Video makes it look so perfect. I've waited to make any comments but have been working with this unit for over six months and it has had SEVERAL issues and Straumann/Dental Wings chalk it all up to scanning technique error. We Demo'd a unit before buying and was able to achieve a pretty decent scan as a complete novice but after attempting well over 100 scans we've only been able to use maybe 20 for actual lab fabrication. Have made over 17 phone calls for tech support for literally nothing to change. With a full warranty of one year, I think we have given it enough time for them to work out any kinks. I have even requested another training session so that someone within Straumann can see how the system is working and hopefully determine than scanning technique is a cop out response.
Sorry to hear you had bad experiences. Not sure what to say. We are not trying to make it look 'so perfect' this is a screen capture from my screen while scanning. If you are having issues, I would bring it up with Straumann to sort it out. It definitely should work. Good luck!

I did bring the issues I've had up to Straumann (107 times). 100% support Straumann with my responses, my issues all stem from the Dental Wings side of things, i.e.. software. Straumann stood behind my purchase and credited me back my Vivo investment toward a different scanner that has been so much better

The service and interface of that scanner is very bad
I expect big changes since the purchase of Alliedstar
