    Does this all apply if you are purchasing a property? ( monthly amount required e-prem)

    • @youtoospain
      @youtoospain  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Can you be more specific please?
      Monthly IPREM is €600 in 2023 so that amount always applies. If you're in the process of buying a property you'll still have savings in the bank, so that will count as part of your financial requirement. What happens on renewal at the end of year 1 if you've bought a property is they'll take it into account. By how much isn't specified, it seems to be at the discretion of the officials but a good residency specialist like Chris would be able to argue the point at the appointment.

    Hola Skatz. I've tried a couple of times to subscribe to the monthly email newsletter, but without success. The emails aren't ending up in my junk folder in error either. Is there something I'm missing in the subscription process or is it just a case of providing my email address as I'm doing? Thanks Simon

      Hi Simon, sorry to hear that, I’m not sure why it’s not working, send me an email to info@YouTooSpain with your name and I’ll subscribe you.

    Will you both be at the NEC Birmingham in September? Can we book a slot if you are?

      I won’t be. I don’t know about Chris. I think he would have mentioned it by now.

    Do people who move to Britain still rely on the country they left for an income?
    I've always wondered about that!

    • @youtoospain
      @youtoospain  ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends!
      If it’s a wealthy country or they’ve made enough money they might have investments and capital there.

    Hi there , just been watching the show from yesterday, we thought we had it worked out and in 4 years we should have saved enough for the eprem.
    However 2 things got mentioned in the show . Not being the brightest star in the sky i need to ask . 1st . If the wife has a pension pot of £85000 this would count as savings towards the Eprem.2nd Maf asked if we own a villa in Spain this also counts as savings. We have bought and paid for a villa approx value €140000 Murcia region. Sorry if you have to repeat yourself as I say.... I'm alittle on the thick side and sometimes need it hammered home.
    Glenn

      Hi Glenn, 1/ yes if the pension pot is accessible it counts as savings. It’s worth checking the best way to deal with the pension pot, you could get taxed on it in Spain if you draw it down. Timing is crucial. My guest next Saturday is the one to ask about that. 2/ your property can usually be taken into account on residency renewals, I can’t remember what Chris said about it on the initial application but you wouldn’t need it with the £85k.

      @@youtoospain thanks very much skatz, it takes alot of stress out of the residency app. We thought of going the Irish route but it turns out that it's her great great grandparents that came to the UK not her grandparents. Lol

    2 questions I have please.
    1. I am considering Valencia, Benidorm, and Las Palmas. Is one place easier to get a long-term apartment versus another place? I know from watching these videos that in Valencia you might be competing with students, for example.
    2. I had heard on another site that you could work after the first year of your nlv. Is that true? If not, can you work after the five years of being on the nlv?
    Thank you.

    • @youtoospain
      @youtoospain  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1/ I have no experience of those places so I hope someone else can help you. There are Facebook groups for them so you could ask in each area. I found the best way to find a place is to be there and ask the local estate agents so if you’re comparing places you’ll need to visit them all. Choose the one that feels best for you.
      2/ If you find a job after your first year on the NLV you can switch to a working visa. You can also apply for a self employment visa. Neither are easy. After you’ve been on the NLV for five years yes you can become a permanent resident and you’re allowed to work.

    you guys do not mention DIGITAL NOMAD VISAS ?? so may be the residents applicants are young professionals and less RETIREES ??

    • @youtoospain
      @youtoospain  ปีที่แล้ว

      Compared to retirees on the NLV, the numbers of people moving here on the DNV are quite low, and they’ve only recently started applications so those numbers aren’t included in the statistics yet.

    • @zorrozorro9681
      @zorrozorro9681 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@youtoospain statics are based on probability, but can not be possible that now that conditions are harder, the numbers are exactly the same ??

    • @youtoospain
      @youtoospain  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zorrozorro9681 These statistics we’re talking about are official figures, not probabilities. And my point stands, in this case we need to wait for official figures to come out before coming to any conclusions about how many people have come to Spain on the Digital Nomad Visa.
      Oh and do try to make your sentences make sense please.
