    As a Bolton fan I wish the fans of these clubs all the best. They don't deserve to see the clubs they love suffer at the hands of bad ownership/mismanagement. There's light at the end of every tunnel, keep your chins up.

    Leicester fan here. Injuries have killed us this season rather than an ageing squad. That being said, challenging for the top 4 is an exception rather than the norm. No long time City fan would expect us to be there season after season.
    Tielemans and maybe Maddison will leave at the end of the season. Vardy will be thinking about retirement. These are big holes to fill, but recruiting younger players and developing them is the clubs strength.
    Nobody at City is calling for Brendan Rogers to be moved on. That's pure fantasy. He is an excellent coach and the right man to take us forward. Who on Earth would we replace him with?

    • @Raptorman0909
      @Raptorman0909 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I think Vardy will hang in there a while longer -- he still has plenty of shithousery to do!

      Excellent youth policy bringing players through. As previously stated injuries have killed us this season. No real pressure on Rodger’s, still owners of the highest quality. Ground being expanded. To say we’re on the brink of survival is rather extreme.

    • @DoctorMooCow
      @DoctorMooCow 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      some of our fans have definitely become a bit entitled since the league win. all the half time boos and brendan out chatter on social media. dont think they understand how hard we have been overperforming. i dont think its all doom and gloom though. we are transfer magicians

    • @andreashessler838
      @andreashessler838 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DoctorMooCow I think it's the new faces that have appeared down there since we started being successful, rather than genuine City fans.
      They haven't experienced the inevitable disappointment yet. I doubt that they will stick around for long once we have a tough patch. You can tell them a mile off.
      I'm all for attracting new fans, but if you are from the City and just want to follow a club that wins all the time, Leicester probably isn't the club for you.

    • @GenialHarryGrout

    I honestly don’t think Hannover would have been in this crappy position in the Bundesliga 2 if Robby enke never threw himself in front of a train all those years ago, the fella was scheduled to be Germanys new no1 keeper just before his demons got him, he was working on his coaching badges and everything with Hannover getting ready to bow out and be there lead gk coach, rest in peace la, you’ll always remain the second on my list of goalkeeping heros/inspirations and I do what I do because of amazing inspirational players like Robert, if his family had only survived so would Hannover. Rip Robert, rip one of my hero’s, you not only taught me so much about goalkeeping but your personal story and stuggles showed me how to overcome my own demons instead of falling to them, you might have taken your life buddy but you damn saved mine 100x over already, sleep tight you amazingly generous man, we’ll keep playing on forwards for you boss man and one day Hannover will be back where they belong I promise you 💚💚💚

    Genoa have been circling the drain for some years now mainly down to a transfer policy which belongs back in the 00s. Frankly they have close to relegation for the last 5 years. It is a shame they have a fairly productive youth academy and reasonable income and a great reputation.

    As a Derby fan not the chart to be number one. Would not wish the torment we have gone through to any other fan of any club in the world. Irony is that the owner stated about 5 years ago that he wanted to have a team of youngsters brought through from the academy to play in the Premier league and we have ended up having to sell the better ones for peanuts in order to stay in business and the more experienced players that we spent millions on have been allowed to leave for free as their contracts have expired. Income tax has not been paid since 2016, no wonder we are in a mess. Fingers crossed a new owner is in the pipeline in the near future and Wayne Rooney can pull off a miracle. He has worked wonders so far with limited resources.

    Aside of Celtic & Rangers, Aberdeen are arguably the biggest club in Scotland, and they have never been relegated from any division, and in the top flight since 1905. Also they are last Scottish team to win a European trophy, and the only one to win 2 European trophies. However, they have gone downhill fast since sacking their last 2 managers, both unnecessary imo, and find themselves in a precarious position and with an outside chance of relegation for the 1st time this season, having failed to make the top 6 before the split. Also, bad publicity concerning long serving player Andrew Considine has not helped.

    Genoa is basically the farm team for Juventus. Any Juve youth player that is ready for Series A minutes but find their pathway blocked by a veteran on a team looking to win trophies finds themselves on Genoa.
    Its worked out well for both teams as Juve gets minutes for their kids and Genoa can field a competitive team without having to drop a ton of cash in the transfer market.
    The new transfer rules that are being instituted are going to kill the Juve-to-Genoa pipeline. Absolutely destroy it and in turn it's going to destroy Genoa as a mainstay in Series A and B.

    I've watched a lot of serie A on BT sport this season. Genoa had an amazing 3-3 draw against Hellas Verona early on, but after that they were dreadful. No organisation. No passion. I think I saw five games of theirs in a row when they didn't score as well. And in that 6-0 against Fiorentina you could at one point see their keeper tell his defenders to just have a go and put some effort in. But in their last two games, under their latest manager, they're suddenly transformed. They've both been goalless draws but they have looked organised, committed, and really battled. Which leaves me thinking why they couldn't do that for Shevchenko. I think they're doomed for the drop, but they do look like they have a better future ahead.

    I'm glad Girondins de Bordeaux get a mention. One of the great teams of French football, with such a storied history (dating back to 1881!). Would be sad to see them relegated.
    HITC Sevens did a video on GdB's troubles just very recently. Very informative & eye-opening about the dreadful mis-management going on at GdB. And so many other clubs are suffering through this - it's something that NO club should ever have to go through :/
    Another proud club that doesn't get a mention (one that's in a country where football is not the number 1 code) is Perth Glory in Australia's A-League. Four points adrift at the bottom of the A-League (they won't get relegated, because there's no lower tier to be relegated to). Glory are one of the few A-League clubs that pre-date the formation of the league.

    Oldham Athletic chairman has agreed to sell which has resulted in the fans returning peacefully to the stadium. If Oldham go down I doubt they’ll ever return to the league.

    A percentage of premiership money should be past to lower league clubs. Lower league clubs are important to the English game. Many future football stars come up from the lower league,s.

    Honestly should've included AS Saint Etienne here. Them and Bordeaux's form are just so woeful that it's hard to believe that they used to be former French champions. Lille at least is in the top 10 still.
