Nope. Denali had zero traction. Needs some actual tires. Could barely get itself moving. The key to the kinetic ENERGY ropes, is to actually have some ENERGY to yank em !!!! They need to stick to mall and dealership parking lots.
You’d have had and easier time pulling it out with my Denali. Not all Denalis are built the same. Yours is a Mall wagon and Mine is a 2500 4X4 Duramax. Denali is a trim package.

No rag when you're checking the oil dipstick in a semi-jungle? That's what a couple of nice big leaves are for...why get your fingers and/or shirt or pants oily? ;)
The Denali is a nice street truck but lacks low range and is full time AWD. Not ideal for yanking an old Burb out of the woods. That Burb looks like a 82-88 given the double stack front headlights and grill. Had an ‘K5 Blazer with the same front end. Good truck. Sounds like something was caught up in the fan/belts.
From expierence... i wouldve never started it up until i changed the oil and oil pump. Of course there is a tap all the oil sludge was in the bottom. Thats why the oil on the stick looked good. First thing, wrong rims and tires on the Denali for hauling anything out of anywhere, second thing, while the piece of shit was running it sounds like the starter was still engaged and grinding the flywheel to shit. Or the fan was hitting the shroud, but whatever that noise was, it's not a good noise.
Consider getting tires better suited for pulling vehicles out of ruts. You risk damaging the transmission on your Denali pulling things out that way. Still, I subscribe, cause it's fun to watch......
