    Hello, can you help with a problem? after the dentist take the impressions and the bite registration, the arches have big interference with each other and affects the final result of the crown. What do you think its the problem when interference occurs between arches? And they are pretty big , sometimes 0,7-0.8 mm

    • @InstituteofDigitalDentistry
      @InstituteofDigitalDentistry  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is because of the dentist not checking the bite scan and sending it to the lab without inspection.
      The bite scan needs to be confirmed to be accurate and if there is interference, needs to be redone. Ideally take 2 bite scans - one on each side.
      Hope that helps :)

    Hello.
    Can you tell me if you are using the power hub or you are connectin the scanner directly to the usb-c port using the power cord?
    I just bought the i700 but I can only connect it with the power hub,the usb-c connection is not working,the scanner is disconected when i try to calibrate it or scan.Thank you

      Direct to USB C.
      I would check your laptop as it sounds like not enough power is coming through to the scanner USB C alone.
      I would avoid using the hub at all costs. Direct USB-C is much better

    Is it really necessary to touch the space on the keyboard or can you just go on by pushing the joystick button in that cases seen here?

    Is there a setting for ortho scans? As opposed to crowns/bridges and other such dental scans.

      In the patient form, you can choose the indication for your scan. This includes ortho, crown, and bridge and a range of different indications.

      Wiped down between patients. Indeed an issue with laptop scanners. It's either that or a mountain of plastic wrap waste.

    Why did you have to take four different bite scans? And I noticed on the last bite scan, you seemed to have scanned a larger segment of the bite, is there any clinical significance of why you need to do this? TIA, great video

    • @InstituteofDigitalDentistry
      @InstituteofDigitalDentistry  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. The four different bite scans, in this case, are just to show its possible to take multiple bite scans using Medit. You only need one or two or most cases.
      Scanning a larger segment of the bite can make the bite registration more accurate but is not vital. Once the models align, you can stop and just that the bite registration is correct.

      Just centric in this case. But you can easily add more bite scans.

      @Mistyc Mc ana we are referring to centric occlusion or maximum intercuspation. Not centric relation. Don’t confuse the two.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the great videos. I would like to understand your opinion on the Medit i700 scanner vs the Trios 3 wireless scanner. Since you have been able to use both, which one would you prefer in terms of the speed and software interface? Thanks again.

    • @InstituteofDigitalDentistry
      @InstituteofDigitalDentistry  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Both are excellent scanners. Medit i700 has the advantage of having more software apps in the scanner software itself. TRIOS 3 has the advantage of being integrated with the TRIOS CAD workflow. Both have subscription-free options. Both scan fast. It really just comes down to what you want to do in the future. For example, if you want to use the 3Shape CAD library it makes sense to go TRIOS. If not, Medit is a very effective scanner too. The market is getting competitive :)!

      Yes, all Medit scanners are completely open. For instance, you can export STL files and use these files with 3Shape Software.

      Best is a controversial topic. We agree, we love our Primescan. But for many emerging markets and people on a budget, it is not the 'best'.
