    This looks SO amazing! I'm in love with the use of garlic and yogurt in Turkish food. So simple and tastes amazing.
    Since you always help us with language tips, what you're calling "edginess" in the garlic, we would call "bite." When something has a bite or loses its bite, we're referring to bitterness, spiciness, or some sort of very strong flavor, but especially spiciness.

    Out of all the çilbir videos I’ve watched, Refika, yours is the best! I love that you toast the bread and lay it down first, then add the garlic yogurt and the eggs, and finally drizzle over everything what looks to be a whole lot more than one tablespoon of foaming pepper butter lol! All I need is a big spoon and I’m ready to eat. It’s so gorgeous!

    God Bless Refika from U.S Arizona! My daughter and I watch you always and love your bubbly personality and your love for teaching about food. Your pronunciation for the "v" sound is to adorable and I love it!
    Now question: Do you have recipes with 5 ingredients or less? The U.S. is a very fast pace and cooking this amazing recipes can be time consuming when you don't have all the ingredients at hand.
    Watching you I can tell we could be best friends, we are bubbly as you!

    • @ulqulqu
      @ulqulqu 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Actually our one pot vegetable dishes could be considered as 5 ingredient dishes, because you have meat (or not-if you are vegan) onions, tomatoes, a vegetable (green beans, peas, zucchini, ocra, eggplant) and pepper paste, and there you have a home cooked meal. Refica has a video for that too th-cam.com/video/nTQE-z_YAu8/w-d-xo.html
      We cook like this quite often in Turkey, like three times a week. You can leave out the meat, use olive oil and there you have a mezze like dish that you can even eat cold

    I found these really neat silicone egg cups in a nearby store. You lightly oil the mold, crack the egg, place the silicone into a shallow pan of boiled water and cover. Within minutes, you have perfect eggs without the mess or need for vinegar.

    Yummy! Even though I'm Turkish, I had no idea how to make Çılbır. I've tried it and it's fantastic. Thanks a lot.

    I just made this and I cannot believe how delicious it is!! I'd have never guessed that this weird combo would work so well😅 Thanks Refika!!! For the bread, I tried 'Mangalore Buns', which I had left over-they're buns made of bananas and are from my native place. All the taste from the different ingredients just blended fabulously!! Thank you again for sharing this recipe😃

    This is one of the best egg dishes in the world. One of the best breakfast dishes in the world. I have been in love with it ever since the first time I tried it. You're right, it did sound like a weird combination the first time I was told about it. Eggs and yoghurt? But then I tried it and it was so good.

    Awesome !
    Pls keep in your mind the yogurt should be natural or let say (salty) 😃
    I am telling this just because in Europe when anybody says “yogurt” people thought a sweet.
    However the original and dominantly in Turkey we consume a natural yogurt. Not sweet at all.

    I made this for lunch. My 1st attempt. I didn't have an appropriate bread, so just used store bought sliced bread. Omg... its so delicious! I can eat this everyday. Its very filling too.
