  • I've pushed these budget-friendly tires through hell over the last 12,000 miles or so, and today is the day to provide you with a thorough review.
    Are they good as a daily tire?
    Do they stand up to all types of weather condition?
    How well do they wear after enduring significant abuse?
    Are they actually a decent performance tire?
    Watch to find out!

    I'm trading my pirelli's on my 2020 Mustang GT for these tires to try out. The pirellis are a little more than 200 dollars a piece. It just makes sense to buy cheaper tires when you're going to burn them off. If you do spirited driving like me pretty much everywhere you go if these tires are half as good or better than the pirellis which I've seen there more than half as good as the barleys and they're going to be definitely worth it. Cuz you ain't got to worry about burning the tires off as much. Keeps your wallet a little bit more full. And it let you have a little bit more fun.

      Depends on how you look at it. If you want tires that last longer, yes. If you want tires that get more grip, then no. Tires that last 3 years will not be better in terms of performance. Ultra High Performance tires will not last more than 12-15,000 miles. They are too soft.

    • @SpeedCultureStudios
      @SpeedCultureStudios  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hard to say. Depends on the offset. 275 is too wide for the front, I would say. I almost rub with a 255. With the right offset the wheel and tire will fit in the rear

    320 treadwear with a W speed rating?? Any decent "high performance" tire has a tread rating of 200 or less and a speed rating of Z. Also you smoked those tires for WAY longer than you should have been able to in those straight line burn outs. Not sure what all you have done to that Infiniti, but unless you've dumped more than the car is worth into it (and then some), it shouldn't have enough power to roast the tires for that long, unless (as the treadwear indicates), they have garbage straight line traction. Was really hoping these tires were better than my initial suspicion as they are one of the few tires that come in a size I need (345/25/20) but based on what you've shown in your video, they're nowhere close to having the traction I need. They're not even directional!

    • @SpeedCultureStudios
      @SpeedCultureStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are a TON of solid performance tires with treadwear ratings over 300. A 200 is not even a practical street tire. The Michelin ps4s-arguably the best performance tire available is a 300 treadwear. A Z rating is good for over 149mph. A W rating is good for 168. Most people aren’t even touching 149 regularly, so I wouldn’t worry so much about the speed ratings. Discount tire has a good chart for these things if you’re interested. The car makes 340 wheel and just shy of 300ft lbs tq-that’s plenty of power to smoke any tire. But the car has an open diff so that plays a huge part in the traction issues. But I’ve said it a number of times-and pretty sure I said it in this video-these are not good straight line tires at all. They were surprisingly decent in lateral grip but not good if dig racing. They do have a lot of size options, but if you’re really looking for performance, they leave a bit to be desired.
      Many tires are not “directional” these days. They just have an “inside” “outside,” which is what these are.

      @ryanfuller7108 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think they do from your video it's called a side wall shoulder, it's when the rim sits inward a little bit instead of a traditional tire where the rim pokes out from tire
