We're a rare breed. In my 53 years, I've only met two other stutterers face-to-face. The first was in an elementary school speech therapy class; his name was Aaron, and he blocked on vowels (whereas I block on consonants). We started sitting together at lunch, where a simple conversation might take a week or more. We joked that we should trade stutters so we'd both be able to say our names. When the internet (especially YT) came along, I was finally able to connect with more people like myself. I never knew how important such relationships (even virtual ones) could be until I found this little community. 🙂
Hi!! The NSA (national stuttering association) it’s a great option to find other people who stutter!! It gives so much support!! Actually it’s doing zoom meetings where you can talk and interact with other pws, if you have questions let me know!
I’ve actually seen it a few times. I’ve heard that some people speak fluently when they can’t hear themselves speak but unfortunately that doesn’t work for me :(
Have you considered joining a self help group in the area where you live? If there is not one maybe considering starting a new group. Is your stutter better or worse when you read aloud from a book/page of text? Bye now. Take care
Honestly with school and extracurriculars I don’t have much extra time and I feel like I would become more anxious with new people but I have made a video about reading from a book!

I have a friend here,,,but he's too confident like way too confident....and doesn't let his speech become any sort of obstacle in his life.

Have you watched the King speech. What he does he listens to music with a pair of earphones/headphone and he stats taking so clearly it really helps
