I really appreciate those kind words. When I read it like that you're absolutely right. I picked a tough time to come into Subaru content creation. Hahah
Even with your chopped audio, and long winded crazy videos, i still come back every single time for my weekly VB content. You’re getting better each day and nothing will stop me from watching these videos as long as you’re you, and you keep talking Subaru. 💪
I've been saying this since I first found your channel over a year ago. I don't have my vb yet, and I don't mod, BUT, I love your content and learn a lot from your content. Keep up the great work and let the haters hate. Most of them probably don't even have a wrx.
You know who you are. we all know your integrity and honesty. There will always be people that want to be derogatory. Just keep being you. You are awesome.
I love Aeroflow they are close to me so i always pick up from them. Also you're the man I love your channel and if i knew you were gonna be at subifest i would of said hi. Thanks for everything you do for us.
Your all good with me, the video you made was strait forward and they gave a honest review and walk thru. Sad people doesn’t realize a lot of stuff is the same thing and stamped with another name. Keep it going love the videos
I got a good batch of parts at first from Aeroflow for my VB, and the only part I really had an issue with was the CF duckbill spoiler was a little tiny bit warped and didn't fit exactly, denting my trunk a little. Instead of throwing a fit like I see saddeningly often, I had a local body shop take a look, sand the spoiler and re-apply with their 3M and screws, showed AFD the body shop bill for transparency, and AFD helped me out by covering the body shop's bill off the cost of the spoiler. Sure, I can't return my hood scoop I didn't use, but it is what it is; spare parts for later. Throwing a fit will just feed this saddeningly recurring cycle of vitriol around anywhere we use to get parts. Keep doing your thing, Awais. You're awesome! Let the door hit the haters where life split 'em on the way out. Just makes those who stick with you all the better.
No issues with my AFD parts. Front lip is great. After a long backorder I received a gloss black (ordered carbon fiber) front grill. Decided I liked the black better and they refunded the price difference quickly. No issues. You'd never know my lip kit all around is a combination of "different" companies. Thanks for doing what you do.
I had AFD on my 2010 Mitsu RalliArt sportback. Since I'm local, I go directly to them and they installed it for me the same day. I had that car for 11 years and never had a problem. Now, I'm thinking about getting it from them again. I'm not defending them in anyway, I'm just saying that I have no issues with them when I got thier products. Now, im thinking about getting a set for my new car now ...
They do weird marketing stuff like increase their prices during Labor Day and then tell ppl use their “discount codes” just to end up getting a regular price…
Dude you don’t have to justify shit from anyone brother, met you at Boxerfest in York PA, and you’re not lying you will speak with anyone. You’re cool AF and your VB is dope AF. Keep doing you my boy🤘
@@HeavyMetalWRX yeah man you crushed my hopes lol but I really appreciate you taking the time out to speak with me. Blessings to your family 🙏 I’m always looking forward to your content and I trust your work.
Hey bro. You are awesome. There is never a problem with gathering and bringing out information. This is a really good community, but there is always gonna be a select few people that are always just gonna be online to hate or to drag things. Any one mistake and their whole world crumbles. Forget those attitudes and just keep kicking butt my friend! The real folks will always be here for you!
Agree with this 100%. More information is never a bad thing. We live in a silly world now where people get upset when someone they don’t like gets interviewed.
Thank you for your content and passion. Re some of the negative comments, comes with the territory. You are voiding your ideas, comments, and concerns to a large audience, many of us new to the brand and make. You make the time and effort to go out and meet the vendors and mechanics, so your word is valuable.
@@Stevie445 I appreciate the support! I don't for the community but I also meant a lot from it. I may have a channel but sometimes I'm as lost as everyone else. We go on this journey together r

I have first hand experience. They sell things that aren’t in stock all the time. I purchased 3 different items from them and had to wait weeks with no update. Then when you message them they told me the items weren’t even in stock. They have a terrible business model and hide it with an above average social media presence
Yea ok it’s made up haha. They did it to me on a v3 and v4 duckbill. And then again on a pair of side skirts. I haven’t bothered with their site since.
16:15: Ok, gonna share some old timer wisdom here. As the saying roughly goes, you will reap what you sow. In this case, if you get stuck in that grind, focusing on the ones who leave, you will never move forward, grow, or find your true potential. But, if you focus on your supporters, listen to what they say, follow their guidance, your growth will continue and expand. Aim in the direction you want to grow. If you want to go the way of the dodo, focus on the defectors. If you want to reach new heights, focus on those who are telling you how to do so. My .02 cents. New subscriber. New to any Subaru that was manufactured after Y2k. And most assuredly new to the VB. But both you and AFD have ushered me into this new age with confidence and excitement. Stay true to you and the fans will follow.
Smeedia is the best with Subies, but I gotta say this. I did not like you at first, but I like your channel now. I'm not a VB guy, but it can produce decent gains for less.
@@the_grim_griefer I really appreciate that. I don't expect anyone to enjoy what I do blindly or any creator for that matter. I'm the same with some gaming channels I watch. That said I appreciate you driving me a chance at least. 🙏

Look what matters most is that when you buy a product it arrives and is of decent quality. Aeroflow has not disappointed me yet. Does some stuff take a bit to arrives, yes but it’s always listed on the website that the product will arrive at a later date. I think a lot of it is that people are insanely loyal to long standing brands and not giving new companies a chance
@@alexanderwise3932 I agree. If and when they have customer services issues then for sure they should address them. Im Not saying they her a free pass. I want the criticisms to be fair as well. For all companies.
I ordered my V-type wing (type R wing) in the wrong color. My title and registration even says "Peal Blue" but it's actually WRB. Anyways i contacted Kevin Garcia via the 2022+ VB group and they replaced mine at no cost. I paid the shipping there $70 or so but still. For something that was 100% my fault they replaced it and shipped it back. I've ordered pretty much my entire car from AFD. They've even hooked me up with new release items to test out at no cost. I keep going back for the customer service. They are prompt and hella chill.
@@HeavyMetalWRX we appreciate you. Social media provides the least emotionally regulated a platform to scream into an echo chamber. Lol... I find it hilarious that people said you are a shill for doing an interview, walkthrough etc. Keeo up the good work Awais!! If you haven't seen the facebook trash talking yet, then they like to speak bad about AFD. Some of it is likely competitors to be frank. Some criticism is valid, but a lot is just plain toxic drivel.
Just tons of blind hate with AFD. I have bought lots of things from them, no issues. I know others have though, but I also know they will go out of their way to correct the mistake. Don't let the hate get to you Awais.
I understand that sometimes people have issues with companies and I think it's relevant for everyone to know. We just need to be a little better about how we voice that concern.
I havent worked with AFD, as in i havent bought anything, but i enjoy their content on youtube and i love how they helped the VB community single handedly. SO, with that being said, who cares what anyone says, if you went to the horses mouth and sat down, im good with that conversation. I felt that it was a good interview and it made sense on what happened i guess.. Again, I have no idea about their CS or products being faulty etc. People just want a reason to raise their fist and pump it.. Dont stress over this shit awais... anyone who doesnt take your word and has formed their own opinion is just that, their opinion. Getting dragged into shit like this will make you miserable about youtube. just ignore them.
I’ve had nothing but good thing to say about AFD. Ordered many parts and preordered stuff and they always ship fast for me and always answer question when i email them. Some people don’t like them cause they also don’t look at things that are backordered. People love noble parts but don’t realize afd is the same stuff. People just always like to talk shit on anyone
@@HeavyMetalWRXi can agree with that 100% but people also think that afd is making half this stuff. It’s all the same stuff as noble i notice for the most part minus a few stuff they do make models and forms from in house. I think it’s great you’re putting the info out there for everyone. Myself included to look into as a very frequent viewer of the channel.
Trying to say it is discrimination against asians is just silly. These are ppl who bought Subaru's which are japanese cars and everyone loves jdm parts because they are quality. It was pretty obvious to me that AFD parts were bad quality so I avoided them completely.
Some of their stuff is about the quality of what you would get on ebay items for a 3rd of the price. The support you get from them is pretty good tho. They were pretty responsive with some issues I had with one of their duckbill spoilers. The vent visors I got from them I still have on the car.
Reddit holds some of the worst people who only like to poop on others no matter what you say, lol. Screw them dude, you seem honest and personable to me. This drama doesn't affect my thoughts on you and your content. :)
Ive been on the internet since 2002. I have been playing online games (World of Warcraft) for 16 years. I am totally accustomed to trolls and internet arguments haha
Man what’s wrong with people, it’s all about networking and community. The video was great, and AFD admitted to their mistakes and have learnt from it.
Thats right! I made it my goal to go out and see as many companies as I can. I know not everyone can do that so I took it upon myself on behalf of the community.
I think a few people here have said it already. I never understood the hate for AFD, I see it even in a VB Facebook group. Yet there is a guy named Kevin who works for AFD in that group who reaches out personally to everyone who has issues... So I don't know how that equals a shitty company? Their products might be cheap, but again as others said, it's the same stuff that JDMuscle and Noble have, so why only hate AFD? I'll be buying painted fender flares when I can. And I'll make my own decisions on AFD. I'm sure they'll be great 👌🏻
Hey I just wanted to give you my 2 cents. I honestly don’t like AFD products. But you are always subject to your opinion. I think you are a great content creator. So keep up the great work. Now I don’t think their products are cheap Chinese stuff. But I do believe they have insanely poor quality control. I had bought my wing and had a cracked base. Yes they did replace it multiple times. It was such a pain as a customer to go through that process. And even till this day the newest wing I got. The paint had chipped. This would have been the 3rd time. I am just so exhausted as a customer. I would rather I send the product back to them and give me a refund. The end of my day, from personal experience. I think they have great ideas. But man the quality control is just horrible. I bought a diffuser from them as well. And the bolts rusted. The side skirts I bought from them fell off.
Love your channel but Aeroflow absolutely did me dirty. I ordered an in stock spoiler for my WRX from them- got the wrong color by mistake- on me, but I contacted them to cancel the same day and they not only would not cancel my order but wouldnt even allow me to ship it back to them at my expense. They just refused to take it back. That’s a garbage shortsighted company. I was at the beginning of my build and other sellers gladly took my money. Never again with aeroflow.
@@larrylambert2727 my intention is not to give them a pass or forgive them all the wrong things that have happened. This is why I went there. To ask why bad stuff even keeps happening. @@HeavyMetalWRXYeah, I didnt sweat it too much honestly- a couple hundo on a build wasnt awesome to lose but it wasnt catastrophic. Love your channel, bro. Dude, SOA is talking about buying my car back because of multiple trans and clutch issues. I love the car, but I already color matched the bumper and have a ton of parts to bolt on. Has anyone ever heard of a buyback on a VB? Where does that leave me? They should trade me for another. Not just send me on my way. 😢
@@bryanallendorf7064 I appreciate the support! Dude you should see if you could talk them into maybe putting all of that money for the car and stuff towards a TS or something
I wish. I literally have thousands in parts sitting with a Cobb AP that has been in the box for a year and just purchased new expensive flow formed wheels because I bent a couple last month. This car is possessed. I'm in talks with head woman in charge at SOA we'll see what happens.
Just because he has a warehouse doesn't mean he isn't re-selling someone else's products at a mark up , it totally makes sense when you think about the wait time/shipping/and quality issues . They are using the incorrect term for what they do , it may not be "drop shipping" but they are not making everything in house they receive the same Chinese parts from an oem like all the other ebay blasters and re-box and label them as their own it is what it is . Trash is Trash .
No one said they make everything in house. They even said they have a factory overseas that makes the parts for them. Then they get shipped to the US. That's what MANY companies in the US already do. 🤦♂️
The thing is almost every company does this. It's not like you stop using Amazon or eBay or. Shopping at Best Buy or Target or whatever. Calling one company out because of assumptions is ridiculous, if you know they don't make all their own products then what's the problem? They don't say they made it themselves... Getting upset about something obvious is weird, it almost feels like the community is upset that they were naive instead of just saying "oh, I didn't realize everyone did that, but I won't let this knowledge affect me because of my bias."
@@HeavyMetalWRX Yup, plenty of manufacturers and brands are supplied from overseas and build Chinesium into their own products or repackage. It's not uncommon and it's what a LOT of "influencer" brands do. Plus, it's not just AFD doing it for VB WRX owners. Where do people think Noble, JDMuscle, etc. get a lot of their plastic stuff? I haven't seen any criticism of those guys at all. I'm positive they and almost every other seller on eBay pretty much have the same supply chain. Hell, I'm curious to see if they all have the same mold/cavity markings on those parts, too LOL Personally, I think AFD's markups are ridiculous but they probably have some sort of reasoning (again, don't really care why), though they do admittedly get the most hate out of other brands, which I find interesting. Probably because AFAIK, they were one of the first who saw the true potential in the VB market and POUNCED on that opportunity and painted a big target on their backs. Just interesting to see they catch flak for the same stuff other brands are doing. There's plenty of anecdotes out there of people ordering eBay Chinesium and receiving it in Noble packaging. Nothing but crickets when it comes to JDMuscle and Noble, though 🦗🦗🦗 And don't get me wrong, no hate to AFD. In fact, the first lip I ever got was from them. I'm glad they basically pioneered the VB aftermarket and got other folks trying to cash in on it. A competitive market is a strong market. Either way, doesn't matter to me because if I want cheap, replaceable, Chinese aero then I've opted to buy direct from eBay 😂😂 Those guys have the factory connections
Aeroflow is quality and always pretty speedy shipping lol some people also dont understand that the titles arent always what they seem. Have to play with the titles and draw people in somehow, TH-cam algorithm is weird nowadays. No reason to hate, you keep doing you bro, I'll always dig your content🤘
Highlight this Comment: I run a Literal Collision Repair Body Shop. Guess what: INSURANCE Companies Choose/Approve A/M Taiwan made Parts to Replace the Parts on your Damaged Vehicle all the time, UNLESS you pay extra for an OEM only Policy which the MAJORITY of people do not have, nor do they even think about when signing up for a Policy. I Also worked for SOA. For example: Do people really think the 2021 STI Never Came for Whistling Issues due to their Wing? They Absolutely did. All the Time. You would be surprised just how many OEM wings were replaced only to have the same whistle happen. A Subaru Dealership itself is a Form of Drop Shipping Cars Made in Japan. Even American Made Products, like freakin Chevy. Dear Gawd I wish people knew just how crap some parts can be. They Come in the Box, you fit them, and they fit like Absolute Dog S***. So we Return it and get a piece. AND PPL STILL GET MAD about how long its taking due to Parts Holdup/Shipping. How about this, Imagine waiting 7MONTHS for a Bedside Panel for a Toyota Tacoma.. and you finally get it, Fit the Panel to the Truck... "OH WELL WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT, The Bedside Panel from TOYOTA OEM Did not FIT correctly. "Hey guy, need another bedside for this vin and need to return this one." 'Well Looks like the closest time frame for another is 2.5MONTHS. 2.5 MORE MONTHS OF BACKORDER. If your Parts do not fit correctly, then the shop obviously did not care. It is YOUR job to find a shop that will put the car together correctly according to THE OEM Parts Manuals. I have a whole Library of Current and Older manuals of all Makes, Even Jaguar which Ive only worked on 3 in the entire time ive managed this shop, you still need to consult the Notes -Period. How things are supposed to be fit, the amount of spot welds/spot weld points, Expansion Foam, You Name it. Fact of the Matter is, OEM Quality comes from the Care in how the vehicle is assembled. If you Care about your car? Especially after a wreck? Well you better make damn sure the shop you take your car to, cares just as much. Our Business has been serving the Community for 60+ Years. We are Older than AAA Insurance Themselves. There is NO difference between OEM Plastic and A/M Plastic. It All Fits the Same. It is all Made of the Same Plastic. And it ALL can be absolute DogS*** when you open the box. Whether its a BMW or a Toyota Corolla, Guess what... the Corolla is made out of the SAME materials as the BMW. In Conclusion: Yes Businesses have to Learn Just like You Do, Just like I Had to when it comes to providing a Service. I am ALWAYS experiencing Hiccups. But what I have learned is One Very Important thing: OEM - Aftermarket. They Both Come FLAWED at the same rate. Ive Returned things to Aeroflow Multiple times. I have ALSO Not Been able to return things to IIR, Subispeed, BlackhawkJapan, JDMuscle and other outlets. Hell Imagine Paying 900$ For an OEM Bedside and NOT BEING ABLE TO RETURN IT. The Shop just has to EAT it. If you truly care about the parts you by for your car, Go TO THE VENDER location and Inspect the Part before taking it HOME. Just like I have to.. ESPECIALLY when I have to work on a Lame-a** Tesla. They Do not SHIP the MAJORITY of their parts. I have to make a special trip myself or get Approval from someone Above the Dealership to allow Allocation for Said Parts. You think I would just... Wait for it to get here.. and then decide if Im gonna be happy with it?? No. Im going to TAKE THE INITIATIVE and make Damn Sure I don't need to go back there, hours and hours away from My Shop. It all depends on circumstances, and no matter what you think, if you are nice enough, you WILL get helped. Not everyone or Business is perfect. Sometimes I have to Submit over 100 Individual Photos just to justify Repairs and Repair Processes, Everything from Opening the Box and checking for Damaged Parts, to Taking Photos of the Manual PROVING there is a Rock Guard Paint layer on the bottom side of a Truck/SUV. Not all circumstances are Ideal, but im taking Initiative. People need to grow up and remember this. Heres an even Better Idea. Have a BODY SHOP Install and Correct your Parts. Its Literally My JOB to make everything fit perfectly and Repair/Repaint In Order for Things to Fit Correctly. Want to know how much Paint Costs? Lexus will charge me 700 dollars for a literal PINT JAR. Paint is Hugely Expensive. Want solid installs? Don't expect to spend a little bit of money and expect a wing installed by my shop to be anywhere near what someone does at home. Same Build Materials, Different Work Process / Care to attention. A lot of people don't care to properly seal or protect the surrounding paint when drilling. People RUIN their trunks, but im not going to say anything.. Its their car. They don't even seal the Wing Components themselves! Regardless, we are all human. We All Have Learning to do. Best we can do, is forgive and move on.

Off topic: how do you feel about your perrin parts? I love the cosmetics of their parts, but that doesn't matter. Are they reliable? Perrin intake over ETS? 🤔
Perrin stuff has been great to me! There has been testing done showing the Perrin intake to be one of the lower power ones (by 5-15hp depending on dyno and tuner) so that's something people care about. Besides that the reliability seems to be fine. No issues yet and all my parts have been through a lot.

I think a chunk of part of them saying its "chinese crap" came from the STI wings. They had the V1 which was made in the US and a solid quality, then they released the V2+ which was, and mind you they listed it and were honest, that they were from overseas. An the quality was obviously not on par. But yes, IT IS THE SAME PART others are selling haha. Though it is the internet so I am sure there are some racist ass hats here anyway. EOS sent me a wing as well, SAME PART. Ended up not using it. Too much work IMO. What I do think is AFD needs a more....likeable person doing their videos imo. The guy just really puts off that vibe of the kid at a car meet slapping on pep boy vents and wanting to race everyone 🤣 An wtf about sponsors with Tanners stuff? I missed that. Hell, I get sent parts for my tiny ass channel, an I do honest reviews on them. Def not the same as a sponsorship for food type deal, but like, we wouldnt make much content without these types of things. End of the day...People be dumb yo.
That’s just flipping kids talking shit. I can tell ya right now if I could I’d upload pictures of my Wrx and I have thousands of dollars of mods from import image and Aeroflow and I can tell ya aeroflow has better prices and way more quality parts when it comes to splitters, skirts, all exterior mods and I’ve ran both so I’m talking from experience. I also fd up ordered a gurney flap from them wrong color, didn’t like it either way, they took it back no questions asked. I payed the $15 shipping but big deal it was my fault, I could have been on the hook for couple hundred. Now this isn’t to say import isn’t a great company cuz they are and their customer service is top notch. My cars tuned through Clark turner since 2000 miles speedometer, now at 12k and no problems, that was facilitated through import. So these kids running their mouth it’s just youth on the internet. I’m 43 and if they were jacking me around I’d let it be known but aeroflow is solid all ways around.
If someone has a bad experience then it is what it is. There is no excuse for bad customer service. What I have an issue with is people just roll with what the hear sometimes instead of doing research. I didn't want to just repeat the same stuff. This is why I went to the source for answers. Glad you had a good experience!
I wonder if i still have all my emails with them. they lied to me about shipping to me repeatedly and finally sent me unmatched shit and then ducked my calls. Customer service...pshh sure. That didnt happen until I called my credit card company. your videos are cool but my opinions on AFD is pretty low.
Makes no sense to call products chinese crap… China has a lot to critique, but to say they don’t make high quality parts is insane. They make the best stuff, issue is that they can make at any price point you order it.

SO, with that being said, who cares what anyone says, if you went to the horses mouth and sat down, im good with that conversation.
I think it's important that people do listen to what's going on in the community. Sometimes we go a little too hard hating on something.
@@HeavyMetalWRXi can agree with that 100% but people also think that afd is making half this stuff.

Did you happen to post this message on an iPhone or Android...?
@@HeavyMetalWRX Yup, plenty of manufacturers and brands are supplied from overseas and build Chinesium into their own products or repackage. It's not uncommon and it's what a LOT of "influencer" brands do. Plus, it's not just AFD doing it for VB WRX owners. Where do people think Noble, JDMuscle, etc. get a lot of their plastic stuff? I haven't seen any criticism of those guys at all. I'm positive they and almost every other seller on eBay pretty much have the same supply chain. Hell, I'm curious to see if they all have the same mold/cavity markings on those parts, too LOL
Personally, I think AFD's markups are ridiculous but they probably have some sort of reasoning (again, don't really care why), though they do admittedly get the most hate out of other brands, which I find interesting. Nothing but crickets when it comes to JDMuscle and Noble, though 🦗🦗🦗
And don't get me wrong, no hate to AFD.

I run a Literal Collision Repair Body Shop.
But what I have learned is One Very Important thing:
OEM - Aftermarket.

End of the day...People be dumb yo.
Idk man I liked Jeff 🤣🤣 maybe it was the boy racer in me that connected with him haha

@@HeavyMetalWRX Lol facts the internet is the new Wild Wild West 😆
All aftermarket parts look and feel cheap. From aeroflow to JD muscle.
All of them
That’s just flipping kids talking shit.
Aren't we all supposed to hate AFD, plastic cladding, and CVTs? Right? Isn't that what cool people think?
maybe CVTS hahah
I mean let them cry who cares lol
Haha I don't mind having a conversation with the community. Through conflict comes resolution!
Don't listen to redditors. Reddit is a cesspit for sad losers.
Makes no sense to call products chinese crap… China has a lot to critique, but to say they don’t make high quality parts is insane. They make the best stuff, issue is that they can make at any price point you order it.
Who cares
Not first
Aw man, next time! haha
