    Hi, excellent information 👌.
    How I can move to work and live in Spain from Canada?
    It's us family of four.
    What would be our options as Canadian citizens?
    Thanks

    Exactly which docs need legalising/notarising/translating for an NLV

    • @youtoospain
      @youtoospain  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s all of the stuff that’s in English that need translating apart from bank statements really, so ACRO, medical certificate, birth/marriage certificates, proof of income, proof of insurance.
      If you use this link you can ask:

      @@youtoospain Thanks for getting back to me. I've just had so much conflicting evidence. By proof of income other than bank statements do you mean letter from a pension provider? I can understand that this would need translating and legalising, am I correct on this.

      @@tonycollins8375 yes, that kind of thing, or proof of investments or dividends.

    I am self employed in the UK and meet the criteria for applying for NLV. From what we know about how the nomad visa so far, would it be better wait for that to happen rather than applying for the NLV now? It would be useful if you could point out advantages and disadvantages of each other?

    • @youtoospain
      @youtoospain  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes that would be useful. As usual, a lot depends on individual circumstances, and as we don’t yet know enough about the DNV or have any experience of what it entails, it’s very difficult to gauge

    My wife and are planning to apply for our NLV on 1st of June 2022 , how soon should we contact the Edinburgh Consulate for an appointment?

    • @youtoospain
      @youtoospain  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would apply 3-4 weeks in advance.

    What month of the year is likely to be less busy at Spanish consulates in the UK to apply for the NLV?

    • @youtoospain
      @youtoospain  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If you avoid August and Christmas then you’ll generally be fine. They have a fixed number of appointments per day so it’s never too busy at the consulate in terms of people going to get their visas. But if you mean which months aren’t they so clogged up with applications for other visas that NLV’s are taking ages to process, then especially avoid the summer when all the student visa applications happen.

    • @youtoospain
      @youtoospain  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@simonpeter9617 i don’t think the rejection rate is high for Non Lucrative Visas. It is high for self employment visas, but that’s only to be expected, most people who apply just haven’t planned enough or don’t have the right qualifications. Small businesses aren’t easy to succeed at, so they’re very strict in giving out visas for them.

    A good habit for Chris to remember when speaking to a microphone. Please turn your head as you cough. It is just annoying to keep hearing you coughing out loud every few seconds.

      I’ll mention it to him. I think it’s the air con that makes the air dry in his office. That kind of thing makes me cough too.
