FINALLY! I opened a fidelity account but had ZERO clue on what to do…this video is literally someone holding my hand, walking me through the steps and providing the actual visuals needed. I also appreciate the APP and desktop views. This was extremely helpful, I am so grateful ☺️

Thanks for the help! I was following you until around 20 minutes in, and then I was lost lol! I'm totally lost when you get into all the different ways to invest.
I use Fidelity and Schwab and there is no comparison....Fidelity is much better and quicker....Schwab takes way too long to release or send money.....Hours vs Days.
Instead of transferring a set dollar amount on a certain length of time (ex. Once a month) - can you just manually transfer as needed from bank account to fidelity core account then distribute into existing funds in portfolio?
I am getting ready to open a Fidelity account but I want to put it in my trust. Any idea how to do that? Or maybe that isn't a good idea? Any suggestions appreciated.
Thank you for the information. Why does Fidelity not have a training platform. Each brokers have different ways to trade and keeping up with each one is difficult. Thank you again.
Isn't it better to just transfer money to fidelity rather than to specific stock? That was you can work the order to create it at the lowest price you can get for the day rather than when you actually buy with the transfer directly to a stock?
One question would my husband be able to open an account even tho he’s unemployed and starting college? Thank you for your video hopefully you can answer my question.
Thanks for watching! You would click on Account Activity and then Orders, select the order and then cancel it there if you are able to do so (market orders fill immediately for example)
Can you suggest that if $100 is invested, and weekly the gains ONLY like 2-3 dollars need to be transferred to personal bank account ..how that can be done ? Or as you mentioned consider it long term ..but even after 1 whole year ..should i take out the gains or leave them as they are ?
To maximize your return it is best to reinvest those dividends and remain fully invested over the long haul (this also gets you favorable tax treatment)
hey It's been a week since I've joined fidelity and have some funds and invested in a few stocks but my graph is a straight line? nor can I see my profolio in real time? is there a reason for that?
So I started a Roth IRA this year and contributed a little over $5000. I did not realize I needed to invest that money. Today I invested about $2500 into the Fidelity Index Funds. Is this a good idea? Thank you. Also what should I do with the other money in the account?
Hi, I have some question to you Ryan I want to put my money in fidelity but I don’t know how to I start ? Should I go local fidelity office to get help ? Example if I put just one time 10k how much I can get per years . Can you reply to my question please? Thank you
Definitely could go to a local branch for help! This tutorial shows self directed investing but you could always work with a Fidelity Advisor or use Fidelity Go for a robo advisor too
Have you ever done a video on how to sell and how you get paid? Because there's a million videos on how to start, but not a single video that I can find where it shows you how to sell, of you can do it in parts or if it has to be all of it and all that jazz. Never mind, here we are 28:00
Fidelity chat AI is useless. A simple pass word reset use to take a few minutes, now it takes over a half hour and it till defaults to call fidelity and no one is there😂
Very good information, but I see you cut out the parts that you breathe. When you breathe, it gives my mind time to process the information you just said. As you just keep going, it's just cramming the info. If you don't mind, please breath...thanks.

Do you have a video of opening one account for investing only? You broke it down very nice on this video
I believe mutual funds which you select settles one time a day at end of day trading session. The etf version should be market order.
Thanks for sharing! Yes - the next day it was settled with the NAV from the previous trading day
I use Fidelity and Schwab and there is no comparison....Fidelity is much better and quicker....Schwab takes way too long to release or send money.....Hours vs Days.

Instead of transferring a set dollar amount on a certain length of time (ex. Once a month) - can you just manually transfer as needed from bank account to fidelity core account then distribute into existing funds in portfolio?
Yes
what about the Fidelity® Government Money Market Fund
4.32% 7-day yield1? says you can use it as a checking account?
Thanks for the great information. I am thinking of opening Fidelity investment accounts.
I hope this helped you out with the decision making process!

I can't open an account because i live outside of the US unfortunatly. are there any good alternatives for in the EU?
Thank you for the information. Why does Fidelity not have a training platform. Each brokers have different ways to trade and keeping up with each one is difficult. Thank you again.
It would be great if they added a trading simulator to practice with the app!
Isn't it better to just transfer money to fidelity rather than to specific stock? That was you can work the order to create it at the lowest price you can get for the day rather than when you actually buy with the transfer directly to a stock?
This video was very informative. As a minor i would love to see a video of how to use the fidelity youth platform.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Which one would you go with, Fidelity or Robinhood?
Kinda undecided a little....😅
Both are great for different purposes - so it depends on what you are looking for (you could also use both!)
If you reinvest dividends and cap gains back into Fxaix fund, do you have to pay taxes or do you just pay taxes when you actually make withdrawals?
Yes you still pay taxes on earned dividends even if you reinvest them (unless you are using a retirement account like a Roth IRA)
One question would my husband be able to open an account even tho he’s unemployed and starting college? Thank you for your video hopefully you can answer my question.
Yes, absolutely
Thank you for this video! How do you cancel out of a trade?
Thanks for watching! You would click on Account Activity and then Orders, select the order and then cancel it there if you are able to do so (market orders fill immediately for example)

I want to learn more cause I’m about to start to invest in fidelity company
Is there a fidelity fee to transfer back to your bank account?
Nope! Here is the full info on their fees: www.fidelity.com/why-fidelity/pricing-fees

Ryan, isnt there a cost to use Robinhood (subscription) compared to Fidelity and Schwab?
Nope! They do offer Robinhood Gold for a subscription but that is optional

I have money in my retirement that my employer matches. I tried to buy from there but doesn’t let me. So should I I open an individual account?
Yes your individual brokerage account/IRA is going to be separate from your employer retirement plan
If I have 401k with fidelity and i’m trying to make an account with Fidelity investments. Is it a must that I use the same login?
Probably not, but it might be more convenient!
Have you ever done a video on how to sell and how you get paid?

I have a question for you
What is the question?
IS IT WORLD WIDE?
Fidelity does offer international trading in 20+ countries but it is not worldwide
I hate how the charts work on fidelity. There horrendous.
Do one for Fundrise
Thanks for the suggestion! Great idea
IF only people have 250 thousand dollars laying around
20:05 "it would be a 3 hour video". Do it. Educate us good sir.
feedback - close to 10 minutes of tutorial on how to fill out forms on the internet is a bit much. I skipped to the first investment tutorial
Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it!
The 10 minute tutorial on how to fill out forms are helpful to some.

Does Fidelity offer paper account?
I wish, one thing they are definitely missing is a paper trading simulator
