I knew that Ippon Seio Nage was great at using most of the body to generate force but I never really put two and two together and saw it as a compound movement. Thanks for this knowledge
Robert, Thanks so much for posting this. I can see it helping me with my throwing footwork, stepping in and under the bag before catching it on my shoulder. I won't be using as heavy a sandbag as you, however I will be working this drill in addition to rubber band drills for moro te seoi nage! Thanks again!

That looks like a pretty good footwork drill too. It's got all of the elements of a throw. The grip, the explosive hoist, the step in and turn, and the slam. Kumi kata, kuzushi, tsukuri, kake. Nice! 👍😊

I was thinking about a 15 Kg sandbag for my 5 yr old. So lay him below it and he needs to push it off. So i found this which is still just out of his league I guess...
Sandbag training is underrated in (functional) strength. You can develop whole body strength with just sandbags.
Its resly very good for grappling like freestyle wrestling, judo, or bjj
I love these old videos with no many much views but absolute golden advice, feel like a treat
Thank you
YES. Like that 2007 youtube vibe... miss those times .
brings you back to a time.

You can use any amount of weight. Really just depends on your goals. Do you want to improve power or conditioning?
