These types of movies will probably continue to get released due to them making just enough money. And like it was alluded to in this video, it seems like they’re playing the long game. The longer these works are out there, the more familiar they will become and perhaps more acceptable as well
Ms Marvel has so much potential, the actress is so funny and adorable and there are so many great moments in the show. Then it gets all muddled up in the need to create a multiverse and deeper meaning. And America Chavez is so cool in the comics but they gotta work her into the main plot for no particular reason, like just give her her own thing you know?
It's ironic that Brie complained so much about women of color not getting lead roles in action films, and then she turns around and steals the lead role from Monica Rambeau who is canonically the first Captain Marvel in comics, rewrites Monica's canonical story by killing her father and making her mother a widow, and then replacing her father as Monica's role model. The whole reason Monica became Ms. Marvel in the first place is because she was inspired by her FATHER who was a firefighter, and Marvel originally wrote her lore that way as representation for nuclear black families in an era when society was heavily pushing the absent black father myth. Captain white lady just had to come in and jam her size 8 heel where it didn't belong, all while complaining about "patriarchy" and "cis men". The irony!
I've made this comment elsewhere, before: but I think that Larson's "Does anyone want me to do it again?" was aimed at the producers who'd downgraded her, rather than the audience.
I lowkey feel bad for Brie Larson. There was a point in my life when I was just as stupid, hypersensitive, and cringe. It took a bit of soul-searching and advice from internet strangers to realize I was being an annoying prick. Since then I have changed a bit. I hope Brie goes to therapy or makes real friends who help her see the flaws in her.
@Jayanth Kumar It takes a lot of courage to admit when you’re wrong and want to change. So props. Brie; I don’t hate her but man she does need help. I remember when she used to look so much happier like in 21 Jump Street or Scott Pilgrim. But by King Skull Island she started to look detached and miserable.
@Jayanth Kumar I kinda feel bad for Brie Larson, too. She was raised in Hollywood as a child actor and home schooled by two really stupid hippie parents. She never really stood a chance to become a person of true character or integrity. She's absolutely dripping with more insecurity and false confidence than Andrew Tate and probably hates herself more than your typical first-world upper-class feminist. No one is this miserable at the world while being happy with their lives.

The script and editing of other clips into this is really well done. Just found this channel and have enjoyed a lot of your takes on these movies and the overall situation we are in with cinema. I laughed a ton at this and your Little Mermaid video. Great stuff! Your Guardiians takes were excellent too - did a good job summarizing my thoughts on the movie too. I walked out not nearly as blown away as everyone seemed to be but still thinking it was a lot better than what I'd seen lately, and your breakdown of the parts and the issues with them was great. I really wish Quill and Rocket's relationship was more deeply explored and I think the Warlock stuff was poorly done (though it is reassuring that Gunn himself didn't really want it there).
Also F Feige for crapping on Strange. Stephen wouldn’t have allowed the events of Wanda Vision to happen period. In the comics he would have mentored Wanda and tired to help. Or if Wanda went insane try to stop her. But he was sacrificed because of the message.
Just so you know for next time, "disinterested" means "not having a vested interest" as in "no horse in the race" whereas "uninterested" means "not being interested in something". I enjoyed your presentation and you speak well.
I think that we need not worry so much about the next generation being indoctrinated with bad movies, because parents will show them the things they like. That’s how most of us get introduced to movies in the first place. Many of us like the original Star Wars, James Bond, Indiana Jones, etc even though they came before our time because our parents liked them.
I think most people trolling on the films are the new gen kiddos. Marvel has thrown hella projects at us in the last few years, and it can get overwhelming. But the movies are still good. Some people just can’t handle a long commitment. Its been going on for 15 years now, not everyone is gonna stick around and love everything that gets released at marvel. 🤷🏽♂️
Now that I know Dr. Strange was kept out of WandaVision it passes me off more. If you couldn't have the white Sorcerer Supreme help, then why not the Asian one?. Wanda was having a mental breakdown. And as someone with a lifelong mental illnesses, I can't forgive Marvel for playing off mental illnesses as the same as being phycotic. That and how the Sorcerers Supremes both ignored this issue till she was so far into the darkness that dark magic made intervention impossible is all thier fault. Movies and TV shows are still using the mentally ill as thier villians, which just reinforces the stereotype that we are dangerous. This more then bad off screen behavior, is causing me to no longer have anything to do with the MCU. More people should speak on this.
I'm so happy you pointed out the unfair sidelining in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. We the fans waited six years for a sequel, only for Wanda to steal all of the best scenes, even though she already had her own series and a perfect character arc already.
I didn’t hate the trailer that much but yeah it doesn’t look good. Maybe it’s because of numb to the bad MCU, but I don’t see this doing too well. Especially when the plot of this movie is just ripping off the sub plot of rise of the silver surfer with the four swapping powers.
The Wandavision Plan is really good. I will kidnap someone, hold them in my Basement for a few Weeks and when I finally release them, I will be a True Hero. Finally.

There’s a ton of videos that saying The Marvels movie flopped because of men? Like depending on men’s support to make sure things are successful? Do we need men or not?
@free_at_last I don't really believe in good and evil, but if evil _is_ real, then Hollywood would literally be the most evil place on Earth; enough to make the deepest parts of the Middle East look like suburban Ohio.
Even if Gardians of the gallaxy proves to be a genuinely good film and is a satisfying send up for the characters and James guns roll in the MCU myself and most people who aren't MCU Stan's and or Simps are seeing the Marvel's 😅
I own Dr Strange (0ne). Love Tilde Swinton in it. The Director's Commentary is great. The Dainish Villain is perfect, really see people Enjoying the movie they're making. Couldn't pay me to see the Cucked #2.
I dont mind certain movies not being for me, that is perfectly fine. But I rather decide myself which movies are for me and which are not. And if I have some gripes with a movie after Ive seen it or it bombed, telling me that the movie was not made for me therefore I have gripes with is just another way to shield oneself from criticism. Its fine to have movies that are targeted at a different age and gender than mine. Its just questionable to burn all bridges for the rest of the possible audience by design and then point at the people on the other side: "This is your fault."
Marvel is done. They already destroyed their comics. Now MCU movies are done, as Marvel Studios, as a Disney brand, is destroying it's brand in record time. The drop from Avengers: Endgame to the third Ant-Man movie is astronomical. Marvels, starring Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, with 2 other second tier Marvel characters, will be a monumental flop. I have a big problem trying to justify myself buying a movie ticket, let alone tickets for the whole family and my sons, who used to love the MCU, aren't really interested either. It wasn't made for us, obviously.
It’s golden time for DCU to catch up as I don’t see MCU getting back on track anytime soon with movies like Marvels. I am not paying to watch this booring movie
I think that this is going to be every bit as successful as the all-woman Ghost Busters. Yea, that's the ticket. Maybe they can do an all-woman "Dirty Dozen" gritty World War 2 film where they take down a couple of Nazi regiments and maybe a Panzer Division. Yea, that's the ticket.
It needs to race swap the Imperial Japanese army into being white and Chinese people into being black so they can make a commentary about rape culture.

These types of movies will probably continue to get released due to them making just enough money. And like it was alluded to in this video, it seems like they’re playing the long game. The longer these works are out there, the more familiar they will become and perhaps more acceptable as well
ascribing any form of thought to Disney Marvel is insane. They are just flopping wildly
I figured that I had to try
Ms Marvel has so much potential, the actress is so funny and adorable and there are so many great moments in the show. Then it gets all muddled up in the need to create a multiverse and deeper meaning. And America Chavez is so cool in the comics but they gotta work her into the main plot for no particular reason, like just give her her own thing you know?
Just like The Human Centipede, eventually, you'll have to admit that there no more nutritional value further you go down the line.
And? she is still trash.
@@Avarn388 I loved her in 21 Jump Street and Kong Skull Island was a pretty good movie
She's a bitch, I don't feel sorry for her. She's also rich.
She was a total prick on set, she deserves the backlash
@Jayanth Kumar
I kinda feel bad for Brie Larson, too.
They should go full on feminist, and make it clear this isn't for guys. Go hard and commit to it.
Excellent Video, i'm sure when this movie eventually flops males will be blamed so... yea not a very good time to enjoy movies I guess. By the way, it was pretty cool to see you hanging out with awesome people like the Drinker, Az and Mauler!
It would be the time to answer that "sorry, this movie wasn't made for me, Brie told me" ;p
I saw that clip from Open Bar! It was so cool to see you with the Critical Drinker. I really appreciate the two of you and everyone else giving honest, fair reviews of these movies
Honestly if anyone finds these female leads as someone they can identify with they are in serious trouble.
A Karen, an annoying teenager and someone who thinks it's ok to not having to face consequences for their evil actions.
There are many people like them actually.
@@SuperCecileC Yes but they're in trouble, because it means they're set to live completely hollow and unfulfilling lives.
Kamala is cool though.
@@junioresnc said no one ever
@@SuperCecileCJust the woman.
It looks like a good movie
To criticize to oblivion and make fun of!
Bro I think in the future they wont be able to make movies anymore unless it’s all about diversity;wokeness;soyness and fighting the patriarchy but at that point no one would even go to theaters anymore
0:24 What the fuck is Kitty from That 70s Show doing there? She's supposed to be making dinner for Red lol
I definitely had goose bumps - like Feige said, this is as impactful as seeing the real Avengers assemble for the first time!
😂😂😂
You serious ?
@@SuperCecileC Ummm, I thought saying “real Avengers” would make it clear, but yeah - in the 2020’s, you never know. After all, Feige at least pretended to mean it…
@@alexfriedman918
Feige's wishes, doesn't mean it will be reality, the guy already said that the last movies would be great...quite the opposite.
Get a life bro I agree but you've commented on this video so many times ya clown
lmao I don't remember Don saying/doing that in that interview. This is an immediate insight into her personality. If anyone ever tells you you hate women just look at Don Cheadle's reaction. Everyone loves that guy. I can't imagine how she is when the camera's are off. She's already kind of obnoxious through the lens but now we see that's her default
I love the part where Monica says: “Just pass the Bud Light”!
Imagine if somehow She-Hulk makes it into the movie. People (who decided to give the movie a chance) will walk out of theaters 😂
Actually, I would be awaken by the theater employees that were cleaning after the movie ended.
Not gonna lie, when Thanos punched her into orbit, I kinda warmed to the guy. He can't be that bad.
Funny , i dont remenber Chris Evans Cryin because he was not the focus on Captain America Civil War
Everything you point out is why I was surprised they left the coc bear as a black bear rather than making it a polar bear.
It's a 'black bear'.... why would they change it loool they already got the color they want
would you pronounce your last name as “Moe” or “Mox”
@@spzm3x Like put up your dukes but with a M instead of D.
Don Cheadle’s “don’t touch me” is such an uncomfortable moment
Like holy shit
Why is the lead character a part cat? The cat is the strongest one and doesn’t attack people or yell at people for no reason.
1:30 alright let's rewind. This is how anyone else would've responded, "Do I work out? Cmon you seen this body😏 of course I don't".
That scene in Wandavision is twisted morality.
I'm so happy you pointed out the unfair sidelining in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. We the fans waited six years for a sequel, only for Wanda to steal all of the best scenes, even though she already had her own series and a perfect character arc already.
Main characters are rarely the focus of their own movies anymore. She has a legitimate gripe there.
Hahahhaha Don Cheadle was not having it. Also please light my man better in the interview.
You don't have to put effort into a story when your audience feels morally compelled to like it.
they wanted to make brie larson the face of the mcu and she won't even be the face of the sequel to her movie
Brie: DIVERSITY!
Disney: You're a costar in your next movie with two women of color.
Brie: WHAT?!
I didn’t hate the trailer that much but yeah it doesn’t look good. Maybe it’s because of numb to the bad MCU, but I don’t see this doing too well. Especially when the plot of this movie is just ripping off the sub plot of rise of the silver surfer with the four swapping powers.
"Even Republicans buy shoes." - Michael Jordan
"Promote one demographic by disparaging another." - Disney Executives, probably
The Wandavision Plan is really good. I will kidnap someone, hold them in my Basement for a few Weeks and when I finally release them, I will be a True Hero. Finally.
Brie seemed like a pretty normal actor before she went full woke. I still watch her singing black sheep in Scott Pilgrim vs the world.
She was perfectly ok in "The Gambler." Things didn't have to be this way...
Unequivocally the voice of brilliance when it comes to honest and enlightened critique and analysis of the MCU and all things Marvel. Bravo sir and keep them coming to expose the truth and reveal the hypocrisy!! 🍻👍
Is this video a personal attack or something?
Gotta love Don Cheadle's disgust sitting next to Brie L-arson..
It's gonna be their biggest floo yet 🤣🤣
I, for one, love ‘The Bride’ (Beatrix Kiddo) from “Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2” and Ellen Ripley from the Alien series. They were characters though and not just their ‘gender’.
Brie hears about the title of the sequel being changed to "The Marvels". She says "is that a personal attack or smth?"
I just recently found your channel from seeing you on drinkers open bar. After watching one video I was hooked! Your videos are excellent and you a earned a new subscriber! Cheers bro!
Bree "pure poison" Larson.
It'll be our job to teach are kids about quality films. My father's the reason I saw the original star wars in the first place. On fricken VHS, anyone remember those? Yeah they were dying but still a thing when I was a kid.
What's sad is that cat could defeat anyone by just eating them.
There’s a ton of videos that saying The Marvels movie flopped because of men? Like depending on men’s support to make sure things are successful? Do we need men or not?
I find comfort in the fact that the people I disagree with the most view evil people as role models.
What a messed up society, this world is
@free_at_last
I don't really believe in good and evil, but if evil _is_ real, then Hollywood would literally be the most evil place on Earth; enough to make the deepest parts of the Middle East look like suburban Ohio.
Even if Gardians of the gallaxy proves to be a genuinely good film and is a satisfying send up for the characters and James guns roll in the MCU myself and most people who aren't MCU Stan's and or Simps are seeing the Marvel's 😅
i love the irony of an actress who refuses to "play" like someone who fans would actually like.
"Is this like a personal attack or something?" And "i dont know. Do they still want me to do it?" Still my favorites.😂😂😂
Whenever i see her it feels like looking at amber heard
She peaked in Scott Pilgrim
1:49 She shuld become a politician.
Glad to see you with the drinker!
The age less line. Where do I get in line to not see this.
The Marvels will be another mediocre MCU product
Indeed
you're an optimist, i see. A rare breed these days.
mediocre? dayum son, this will make the "AntifaMan and the CommieMania with Socialist Ants" movie look like a masterpiece both as CGI and writing.
Looks good to me 😊 I can't wait to see it!
You could say that again.
I own Dr Strange (0ne). Love Tilde Swinton in it. The Director's Commentary is great. The Dainish Villain is perfect, really see people Enjoying the movie they're making. Couldn't pay me to see the Cucked #2.
I was having a shit day until the cynic and drinker drop a video on this future bag of shit movie. Thanks buddy you cheered me up!!
I love watching Disney burning their money like that.
Can we just get a solo film for the cat plz. Need an origin story.
Kamala khan is basically how the audience would react to anything if they were sucked into a marvel movie
"Ms Marvel crushes the Matriarchy"
I remember when they started the "Ms" excrement in the 70s; I've always preferred to pronounce it "missy."
Pandering just breeds more negativity. It separates people, not brings them together.
Well said, brilliant
