Woah!!! Goosebumps on my hole body. Thank you circa survive. Since I was 16 you've been helping me heal heartache deep heart wounds. I love you guys so much!!!! Thank you thank you thank you
I was 15 when I first found Circa Survive. I was obsessed. I'm STILL obsessed. Anthony, you have inspired many, and I am one of them. You gave me the courage to put my words on paper. I stopped so many things in my life with the help of your music. You held my soul together with your melodies and your voice. You're like the pied piper of the strange terrain. I love your brain man. Seriously. You're creativity absolutely makes me feel so many emotions. I really enjoy connecting to your sounds. Thank you and the whole band.
Holy fuck AG does it again been listening non-stop for a year. Such mesmerizing instrumentals mixed with the insane vocals. Circa don't ever stop playing I live for your tunes!!! Lyrics are too relatable at times.
It's so extremely rare to find a group as wildly skilled as this to keep getting better with time. Like you all are one of the only ones I get excited when a new album comes out. That's saying A LOT. Please swing by the east coast next time you are doing a tour. I wanna cross it off my bucket list
This is slowly becoming my favorite album since Juturna. Juturna was a masterpiece, and they've been getting progressively better after Blue Sky Noise, but I think this album is a huge step forward. Fantastic!! The element of juxtaposition is always what has made Circa Survive special to me, Juturna was the pinnacle of that, On Letting Go still had it but started to walk away from it, and after that they've just been a great progressive/alt rock band with post-hardcore/emo influences, but this ... this album is starting to feel like they're really getting into a sweet zone and really developing along with breaking some new ground. Absolutely love it. Ignore the haters Circa Survive, you're definitely on the right path. Brilliant album so far!
god damn I continue to fall further and further in love with this band.. they continue to evolve yet stay true to the original sound that captivated my soul back in high school times.. probably a reason I have most of their album covers tattooed on my arm
Best Circa song I've heard in a long time... Juturna was by far my favorite, followed by On Letting Go, and then I've only really liked a few tracks from each new album... I'm very excited to dive into this album now 😊
Manchester Orchestra and Brand New delivered so hard, Circa Survive will be next to join them in what I think is the best year in music in my 23 years alive.
Listening to this gave me that same breathless anxiety in my chest that falling in love does. The lyrics "trust when you're dead, you wanted it so bad you didn't see how Fucked it was........my God!!!! I know Im not the only one that can relate. I was extremely fortunate to see this song performed intimately in front of a very small crowd during a VIP session in Grand Rapids Michigan on 8-12-17. It was the first time I heard the song and in a way......I wish I would have heard it before the performance. But even though I had never heard it before.....seeing this song performed in such an intimate setting was one of the most surreal and best experiences of my life.
I was lucky enough to catch you guys in salt lake city after 13 yrs in the army february 15 2017 it was one of my favorite shows and i wish you guys would come back this way.
The influence Chino Moreno and the Deftones is so evident. If I had to pick though it'd be Anthony Green for sure though. His vocal range is out of this world...Good luck on your sobriety man.WE NEED YOU ANTHONY G! Juturna changed my life. thank you ♡♡♡
I like the echoing guitar tones in this album so far. In my opinion I think I could've gone the rest of this time without hearing anymore singles. I want to hear the album as a whole and be surprised. If they keep releasing singles its going to feel like I already know the whole thing. Sort of like how it happened with Manchester Orchestras new album.
I wasnt crazy about Violent Waves, and I did not really like Descensus, but with the 3 singles released for this Im super stoked! Should be a great album!
I've never hated a circa album. They all have their own identities and I love that. Blue Sky Noise is my favorite by far though. Helped me with some serious shit in high school. Violent waves and Descencus were both amazing too.
Every Circa Record has it's own identity. I know people say that about bands all the time but it's definitely true for these guys. Violent Waves was an interesting experiment and they came up with some cool almost Brand New esque songs, Descensus to me is a record meant to be played live mostly. I think maybe the sound was too big in some ways, sometimes less is more and I think they're really making sure that everything in the soundscape on these new songs so far really belongs there. Seems like fuckin flawless composition so far, but I'm entirely biased.
I've already reached the deep deep wonderful cave of this new album, kudos circa survive, long live to the band members and to your music career. I'm your no.1 filipino fan 😉

Braxnond literally me.. 13 years and Still got them on repeat while I cruise through adulthood. 27? Nah I’m still 14-17 reliving Juturna and On Letting Go
still their two best pieces of work, with blue sky noise closely following.
I was a senior in high school i listened to Juturna so much while In Afghanistan time flies
I was a sophomore in High school in 2006...Juturna immediately consumed my life when I first gave it a listen on my iPod because a friend told me to download their music. i dont agree with that at all. A lot of that sound lends to the psychedelic nature of the band and really reveals itself depending on how you are listening to the music,
John Riddler well said. They almost have this trance like effect in the guitar, it's great.
With nicks bass line along with it; magic. 👌
childofbhaal - and rightfully so. This is shit
Anything Anthony Green touches turns to gold.
Anthony Gold.
king midas of music
Anthony's falsetto sounds so gorgeous.
Anthony sounds so gorgeous
definitely sets him apart from the rest
my god, yes.
Not a falsetto. His own voice unaltered, which makes it all the more genuine
I think he means instances like when he sings "this ghost has been with you all along" in the first verse or when he sings "has grown and lost its feel long ago" before the second chorus or the parts in the bridge at 3:40 since he's hitting the high notes but not with full force like the outro verse of the song. and I'm in high school all over again. Amazing.
Strawberry Smoothie so true :)
Agreed !!
Strawberry Smoothie I was thinking the same thing
You are what I'm looking for
oh yes dam im seeing them in VIp pump up for this november
circa survive has only gotten better, it’s rare we get a band this special
Completely agree with you. It's insanity
Agreed. I've yet to find a band as unique as them.

Something I hope to do as a vocalist one day
As a poet that writes from the same realm as Anthony Green I honestly feel this on a spiritual level
So beautiful. ❤️ Very inspiring indeed. I will always love this band with every fiber of my being.
The feeling I get in my chest while listening to this song is delightful.
Josh Webber better than the feeling of Julian Edelman being out an entire year.... Too soon?
Josh Webber Haha. Ya'll have cooks, he's a beast! Peace and love, my friend!
Go Pat's!!!!!
I know what you mean!!!! so incredible!
Using these new songs to help me get my life back together.
this was the only band I remember listening to sober.

Funny, this is the band I listened to when using. These guys and Brand New
Fuck. I honestly think I have a drinking problem

That last verse where anthony starts scream singing is SUBLIME. This song builds itself up so well.

decensus was the first ablum from any band i listened to from start to finish and loved it all.
I like all of their albums. Idk what problem people have with chill albums
I prefer Circa's song especially during Fall season.
its fall
Spot on. Juturna and On Letting Go sound like Pennsylvania in Fall and Winter to me. Dark early and cold
It's Fall :')
I was just saying this to myself...
The season to be depressed
Hearing this band kills me because it reminds me of my older brother who introduced me to Circa Survive.

Reading the lyrics while listening makes them exponentially more powerful. Soooooo good.
Nothing they've released so far for The Amulet comes close to On Letting Go

In the city you wept a grave
Decay
Drilled to the chest

The mirror scar
Has grown
And lost its feel long ago

Holy fuck AG does it again been listening non-stop for a year. Such mesmerizing instrumentals mixed with the insane vocals. Circa don't ever stop playing I live for your tunes!!! Lyrics are too relatable at times.
It's so extremely rare to find a group as wildly skilled as this to keep getting better with time. Like you all are one of the only ones I get excited when a new album comes out. That's saying A LOT. Please swing by the east coast next time you are doing a tour. I wanna cross it off my bucket list
Another 10/10 song from a band that everything they do is 10/10. Thanks Circa I really needed this new album lol
this song is euphoric. Anthony Green is incredible. just so beautiful
I'm very excited to dive into this album now 😊
Every album is legitimately fire
@@jam3152 The beauty of music... what's not for some hits others :)
The Amulet is not just a song. It's a way of life.
This album got me through so much. The Amulet will always be one of my favorites from them. Love how each song is different
@@outmindbeats same here brother. The Amulet and Flesh and Bone helped me through rough patches.
Manchester Orchestra and Brand New delivered so hard, Circa Survive will be next to join them in what I think is the best year in music in my 23 years alive.
Best song Anthony Green has came out with in a while. Was smiling throughout the first time hearing this.
That was incredibly beautiful. Each new song always gets me excited for their next albums. Never disappointed.
One of the best circa songs ive heard in a while, almost as good as suitcase.
Listen to this song religiously, so soothing. i love circa survive
a band that never disappoints
He played this during his solo tour and believe me it sounds just as good live. Can't fucking wait for the new album!
Another amazing song by Circa that I need to learn how to play. Well done you magical fucks.
Best artist poetically since pink floyd. I love it!!! I love circa and all their albums. Such a beautiful angelic voice
July, 2019 and I can’t stop listening this beautiful song. (One of the best Circa Survive song).
May, 2020 i still can’t get enough of this album. It’s a masterpiece haha.
Damn I've been a fan for awhile but this song puts me oddly at peace like no other Wow.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
That ending is lush
Those guitars slurps and riffs give me life!!!!!
Just seen them in Orlando with Thrice and Balance and Composure!!! Great Concert
Man CS always makes me feel a certain kinda way. Those vocals are some of the best ever.
Every single so far from this is so unique. This is gearing up to be one of the best albums of the year
Amazing track! Gave me goosebumps the first time I heard this one. Love this as much as "Friends All Gone." Mad passion in this song!!
I was lucky enough to catch you guys in salt lake city after 13 yrs in the army february 15 2017 it was one of my favorite shows and i wish you guys would come back this way.
I can't stop listening to this song his voice is just freaking beautiful❤️💕
Live, when Anthony hits that "DECAY".....uggghhhh. My heart melts!
Amazing song from the most amazing band ever concieved.
Unique sounds.. I love you guys from my core..
The influence Chino Moreno and the Deftones is so evident. If I had to pick though it'd be Anthony Green for sure though. His vocal range is out of this world...Good luck on your sobriety man.WE NEED YOU ANTHONY G!
Juturna changed my life. thank you ♡♡♡
All of this is truly beautiful.
Wow this is incredible! Makes my body tingle
Great atmosphere guys..
Circa is a beast !!!!! Rocking that shit since 06
I wasnt crazy about Violent Waves, and I did not really like Descensus, but with the 3 singles released for this Im super stoked! Should be a great album!
Yeah Decencus did nothing for me. Nesting Dolls is amazing though.
Same
Rico Roman I LOVED descensus, idk how I feel about these new songs
This by far is the most majestic music video I've ever seen. It fits the song so beautifully. #musicworship
I've been replaying this song over and over for the past week, it's so good oh my god
Always loved everything this band has put out, love Circa
I've already reached the deep deep wonderful cave of this new album, kudos circa survive, long live to the band members and to your music career. I'm your no.1 filipino fan 😉
I didn't knew I needed this!
I lost my memory and found this song again..... this song is so beautiful......🖤
