Trans used? I didnt think about this swap until i seen someone swap an s55 into an m3 but ive been wanting a supra and found out they used a b58. I have the e36 m3 now just to swap the b58😓😓💀

i have an e90 328, i wanna do later on a b58 swap on it, I wanna keep the e90 cuz it is like the last mechanical bmw ever made (before electric power steering and such), how was the wiring on the car??
wiring was easy, since we are using scs delta solution. but it is track car, it doesn't have a/c abs etc. it might be tricky to swap in street car, and keep everything functional

@@mateymonkiller1000 they probably use the original electric throttle body that's there in case of a failure of the valvetronic system

It's competition drift car so A/C not required. But it's possible
Are you running stand alone. How on earth did you get it to talk to the e36 dash harness? Sick build by the way.
scs delta ecu. rev signal is just simple pwm signal that is supported by any standalone.
How was the install? Got a friend trying to convince me to swap in a B58 rather than 2JZ GTE VVTI
b58 is way cheaper and even cheaper to tune.
also downpipe and tune ur already looking at 450+ hp
b58 is pefect engine for swap. the only downside is it is not swappable with stock ecu. but there is SCS delta solution

how much did that cost? wondering when my n55 gives out if it would even be worth considering swapping in a B58
complete engine around 4-5k$, ecu + wiring 2.5k , gearbox 500. also mounts, clutch, driveshaft, etc.
Maybe they chase after block design (n55 opendeck vs b58 closed deck and sibiling to b57)

oil pan, subframe without adjustments. did minor firewall hammering for vanos. b58 oil/water heat exchanger doesnt fit.

You'd have been far off to have used a modified M54 engine. Much less complicated, expensive and far more reliable.
Sorry, but you are wrong. comparing b58, best modern reliable bmw turbo engine 450 hp stock. 600 reliable hp just with hybrid turbo + hpfp. and turboed 230 hp NA aluminum engine.

@@ostapdemkiv4332 даже на украинской мове можно сделать гайд. Ибо этот мотор один из интересных вариантов свапа в E36, т.к джейзеты в цене растут а американские лски стоят все также дорого. Сам задумывался о свапе своего маркача гх81 на этот мотор, ибо он вроде как дешевле чем первый джей гте со всем навесным)

@@JamesBalazs Besides not all E36s are that reliable anyways. Probably improved reliability with the swap if it had a m52 euro engine in previously. My 328 sport has been a nightmare and on its 2nd engine after consistent overheating issues even with consistent servicing, makes me miss my old 325.
@@BurnGT13 you need 325tds radiator and expension tank, all silicon hoses, double eletric fan on a switch and racing thermostat or drill a hole in it then you can drift all day long
