- Finally picked up the channels first glock and why not get the newest addition. The glock 45 9mm let’s look at all the goodies you get brand new along with an overview and first impressions of the gun. Also a field strip of the gun.

For the most part you made a very helpful video for new glock owners. The only thing I saw that you got wrong was the mag size. If you look at the back of the mags you'll see that they hold 17 rounds and not just 16, so the overall compacity of the pistol is 17 rounds in the mag plus 1 chambered. Other than that very nicely done video. I look forward to watching more of your channel.
It's not a 19x and 17 hybrid. A 19x is a 19 slide with a 17 grip. The 45 is the 19x with a flared magwell. Front slide serrations and black. Also as far as I can find the 45 has the option for stock night sights. It's also 17 rounds not 16. 🙈

Nice, I didnt know I had a cleaning rod but I found it. I didnt know those were handle grip extensions. Like I said this is my first Glock and I havent read the instructions yet. Now let me find your next video about it. Thank you again.

Very good video outside of some mistakes such as number of rounds. I would suggest in the future that you do not flag yourself so much during the video. Gun safety should always be reinforced especially with so many new people out there exercising their 2nd amendment rights. Keep up the good work. Good luck and be safe out there!
16+1 capacity. I don't know what you have because mine are 17 rnd mags
The barrel as you mentioned is not a standard barrel it’s the new glock rifled marksman barrel
Positive Reactions in all honesty i can’t tell the difference. I can shoot the gen 5 19 and the Glock 45 exactly the same

Notes:
- Guide rod: Many manufacturers, to include S&W, use polymer guide rods. Glock started using dual captured guide rod and springs since the Glock 26 was introduced and became standard for Glocks with Gen 4s.
- Glock 45 is a mix of G19 and G17 (slide length of G19 with grip length of G17), G19x came first via a similar concept and it is based off their MHS submission to the Army.
- Not all Gen5s have front serrations, only the 45 along with the 19, 17, and 34 Gen 5 MOS models (and the limited summer Gen 4 runs) This could change moving forward with the new Glocks presumed to be announced in 5 days
- The infamous U shaped sights have been the same since the first Glock 17 came to market. They now offer three dot night sights and Ameriglo Bold night sights from factory for a bit of extra cash.

Can you use the 19x mags in the model 45
I will have to double check on that. As far as I know they are compatible due to being double stack 9mm mags.
They are compatible.
It's a mix between 19 & 17 not 19x & 17 and they're 17 round mags not 16.
It's a Hybrid between Glock 17 and Glock 19, not 19X.

This is better than the glock 19x because the g19x will not feed gen 5 glock 17 mags, unless you cut the lip off of the bottom of the g19x grip/frame
And how would i go about doing that? The Gen 5 restrictions is lthe only thing thats stopping me from buying a 19x

Have you noticed any of these problems with the 45?
-frame flexing/bending
- Sticky/heavy trigger
- Trigger bar rubbing against frame and slide stop
- Slide stop/frame protruding when firing and dry firing.
I’m on the fence between the 45 and a Gen 4 19 I’m leaning towards the 45 but reliability issues will cause me to lose interest
CptnXClp2 I haven’t had any problems with mine, I’ve carried it for a while now. Go to the range and run it no hiccups. I would say if you get one only run brass case ammo. I ran aluminum case once and it did jam, ran brass and works like a dream.
I purchased my Glock 45 about 2 months ago. My build is for home defense so reliability was also my highest priority. I've put about 1500 rds through it. No issues

As far as I know you should be able to since it’s a double stack 9mm.

Yeah I rushed into this video when I did the unboxing and first look. Made some minor mistakes. But if you see the next range video of testing I corrected myself and did live fire review.
