    Hey danny. I am new to fidelity and stocks in general. Trying to figure out how to use fidelity. I have a roth ira. Also a crypto account but i use a different app for that. Also a couple different individual accounts. I just recently put cash into Fidelity and invested all of it into a stock and it has really went up but it says i only have .01 cent able to invest. Why is that?

    What if the household income is now in the range and in a couple of years is above the maximum income limit for annual contributions? Like now below 250 and in a couple of years above 250 per year?

    Hi Danny, new investor here. New to Fidelity. Currently opened a ROTH IRA and CMA. I started EFT to my ROTH from an external checking account and bought ETF’s and Index funds into my ROTH. Did I even need a CMA? Thanks

      Hey thanks for checking out my content! And great question! You do not need the cash management account. You could only use the Roth account and be completely fine! Hope this helps you out :)

    Do you have to open a new account every time you wanna invest in different stocks ?

    • @DannySully

      Nope! Once you create an account, you can invest however you want within that account with the funds you have.

    Hi Danny,
    Thank you so much for creating such a helpful video for beginners like me. I’m retired now and required to take RMDs every year. Since I don’t need the money right away, is it possible to reinvest the funds into a Fidelity traditional investment account rather than a CD? I typically prefer the S&P 500 fund (FXAIX). Do you think it’s a good idea to continue with that fund through Fidelity?
    Thanks again for your guidance!

    • @DannySully
      @DannySully  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey! Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm glad to hear the video has helped you, it means a lot to me! For the reinvesting of dividends, with mutual funds you can actually adjust them to go toward any mutual fund you prefer. This may be possible for you depending on the investments you're referring too. To learn more about it, I will attach my how to use fidelity tutorial video where the exact time slot I'm referring to is at 12:32 in the video under my "portfolio managing" section.

      Thank you for mentioning this! I should have brought it up the video, my apologies. Doing this through the mobile app is a bit more difficult than the desktop platform. It is still possible though. To see how to do it through the desktop platform check out this video and skip to 12:26.

    Great content Danny. I really wanna understand in detail how “Compound” works, also if Fidelity shows exactly how the money grows (daily).
    Thanks man

    • @DannySully
      @DannySully  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Hey! Thank you so much! And are you referring to compound interest when i say "let your money compound over time"?
      And to see updates on the portfolio daily, go to the investing tab and select your specific account and then details. If you scroll down you can see data for your entire account such as daily gain/loss.
      Another option for overall performance over different time periods would be from the home tab click your account in the middle of the page and then scroll down and you'll see a performance tab that shows you everything you may want to see with the overall portfolio. Hope this helps :) Thanks again for watching my content! It means a lot!

      @@DannySully Hey Danny, thanks for your reply. I'll try be even more specific on my question. I started my Roth IRA this year and already funded $7000. right now I have $7.266.42. ($156.40 in Total gains) + ($32.83 in dividends). so 7000 + 156.40 + 32.83 = 7,189.23. Now I know $77.19 is just in compound. Is there a place on fidelity that I can see this compound number?
      Thanks again

      I used to use them more and have been avoiding it now. The only thing I would say is a solid option to learn more about and I plan to one day make a video on it is covered calls. You can earn additional income through using them on your investments if you decide too.

    The reality is, if you want to make any decent money investing, you have to invest at least one million dollars USD. It's going to take some years before you get that money back.

    Danny is there any specific reason why i wouldnt be able to withdrawal money frm my individual account? I opened one after my roth ira. And noticed i couldnt transfer the money back to my bank if i wanted to. I dont want to i just wonder how i can access my cash in the future.

    • @DannySully
      @DannySully  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey great question! Did you recently sell an investment? If so, it typically takes a couple days for the funds to officially settle to then withdrawal.
