Thank you for making all these videos everyday one of the few thingz I look forward to and it's always nice to see the different points of view storys thank you
TH-cam fearing Twitch, by deleting creators that promote going to it's site in videos. Imagine, if they did that to Ninja. 2:36 and yes YT is trolling their creators, time to do something actually about it, ie by like getting a bunch of top level TH-camrs together to counter this.
I was in the “guinea pig” generation where we were the first ever group of students who took the SAT’s that involved the forced essay with the beta grading system and there was no metric to calculate our quarter point penalty for guessing incorrectly and our scores suffered immensely... It felt like the biggest scam in the world and I couldn’t believe our standardized test that determines how universities select us could be so arbitrary... we were also prepped incorrectly as well as there were no teachers or tutors that have ever seen the new test styles before... I can’t believe 13 years later I’m still fuming over how fucked the American higher education system is and STILL paying back my student loans 😑
Meg Alyssa it does create problems with impulse control.. not an excuse by any means but especially because it seems she doesn't see it as sexual contact ADHD might affect her ability to see what's wrong with what she is doing in the moment and stop herself from doing it. Still, it is important to learn self control especially for those of us with ADHD and thus it is no excuse for inappropriate actions.
It has a lot to do with impulse control and correlates with the unempathetic qualities of autism. Meaning, in short, she may have a harder time reading the emotional feedback of other people after having assaulted them leading her to think it's ok. She may very well not understand personal space, which I think serves more as an explanation than an excuse. All in all, it's still safe to say, she should've known better.
Meg Alyssa I agree with you on the point that ADHD does not cause people to touch others with out consent. With that said though, as someone who has struggled with ADHD and Asperger's Syndrome, two thoughts come into my mind: 1) If on the chance she is using ADHD as shield herself from some of the criticism, then I would have to say that is a sorry excuse and she needs to know that is neither appropriate or acceptable thing to do. 2) If she actually does have ADHD, I would have to say that she is probably having some strong impulse and self control issues and should look into going to see some form of a specialist (Thearpist, Psychaitrist, etc) to get this issue under control. Also to leave this as a note, regardless if you have ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and/or any other diagnose- or lack there of- we as people need to treat people with human decency and not touch them where they don't want to be touched.
Some people who are hyperactive who are more grabby than others but usually we're talking about children. All of this stuff seems like we've become an overreactive society to both men and women in a time of changing mores. Don't believe me? Ask your parents. Either 90% of our parents generation are awful people (they sure as heck weren't asking for permission before kissing each other) or else some of this stuff if overblown and there should at least be allowances for the fact that mores are changing significantly right now.
Momokun's basically saying 'I'm sorry they felt that way with me using a mental illness as an excuse. Everyone had a grudge against me. I just wanted hug everyone.' She needs to take responsibility for her actions.
Mari Akutsu yeah instead of making ADHD look worse than what it is... or the other people who have ADHD for the actions she is too cowardly to admit she did it herself. I get excited (more so anxious and overly happy and excited especially at cons) and am handsy with friends. Doesn’t mean I go around touching people without their permission... I’m an adult. I know better. And if I mess up I would take responsibility and not blame it on anything. It’s like this hypothetical scenario. If I drink and drive and I’m an alcoholic and get pulled over and arrested I’m not blaming alcoholism. I’m blaming myself for my actions.
If a male did ANY of the things the cosplayer did he would be cancled and CRUCIFIED for blaming it on ADHD and saying any of the things in the "apology"
iSSYBOO13 it does seem like she is getting lots of backlash though. As someone with ADHD, I am pleased. ADHD doesn't mean you can't stop yourself from groping other people!
Il Al If it were a man, he would resieve backlash from EVERYONE tho and the story would be in the news, a Twitter moment and he would be crucified from the earth but since its a woman people are mad yes, but not nearly as mad as they would be if it were a female
I know several people with ADHD and none of them have ever gone around touching people like that or making anyone feel uncomfortable. What a terrible excuse
That’s not even remotely true. If a man slaps his male friend on the ass, everyone just laughs. Nobody gets crucified. It’s literally half the premise of Jackass or Nitro Circus or whatever MTV bro-bro show out there
The Enthusiasm Project It’s more streamlined and less BS than the SAT. Instead of Having to do Math I followed by Reading I and then Math II (for example), the ACT just gives one section for each subject, which makes more sense.
I mean the education system as a whole is failing students, i however do not mean that all the teachers are bad, but the rules and regulations seem to inhibit the primary function of education.
Agreed. I took the ACT when I was a senior back in 2010/2011 and it was not only free, but the one I took was on our school computers so the results were pretty much immediate. I did quite well, too.
The "double standard" between male and female "sexual assault" exists because it is very difficult for a woman to physically dominate a man. My daughter is 9 months old and enjoys smacking me in the face as hard as she can and it's hilarious... should I worry about double standards there too? I sure hope MMA fighters don't confuse that standard to the one I would hold them to.
Terry Crew does EVERYTHING the right way. Files a police report, calls out his assailant, even talks to congress. Yet his he's still blackballed by the guy accused and #metoo ignores him completely.
@Dean its not about domination at all. Me grabbing a girl's breast is not domination, its assault. Just like a random girl grabbing my junk would be assault. By your standard women can't be charged with physical assault charges against a guy, because she can't physically dominate him. Your example of your kid is silly, it causes no real harm and they have no concept of what they're doing. Now if your kid turns 16 and is still doing that, is that still ok, is that just another silly "double standard". The point is if you know what you're doing and it can harm someone, it is clear-cut assault. Assault is assault, regardless of victim or perpetrator.
Killingglorie that’s def true. But I would also prefer to be grabbed by a woman than a man. It’s less threatening and woman usually do it to friends in a playful way and not in a “I wanna fuck you” kind of way like men typically do. In that being said I don’t think anyone, man or woman should be grabbing strangers’ asses. You have to be close enough with someone to know if that’s acceptable or not.
Dean Bombaderi how are you comparing sexual assault to your 9 month old hitting you and MMA fighters? Just because the double standard exist doesn't mean it's right. Sexual assault is touching another person without their consent in any sexual way. Male or female.
As regards to the cosplayer story, no one have described the double standards in sexual assault incidents when it comes to men vs. women as South Park in that episode 'teacher bangs a boy' with all cops saying 'niccccceeeeeeee' .....
Ahmad Debian Noone is saying niiiice to momokun, dude. She gets lots of backlash. She's a predator and shouldn't be allowed in the community meetups imo
Except no con has yet to ban her, no assault charges have been filed against her. Yes people are outraged... on the internet. Give it a few months and she'll be doing as she does with only temporary damage. THAT is the issue.
Nati Whatever I believe I wasn't clear enough about my point (but IceQueen975 explained it well) I wasn't referring to the 'niiiiice' response.... My point is, if that cosplayer was a male, I highly doubt he would be a free man after a video of him grabbing some girl's butt or taking a top off some other girl's top goes viral. He would be arrested by now....if he was a man. And that was the case in that episode, when Kyle enters the police station telling them a 'teacher was having sex with a student' they were super serious and ready to take action assuming he was a male teacher...once they realize it was a pretty blonde teacher, they were all 'niiiiiice' in a way of they don't even care , which is the same case over here..... no assault charges filed against her, no bans, nothing....why?? because she is a girl
Ahmad Debian a dude would probably be about in the same situation. Because sexual assault is infamously hard to prove enough for a court of law. His reputation might be more tarnished but I gotta say I don't like Momokun at all myself. Also if he's famous even just internet famous it's difficult to speak out. A lot of people try to brush this kind of thing off in general because that couldn't have been on purpose right?
Caramel Jesus Non-profit doesn’t mean the company doesn’t make profit. It just means that it has no owners or stock, and has to use its profits in the company. A non-profit is not charity, as many people seem to think.
Not sure if it varies state to state but here a non profit business just has to put 60% of profits back into the business. The other 40%? They can do whatever they want. Swimming pools of money if they so choose
yep. The big climax would be because someone who was investigating her or a family member had to know the motive and at the end she just says: "I mean its awkward having to break the news right?"
I mean, didn't yesterday show a tweet of someone claiming men shouldn't try to take part in the #metoo movement and act as victims? lol. But yeah, the person that tweeted that is ignorant.
Me too does not work both ways, in fact in a lot of ways it does not work at all, only a few of the people that was tagged in that are ever actually victems and few people accused by it actually did anything wrong It's just a witch hunt campaign
Momokun's situation isn't a "result of" ADHD... it's a case of Arrested Development, plain and simple. She's a grown ass woman, that lacks impulse control, and likes to play dress-up. No offense to cosplayers, but she is hurting your hobby by being immature and dismissive of her inappropriate behaviors. Which I'm sure, she'll come out with a sexual abuse story, as to why she's sexually inappropriate, gain sympathy votes and all will be forgotten. But the thing is, people who exhibit that kind of behavior, don't tend to "grow out of it" but will often times repeat the same behavior. They might be able to curtail it for a bit, or figure out a way to hide it better.
Well, at my sexual assault hearing, I hope you are my lawyer, and can easily dismiss my behavior as "minor boundary issues" and convince the jury that I can work on it. Pinky swear.
The examples Phil had are just the tip of the ice burg. There is a lot more she did but Phil only had so much time in his show to cover the story. Ass slapping, multiple cases of boob-grabbing, ass-grabbing, exposing a woman's breast in front of strangers, putting a micro-phone against a woman's vagina- the list goes on. MANY people have come forward about her and the truth is that she's well known in the cosplay community for being disingenious to her followers and this isn't the first time she's been in the middle of a controversy within the cosplay community. Also what might not seem upsetting to you might be very upsetting to someone else. If someone was truly an "advocate of sexual assault" as she claimed in her story vid, would they just go up to people they don't know and touch them without permission, not knowing if they'd been assulted before and if that might be traumatic for them? Either way, her apology was bogus, she should just own up to it instead of passing it off as "it's my ADHD" or "people are just coming out all at once because of personal vendettas".
She thinks she's the cutesy oh so random pervy but hey that's just them being them anime character that no one can get mad at, how do I know this? I too have experiened a weeb-weebette? Whatever, point is, don't touch people you don't know-even people you do know, don't do it if they tell you to fuckin not.
'Minor Boundary Issues'? Hmm... then what about the numerous allegations of, er, theft...plagiarism (or whatever you call it when you take someone else's creation and present it as your own work). She has repeatedly presented 'her original character', and it can be disproven with a little google-fu THis woman is a cancer in the cosplay scene
@1 2 Apply anything Momokun has done to a MAN doing it to a woman. Is it "minor boundary issues" now? No? Then same thing for Momokun. Her having a vagina is not an excuse.
@YamiAlex224 I'd like to think he is in a evil lair somewhere doing just that @The Dark Lord I'm good thanks for asking. @TheAshenNamedJerry Hopefully soon. I wish I could make TH-cam my full-time job like Phil buuut I can't just yet. Thank you for being a fan though!
Thank you for covering Momokun. I covered her on my channel hoping to get the word out, so I’m grateful for this coverage. Cosplay is not consent and that applies to both genders!
the problem I have with Momo-kun is that... ADHD people apologize if you tell them it's wrong. Momo-kun was told VERY VERY OFTEN that it's not okay. She's just an asshole hiding behind ADHD, crying about it when she's told AGAIN not to. At LEAST Roseanne Barr doesn't have a history of being racist.
Who else is also watching old De Franco news episodes cos they are sick of hearing about covid 19 everywhere and just want to watch / hear alternative news
I live in japan and ohhh boy do I know about the “uncomfortable situation” thing. Pretty much everyone I know has been ghosted and blocked at sometime by friends, colleagues or significant others over dumb shit like slight disagreements, talking too much or not enough, not having the same ideas on x topic (political, business, whatever). I even know someone who blocked one of their best friends days before said friends wedding, because they couldn’t afford to go and instead of admitting they couldn’t go they just totally blocked their friend out their life - and LINE (the leading chat app) doesn’t even let the other person know they’re blocked. Leading to the sad situation that even on the day my friend was waiting and wondering where her friend was. I love it here but shit like that pisses me off and I wish people would grow a spine and be more honest with each other. It doesn’t surprise me about this nurse but I wish it did...
I know the culture is big on politeness, but you do your medical job or quit. You do not kill people. Everyone else in Japan manages to not be a serial killer because they're uncomfortable.
Here is a tough question, assuming she isn’t successful by the time she is in her 20’s what does Lil Tay’s future look like when there is all this stuff about her on the internet for the rest of her life? Isn’t this irresponsible on the parents part, she can’t really do much about it now, but she’s the one who will have to live with it right? There is no way at that age I would have been able to stand up for myself... I don’t think any child really could...
Roberto Blake probably not great, either she profit from the situation and become the second Jake Paul or the Kim family. If not, her future wont be bright
They or she will just concoct some bullshit story that she was playing a 'character' for 'entertainment purposes' and she'll continue profiting off whatever notoriety she has going on at the time. This is America now. SMFH.
It's not really a problem for her. She is going to be rich. There is an entire generation that loves respects and adores content like lil tay. She won't be successful but she will have a lot of money.
Pulling someone's top down and slapping the butt of someone you just met (or an unsuspecting stranger) is NOT "getting a little handsy with friends". That whole video made me feel weird. The way she was looking away, minimizing her actions and using her sarcasm to insult instead of truly apologize makes her seem guilty to me.
Exactly. I don't know how you can say you're "a little too handy" and "too comfortable" around friends when you do things like that. I don't think she's sorry at all, she just had to address it because it was gaining traction. Beyond that, she's a pretty terrible person so I'm not surprised.
Yea, the guy she pinched was clearly not a friend or in a comfort zone. Then she also says this was due to grudges and why it's coming to light. Both of those mentioned on pDS were first time meets so how can you say that you were in a comfort zone. Women always do this type of stuff and its downplayed, if this were a guy you would see totally different coverage and things like gamergate etc
I definitely think people don't take sexual assault as seriously when the perpetrator is a woman, and as for her excuses like 'being a touchy feely person' and using her ADHD as reasoning?? You don't grab random strangers' asses because you're a touchy feely person, and ADHD has no relevance to the situation at all. It just reminds me of Kevin Spacey trying to use the fact that he's gay to excuse all of his assaults tbh.. except this time her excuse is even worse
for starters, the condescending tone will get you nowhere lol, secondly no one here said that groping someone was the same as rape but ok. I'm not even sure what you're trying to say?? accept what?? why did you put accept in quotation marks lol?? no I don't know what your point is bc in your haste to try look superior you've not made any sense?? and no I'm not googling anything either when you can just explain what you're talking about properly
I agree with equating when done right; is a good way to caught people that are just guessing and being lucky over hardworking kids - but with such a harsh curve on some cases I find hard to believe they did their jobs correctly.
Katy Santiago if that's the case, her Parent needs to whoop the shit out of both of them and make sure they never touch anything with a camera until they are 18yo.
You do know that most cosplayers with a following often take commissions on the down low right? They're literally her competitors and have a monetary incentive to make her less desirable for customers.
Standardized tests are the dumbest thing. They measure how well you can memorize and/or be coached on how to take a test. Literally useless the moment you get accepted to any college.
bone rat "A good test challenges your critical thinking..." You know who say that?/ Lazy people. There are two.things a test should measure. Inherent intelligence, and diligence. A good way to do that is to require both formulas, AND logica thinking. This coincides with how IQ is split up to fluid and crystallized intelligence.
actually, spain changed 2 years ago its education system, one of the changes was chaning normal tests to Standarized ones, and believe me, the quality Dropped from a cliff. I mean literally, the quality of education dropped from a cliff, broke its neck, and proceeded to choke in its shards. Thats how bad it went. And its still going...
The tragedy is when a standardized test can't even do its job and be standardized uniformly at an equal difficulty for different versions so that the system doesn't involve how lucky you are about which version you get, especially with something as influential as this.
That Japanese nurse needs to go to jail. She considered it a burden to inform family members when a patient dies on her shift? She potentially could have killed every single patient that died in that hospital... what a monster.
Zoutheina Abbas I feel the same way but I mean when dealing with crimes and the you shouldn't take about potentially because that isn't necessarily what happened.... I believe life in prison with no parole would be generous... I mean what she did do is fucking disgusting and below any sane person.... so all I am saying is not to like say "pottentionally she could have" and more say this is what we are positive she did and she should be punished accordingly
I had no idea crossing the line sexually would be caused by ADHD. I have this, my child does and my sister in law does. Don’t remember inappropriate touching EVER
Seems feasible if she isn't being properly medicated. Not sexual stuff specifically, but dealing with any kind of inhibitions. If you have a particular urge, normally another portion of your brain would chime in and you would rethink your actions and stop yourself from acting on your urges. Depending one the specific symptoms, seems reasonable that one with ADHD could get sidetracked before that second step occurs, so they end up acting on their urges immediately without performing those mental checks. I would expect that to be a rare case, though, not something that commonly happens with a particular individual. If she gets distracted routinely enough that she's always harassing people, I wouldn't think that she could function very well in general.
Friekasoid That is a matter of perspective. I imagine a lot of those afflicted by the #metoo movement also considered their actions to be non predatory but they're still getting destroyed, even without any proof. Nothing about what she did would have passed if she were male and it's people like you who are keeping the double standard alive and well.
Ken of course it's a matter of perspective, thats why you don't touch anyone in any way if you don't know them. But when i hear "predatory" then i am assuming hunting someone physically or socially and then going in for non-consent sexual activities by forcing it through physical violence, alcohol or drugs. Or by making the victim mentally addicted and submissive to yourself. Things like that. But the described behaviour sound like dumb and stupid jokes you would do as teen or drunk at a party. I am pretty sure most people experienced something like that. But i agree there is a double standard because this is only excaptable for males.
I think you meant female but yeah, society continues to let women get away with everything while crucifying men for nothing. I'm numb to these stories at this point, it's obviously wrong but when vagina is involved, judgement becomes questionable. I guess that's just another fact of life that we have to accept. .3.
We had a nurse like that here in Ontario Canada, pretty much got away with it for over 7yrs because the coroner's ruled them non suspicious deaths. Google *Elizabeth Wettlaufer*
I had a local woman pull up In a van, blocked in my son to scream at him about vaping (he's 18 & doesn't know her). He called the cops, she followed him to his tennis match to yell at his coach. I can't help but think if a 64 year old man blocked in the car of a 18 year old girl people would have called him a pedophile. I hate that because I have a son people just assume that it's OK to do this....it's not. Women can be predators too
Sew joyful I don't understand how telling at someone for vaping is considered "pedophilic," specially if that person is 18, and thus, legally, an adult. Terrorizing someone, sure. But being a predator? No. Try again.
Isn’t vaping.....like smoking? Also if he’s 18 then that means he’s a legal adult. Which means it’s not pedophile. I mean the same goes for if the girl was 18 and the man was 64. She’s a legal adult so he’s not a pedophile. Am I missing something? And it doesn’t sound like she did anything sexual. It sounds like harassment to me. I had to read the comment a couple of times but I can’t help but feel like I’m missing something.
Sew joyful ok lemi explain the context since it when over ppl heads. you see a random van block block a young person and start talking to them. if person was a man, would you assume it was predator? being 18 isn't a magic number that means any sex is ok, or claim adults can't be kidnapped and raped. there is a double standard people think women don't abuse, but claim men is abusive.
Azura Moonstar Well for me that all depends on the context. If a random old man blocked a young person either it be female or male then I would automatically assume that that person is either a grandpa or their dad or some old relative. Since my grandpa does that to me sometimes when he’s mad at me. He blocks my car and starts talking to me. My mind doesn’t automatically go “Oh Predator.” I’ll just assume it’s a family member since I don’t know the two people in question. And my argument is that if the person is 18 which means that they are legally an adult in most states then it’s not pedophila. It’s creepy, and you should probably call the police on that person because they’re probably crazy but it’s not pedophila. And who ever says that women don’t abuse? No one has said that. I would like to know who would say that.
Momokun also cosplay as a character from a hentai and claimed its her "OC", which it isn't. Not only that, but cosplay Kanna from Dragon Maid, but not in a good way. She lewd the dragon loli... You don't lewd the dragon loli
Ponyboy John How do you cosplay hentai characters anyway? "Look, I'm not wearing the exact same clothes [insert hentai character] wasn't wearing." "This is not an octopus costume, it's a tentacle monster." Seems a little bit silly.
Now, I know Momokun has done some dumb (and inexcusable) shit, but to this day I still don't understand why people got so butthurt over a grown woman cosplaying (as sexual as it was) as Kanna. There is an unmistakable difference between "a grown-ass woman dressing up as a fictional character" and "a 2D dragon-loli." As far as I'm concerned, her so-called "lewding the dragon loli" is far from the worst thing she's probably done. I mean, there was even a snippet in the show itself where Kanna was "lewded," so technically Momokun was hardly the first to lewd her anyway. Then again, you can feel free to take my opinion with a grain of salt. After all, even after watching Dragon Maid and being fully aware of how adorable Kanna was, my first thought that came to mind when I first saw Momokun cosplaying her wasn't, "She lewded the dragon loli," it was "I gotta tap dat ass." To be clear, I don't really care for her all that much currently. I used to follow her, but I fell out after hearing about the shit she's done.
lucy. Chronically Ch/ill OC is short for original character, a character you created yourself. "Lewding" refers to a sexy cosplay of a character that is not portrayed as sexual in the original work. It is out of character, which is not a quality appreciated in the cosplay community, and for many it's a show of disrespect towards the character and the author. There's extra scrutiny for lewding young characters. Cosplay (cos+play) is more than just wearing a costume. Mannerisms, speech, character traits, a cosplayer implements them all into an all-round performance.
One of the biggest issues with believing that Momokun is genuine is that this isn't the first time she's fallen into hot water. She's been accused of stealing designs for her cosplay, not crediting the artists, and has a laundry list of other terrible things she's done. I'm with the accusers on this one and I do hope that the backlash keeps going, mostly cause I want her to FUCKING LEARN! I want her to really take a moment and examine what she has done and be better.
She won't learn because no matter what she does she has droves of people making excuses for her. She could kick puppies for fun and people would be arguing that she didn't really kick them -that- hard.
Just a question but isn’t the point of cosplay stealing designs? Most of the time you’re emulating character designs(of course there are cosplayers who do original characters and in that case it is plagiarism to copy)
She won't ever learn. You make a mistake, get shit on, then learn. When you have a record of it, it's not a simple mistake anymore. Terrible people don't change.
Ethan Lampe the problem was that she claimed a lot of her designs were her own creation. In fact the image Phil uses for his thumbnail IS for a character that she stole and claimed it as her own. It'd be like me making a show that uses Phil's format and style of discussion and claiming that it was 100% my creation. Almost every other cosplayer properly states who the character is and what series they are from.
As a student who took the june SAT and suffered from the way Collegeboard conducted the exam, I want to personally thank you for covering this. Hopefully with more people informed about it, a change can be made
Kev They offer a limited view on education, take advantage of a self restricted student body and charge hundreds just for students to get a decent learning experience. Enrolling in the ap program seems like a good idea because people think it'll look good on their resume but in reality it's just a useless measure of how well a person can bubble in and write about an obscure and insignificant topic.
With the Momokun thing, it could also not gain as much traction because cosplaying isn't super big. Generally speaking. She's not a huge celebrity. At the same time, pulling down someone's top is sexual assault and not okay. It's not an ADHD thing, it's a problem with boundary issues. I used to have them in high school. There was a girl with large breats and I touched one. Which was inappropriate. She wasn't mad, but still. I have often thought I only got away with that because I was a girl. So women definitely are let off easier. People learn boundaries and consent. Ask first.
Sideshow The Game Freak Look at this tweet (Phil didn't include it in the video): twitter.com/dangrrrdoll/status/1014908675998093313/photo/1 She pushed a microphone up against a girl's genitals with no warning. They were not friends and didn't know each other. The girl herself admitted she only kind of let it go because Momokun was female. If men "played around" like that there would be outrage everywhere from Jezabel to the Huffington Post.
I guarantee that after she blames a mental illness on it, when it continues, she is then going to play the "they are hating on me because I'm overweight, if I was anorexic they wouldn't say anything", she already has shown she is trying to make excuses and place blame on others for it. But maybe that doesn't surprise me so much with how society is going right now, instead of working on ourselves (in ALL aspects of life) we are told to DEMAND that others accepts all of our fixable/manageable flaws and poor life choices, because fuck putting in the effort to better me when I can blame everyone else for my actions.
Yeah the inappropriate touching thing raised an eyebrow but pulling someones clothes off and exposing parts of their body is absolutely sexual assault. Regardless of situation, if you had some crazy rare disease that made you pull peoples clothes off it still isn't ok; but special circumstances/conditions have "allowances" in the legal system that aim to help and not punish those who can't help themselves. In this situation though this chick just feels above the law because she's a woman and hasn't ever been kept in check. She has absolutely sexually assaulted at least a few people that we know of, possibly more.
I'll never forget when I was preparing for the SAT, is went to an after school practice session and the teacher there began with this: Know your enemy. *clicks next slide in the powerpoint* THE COLLEGE BOARD Screw their monopoly on education. It cost 15-25 bucks just to send your AP scores from a $98 test to your college. Ridiculous
I took 2 AP exams neither one got me out of any classes but I did get 3 credits that meant nothing in the long run. Twas a good use of $180 almost as good as lighting it on fire.
Hell, it costs money to send your SAT scores to colleges unless you send them right away which is usually not the case because a lot of people still don't know where they want to go to school yet
I cut out an entire semester of college with AP exams. Didn't want to re-take all the classes that I already took in high school. Get me to my goddamn major-specific classes already.
I also wonder since she's doing this at conventions, if people let her get away with it because 'anime.' I've seen a lot of cosplayers grope on each other because 'that's what they did in the show.' Not saying what she is doing is right. Just noticed it happens a lot and people need to realize it's real life and you can't touch on people.
@Canadian Owl Uh... I'll call bullshit. Lesbians have the highest rate of domestic abuse compared to gay or straight domestic abuse cases. It's like how in reality rape victims are roughly 50-50 between men and women but society keeps thinking/pretending it's overwhelmingly women as the victim. It's all perception, not reality.
IceQueen975 I mean we gotta victimise women all the time, right? We women supposedly must hate on the whole 'Damsel in Distress' thing according to feminists but they're the first ones to victimise themselves and paints women as damsels in need of rescuing from the patriarchy.
Mass40K If anyone looks at shit like that or any of these other vapid 'famous' people and thinks we are going in the right direction in the Western World, I'd love to know why. We used to dress and act with class. We understood basic concepts of life that we seemingly do not anymore. We are going backwards at an alarming rate. I watched my grandparents' generation live fullfilling lives. Remained married until death. Now people aren't even getting married. What the hell is going on?
Harassing people isn't a symptom of ADHD. And honestly, your mental illness or learning disability or any condition should never be an excuse for hurting somebody else. Period. But personally, as someone with ADHD, I'm peeved. But I've been to three anime conventions and seen tons of similar behaviour, I was kissed by a random at a convention without my permission in a photo. Let's just say it wasn't enjoyable or appreciated. I don't think she's an isolated incident whatsoever.
mademoisellesss I had a man come up and ask to take a photo with me in my costume, sure I agreed to that, but the man placed his hand around my lower waist/sacrum and that's when I felt wrong, I did not ask for that. Some people who go to anicons have very lewd thoughts and that flactuates even more when they go to these events because they are so used to the behaviours in anime they think it's fine in real life too. Disgusting.
The person claiming that tickling is sexual harassment is mental. If the bathroom thing actually happened and she actually exposed someone, that's a crime, with several witnesses. Yet, there's no mention of anyone pressing charges. Not to mention these people are technically her competitors, they have a monetary interest in painting her as a harasser. These things matter in looking at the whole picture, which basically paints her as someone who is handsy, which ADHD could easily exacerbate. But she doesn't seem like a predator. So not everyone is seeing her as some monster who assaults people. Better question: If this is really rampant at these conventions, people just hugging and tickling and grabbing butts and exposing each other, which, once again, is a crime, and "nobody is doing anything to stop it", isn't it possible that there is a reason they aren't reporting that crime? Maybe what you're seeing isn't a 'victim' so much as a willing participant who ends up spending the night in their "harasser's" hotel room, and isn't just broadcasting that out to the world. Personally I'd leave the justice seeking to the so called victim, they're the only person who can actually file the report anyway.
I feel like you guys are making the poor recipient of a non consensual butt pat a victim without even knowing if he is one. He might just think "Well that was odd." and then move on, completely forgetting it. I would be a little pissed if I was used as a talking piece for people to state how much of a victim I am.
You know, I see a lot of news videos everywhere, and none of them catch my attention because I often times can tell how biased the information is going to be. Then I see a Phili D video with the same stories and I click it, because I know that it's going to be honest and informative. Thanks man
Marc Shanahan she’s perfectly fine. If you listen Phil said that her personality is scripted and directed by her brother. Her parents are just using her.
That "apology" did not seem genuine. "Some people have vendettas" really?!? You exposed someones breast without consent. Not. Okay. Also yes Phil, you are a pretty pretty 👸👸
Women in general are less violent, less predatory, but that doesn't mean that women cannot sexually assault someone. Assault is assault, no matter who does it. It seems to me though that in many cases people genuinely don't understand that what they are doing is assault. This is why, as a society, we should have conversations about consent and boundaries.
I completely agree. This reminds me of how tickling can seem like harmless fun, but the person being tickled can often feel defenseless and uncomfortable.
Xhih Isn’t the very act of holding up your hand and yelling “high five!” a request? You can still choose to not do it, which is known as “leaving them hangin’.”
Xhih When your holding your hand out for a hand-shake that's asking permission, you don't just grab someone's hand. Just for an example of how your actually pretty wrong in your statement :P
Oh yeah, my college has posters around the campus that describes what type of touching is appropriate and inappropriate, and it ranks them based on Green, Yellow, and Red rules-like the traffic stop lights. Green (appropriate) is anything shoulders up: shoulder touches, head pats, and not done in a weird way. Yellow (gray area/must be close/depends on the person) would be the entire torso and back area. And Red (inappropriate) is anything from the waist down.
Momokun: "I get a little crazy sometimes." Wow. Raise your hand if you lived with an abusive person (spouse/partner/parent/sibling/etc) and they would rationalize their abuse of you with that very same sentence. (*raises hand*)
My little sister is a relatively popular cosplayer and although she doesn't watch you Phil I'll share something she has said on the topic of sexual harassment. When she really thought about it, she fears being touched by men and grabbed by them, but they rarely do so, and it's other women that constantly grope her or touch her inappropriately. But on the flip side, she never really thought about it as sexual harassment until I brought up this story. In my opinion, I think that our society for sure has a double standard about what we feel each gender can do and about how we treat invasions of personal space.
I barely care at all if I am at a bar and a hyper girl gets a bit handsy and flirty. It has never made me feel violated or threatened. To be honest when a ten year old boy that I babysat once touched my butt I simply said "no nonsense, brush your teeth and go to bed." What is the reason that I personally have this double standard? Physical strength. I am simply not that threatened by someone who I do not feel physically overpowered by. Not to mention that as a rule women are less aggressive than men and turning down a lesbian (only happened like twice) was more sympathetic than scary. It may not sound "even" but the double standard has an actual reason. Obviously women should act like respectful and mature adults and not grope people. I think part of the problem was no one reprimanded this girl so she went on thinking her behavior was cute and dandy.
Riv Racost That might be you, but people react differently. My girlfriend absolutely hates that from lesbians or even friends touching her. Lots of times man who grope woman in clubs or public transportation dont intent to be agressive, but rather are cowards who would never try that face to face and have to allways hide. That type of behavior is also unacceptable. I understand where you're coming from, but i dont it can explain everything.
@LG Risio Fact indeed. Growing up, I've always believed that women have a lot of power, beyond the obvious physical differences between us. Those that knew this weren't wasting their time on the internet but instead putting that power to use; the power of double standards.
Idk I've been listening to Peterson a lot, and one of the things that he says is to be precise in your speech Which I think is good advice But this controversy got me thinking Can it also be possible that our speech, as in the English language, isn't precise enough to encapsulate human emotions? I mean It really irrates me how people throw the words "sexual assault" around so casually. I mean, just because you were touched inappropriately doesn't now mean you're a victim And maybe "victim" would be the wrong word because you may not have necessarily felt threatened; at most it was an annoyance. And what about intent on the "perpetrator's" part? What if they didn't feel any sort of gratification in their actions, nor was that their goal for doing what they did? I mean, A romantic kiss and a friendly kiss aren't nearly the same thing even if the exact same actions are involved. Idk Not defending this lady, nor handsy women in general But I really don't like how everyone is screaming double standard when human interactions are much complicated than that Though I completely understand that sentiments
I've never met Momokin. But I have noticed from going to cons and staffing cons that people end up acting way out of appropriate behavior. They yell, get in people's personal space, whine when things don't go their way, ECT. There is no excuse for touching anyone inappropriately especially at a public venue. That apology was half assed and not genuine. She tried to deflect the problem on ADHD and on "haters". A real apology is in order.
I agree. I have been to many cons where fans will launch themselves at cosplayers in a bear hug and squeal. I think those people forget that there are real people underneath those costumes. This story doesn't surprise me, but I hope it sends a message to all fans to treat people with respect. They are people not toys.
As a person who met momokun back in 2010-2011. She is just not an offender but a bully. I was at the Las Vegas Age of Chivalry Renfaire and, had entered one of the guilds to catch up with some friends, there were 3 girls with cosplay wigs on at the time and miss Mariah sitting around the fire pit. The gates had just opened so it was still breakfast time in the guilds. I had asked the 3 ruffly new to the guild I am new into cosplay where can I buy good quality but, affordable wigs. So as we are talking about the love of anime Mariah glances over at one of the guild members that I had known at the time for 7-9 years and, makes a very rude comment saying these renfaire people need to stop buying such cheap skirts and, start making them by them selves. I kept my mouth shut because, as not only a member of the guild but, being the daughter of a clans elder it is wise not to start shit. She then forces some who is working to escort her to the privies aka bathroom. She leaves and I look at the 3 and go wtf. They said oh ignore her she is a perfectionist. I have to be on my best behavior at shows. This was my first impression. I didn't like her then and, I still don't like her now.
Uhhhh Momokun not being able to control her sexual touching is not due to ADHD. To claim that a symptom of ADHD is not being able to control yourself is harmful to the societies already damaged view of ADHD. People with ADHD have trouble keeping their attention on one thing because there attention is so many places at once (I would know, I’ve been diagnosed twice, with the innattentive version- ADD). What they do with their attention is the responsibility of the person, you don’t get to blame your control issues on something that doesn’t have to do with control... And idc if she feels like shes against sexual harassment/assault, I think she may be confused on what that actually is based on the videos that have been sharing of her touching people.
I had no idea who little Tay was. And I could have lived my whole life without knowing. Why the hell do people keep making ridiculous people famous? Stop! Why is Humanity so dumb. If she was a man he would be dragged and ruined. Career in the hole. Even if they had no evidence of any sexual assault. He would be attacked so badly. This double stranded is awful and should not be a thing.
Coushatta LaRue I think it was because she was a "fellow" cosplayer, so people would totally give leeway to that. (Additions- also I have never seen her, but it seems she's also hosting a show so it could have deterred more people to not saying anything for reasons that relate.)
I hope so, but it do seem like money and fame do make video celebrities care less. So if no one around her is teaching her how to behave, she will be logan paul matrial.
Highly doubt that in a day and age where you can become famous for simply posting photos of yourself online, nothing is too regrettable not even a sextape (as the person stated above) everything can make you a millionaire and sadly a billionaire no talent is needed
As an adult with ADHD I find it appalling that someone would try and use that as an excuse, I did that as a child and teenager. Some times I don’t always make the right decisions and that is influenced by my condition but never fully an excuse for my poor decisions.Ive developed strategies over the years thanks to therapy to aid me in trying to make better decisions. She’s only harming the community and worsening the stigma Of AADHD by trying to blame her cognitive impairment.
Harley Logan PREACH! I have ADHD and autism and while social cues can fly over my head, I instinctively knew to never touch someone without permission!! She is so full of it. While yes, I am more aware of sensations and thus hugs or hand holding are more “intense”. (More warm fuzzy feelings) I NEVER forced anyone to make contact with me. Even the times I knew my bestie needed a hug the most, I would only hold out my arms and tell her I’m there for her. I let HER decide if she wanted my hugs. I get the booty touching between flirty couples, but even then consent has to be given. She knows the boundaries and crossed them anyway because she knows being a female is written off as “friendly/cute”. It’s people like her that make me scared to invite my friends to cons or to cosplay because I don’t want them to have that happen to them. One of my friend wanted to cosplay a cute Neko girl and We agreed that I would be her lookout. If I looped my arm through hers and said to ‘come check this out’, it meant that there was a creep eyeballing her and to let me escort her. It was spontaneous contact but we AGREED to it being code prior. Thankfully I only had to “show her something” about 3 times that day. A nice Cosplay parent noticed a dude following us and approached the creep in the Dad way. That’s parenting done right!
Me to, I have adhd and Asperger Syndrome. I haven't really ever thought of grabbing someone's but and never have. But that doesn't mean someone else hasn't. There is a spectrum for a reason. I am completely anti social and can only talk through text. This girl seems incredibly outgoing, a little to outgoing. And while I've never thought to touch someone inappropriately I can't be around lighters or sharp objects because I have constant thoughts of hurting others. That's why I never leave my house to avoid hurting anyone.
It sounds more like no one ever told her using it as an excuse was the wrong approach when she was younger. Like you said, you did it as a kid. She probably did too, the difference was, people enabled her to do so. Now as an adult, she still thinks it's ok because no one called her out before.
To be honest, Momokun will just use whatever excuse she can dream up to shift blame away from herself, and ideally.to start ebegging because of ebul harassers online.
Oliver Sean my only complaint with what you're saying is that sexual agency and sexual assault are not the same. Sexual assault is about power not sex.
Oliver Sean i agree but, the whole double standards exist because males are physically superior to women. "why didn't he defend himself" etc etc. is what you get. it's all a bit too wild for me tbh. people go to the extremes on both sides, there's no compromise.
Look at this idiot who probably never even looked at the docs that the "wage gap" was born from... Seek help, re-educated yourself about the world outside of your PC circle
Septic Neuron lmao what are you talking about. If you’re American women are not denied equal pay unless they have some other benefits like work leave during pregnancy. Don’t talk shit about what you know nothing about.
So everybody's just gonna ignore the fact that she said "I'm very touchy with my FRIENDS" and tried to use ADD as an excuse? Like first of all, her highlighting the fact that she's touchy with *FRIENDS* is *COMPLETELY DIFFERENT* from strangers. I highly doubt she goes around and considers every stranger she encounters a friend. Second of all, while I know the symptoms and behaviours are different, I have BPD and I do NOT go around manipulating people. In case anybody is unaware, those of us with BPD are stigmatized to be manipulative which is *NOT* always true. I know ADD/ADHD and BPD don't compare but it's an example. In addition, I know people with ADD/ADHD who do *NOT* go around touching people just because they're *"excited."* They know better and I'm sure she does too. *Sexual assault ISN'T a symptom or corresponding behaviour of having ADD.*
I have ADD and when I was younger I hugged someone too much and when realizing they didn't like it, I apologized over and over and never hugged another person before asking. I don't go around sexually assaulting people.
I'm ADHD. Diagnosed at age 5. I'm now 19, maybe I would of done around 12 or 13, but quickly was taught not to do so. She's a grown adult, she knows better, she has enough life experience to know better. I seriously hope this doesnt put ADHD in a worse light than it is.
Ben Lewis~Agreed!! Some people simply doesn't want to be accountable for their behaviours. They wanna make excuses, justifications, and bare zero responsibility for themselves. If they can't control themselves, then they need to be in an institution so they can't harm others. Otherwise, it's all lame ass excuses.
The issue with Momokun is that she does seem to think she can just be 'handsy' with people and not respect their boundaries because, deep down, she knows she won't get in as much trouble cause she's a woman. The whole 'cosplay isn't consent' thing is used so broadly for guys, so plenty of the female creepers slip under the radar, like her. This goes to show that no one is above reproach, and yet, it's clear that no one cares as much because she's a woman. Round and round we go
Wait until someone calls her out on her shit and embarrasses her in front of a bunch of people. It's not that hard to do, cause a damn scene, people like Momokun need to be shamed.
Kurt Barekman If you are afraid to go outside because people aren't okay with you slapping their asses you should get help. It's not hard to not touch people.
Momokun never even apologised, she blamed her condition and then vendettas against her. If this was a man and allegations started to fly he would lose his job, his family, his house and his reputation. Yet I think Momokun will fly through this unscathed. There is a double standard yet a certain demographic refuse to acknowledge it. Am starting to feel that certain women really believe they should get a pass because of the history of abuse their gender has suffered.
If she get's through unscathed i think it's because she's an independent "creator" with a fan base already. Probably similar to Logan Paul, not necessarily because of their gender.
Takis Mp Sorry to break it to you, but that was not an apology. She blamed her actions on her ADHD and said that anyone who came forward with allegations did so because they had a "vendetta." That's not taking responsibility of the situation, that's acting like a child and blaming others for your actions
As someone who has been assaulted by both sexes, it’s almost worse to get it from a female. It’s a betrayal of trust and completely unexpected. If she were male, the story would’ve been bigger. If anyone I’m truly sorry to those affected. They are not getting the justice they deserve.
If Momokun cut out roughly 3/4ths of her "apology", it would have been decent. Saying "I am genuinely sorry to anyone who I hurt" while acknowledging that she wasn't respecting peoples boundaries, that's good. It doesn't excuse how she behaved, but it at least shows that she recognizes that what she did was wrong and that she is going to change. But then saying that her ADHD made her touch women inappropriately, and blaming her victims, claiming that they were only speaking out about this now because of "personal vendettas", that was really messed up. Also the end, where she makes a joke about it by saying she can't hug anyone, like... there is a difference between exposing a woman's breasts and slapping someone on the ass, and consensually hugging someone. I know it was (probably) a joke but it was in very poor taste given the situation she is in. The way she behaved was incredibly inappropriate and if it was a man, it would be such a huge story. It's such a double standard and it's really frustrating and messed up.
As a June test taker of the SAT I am outraged. My math score could have been so much higher (this was already my best math score on the SAT ever) and now I am stuck with a lower score. Collegeboard needs to rescore the test, not refund
It's quiet simple, keep your hands to yourself. Momokun seems to not understand boundaries. When she touched the guy from behind he genuinely seemed caught off guard. What happened to simply asking permission?
"hello excuse me sir, may i please grab your left buttocks?". I get that it may have been inappropriate for her to do, but I don't think it's a big deal. You are 100% right that she struggles with understanding personal boundaries, but that doesn't make it sexual assault. It's failing at upholding social norms. I don't think it's anything to be uninvited to a meet and greet for.
these boundaries are something that is found i the US. it seems like you guys want to be outraged about everything. also if she crossed the line. people should just privetly tell her that. did not happen. to do it this way seems very nasty.
I took the SAT in march and got a flat 1500. I wanted to take it in June but by the time I tried to sign up, there were no testing centers within 75 miles of me. I personally hope, therefore, that the SAT stands with their policy, because if the June test were easier, grading it to the same standard as say the March SAT would be cheating people such as myself, who wanted to take both tests but weren't able to. To me, its just been general knowledge that the SAT is scaled based off of difficulty, and people who didn't know that should learn the policys of the test that theyre paying to take. Thats just my two cents, I'm sure other people in other situations completely disagree.
Sekapoko she didn't do sexual assault even if it was a man. She did not use her power to hinder or manipulate someone's career she did not insinuate quid pro quo. She did not force the so-called victims to be silent and she did not hide any of these actions she did not threaten anyone at any point. No one ever told her no no one tried to stop her no one talked with her there are tons of people like her especially at Anime conventions I go to them all the time and I literally have to be completely b***** to people and tell them don't f****** touch me I don't know you I don't like being touched and then they will not touch me but those still Giggle and hang around me and try to be my best friend out of the blue. It's annoying but at no point did I see anyone telling her no or trying to stop her or telling her that they were uncomfortable or trying to be serious with her I saw people give her a weird look but after giving that weird look from an individual she didn't seem to touch them again. it's not sexual assault when many people could have told her at any point she was doing something wrong when any of the victims at any point could have come forward when at any point anyone in the public could have talked with her or intervened or even posted it before now. I am literally only going off the information that Phil has showed us. It does seem suspicious to me that everything is being brought up all of the sudden but I can also see it being reasonably a coincidence one person maybe you didn't like her or who felt very uncomfortable maybe they did want to stop her from being at this convention whether it was because she didn't think that it would be appropriate or whether she just did not like the cosplayer. and then I can see other people coming forward pretty much saying yeah she's creepy and weird and touchy but at no point did anyone ever tell her no and it must be very unnerving and upsetting to be accused all of a sudden of years of sexual assault on multiple people with multiple cases being brought up against you however no one did anything at any point and they had plenty of chances I understand victims come forward and stuff but it's kind of sad that people don't know how to communicate with strangers or even deal with being on a public transit it seems. It's sad when people are more comfortable getting onto customers who might be stealing or might be going into inappropriate places or anything of that nature or they'll fight with an irate customer and not give them a refund or even someone who's trying to commit fraud. But apparently were more comfortable dealing with those situations then telling someone don't touch me I don't know you or don't touch me I don't like being touched or even I don't know you like that don't touch me can people not think of something to say or even days after come forward about it talk about it with someone or even file a complaint. As I see it right now from Phil it's not sexual harassment. it's a girl being weird and touchy and no one ever told her to stop and all of a sudden people are realizing it could technically be sexual harassment but at no point did anyone ever stopped her in or implied that she was doing something that was seen as harassment yes you could it's a girl being weird and touchy and no one ever told her to stop and all of a sudden people are realizing it could technically be sexual harassment but at no point did anyone ever stopped her in or implied that she was doing something that was seen as harassment yes you could see weird it's a girl being weird and touchy and no one ever told her to stop and all of a sudden people are realizing it could technically be sexual harassment but at no point did anyone ever stopped her in or implied that she was doing something that was seen as harassment. She never entrapped anybody or force them to be silent.
Katea Jurors Pulling a girls top down and exposing her breast without her consent is considered sexual harassment Pulling the handle of a foreign object in another girl scratch without her consent is sexual harassment Open a woman or touching her breasts in general without her consent is considered sexual harassment if you don’t know what sexual-harassment is my suggestion is for you to get the nearest dictionary and look it up
I took the SAT in June and did not know about this curve until now. I took the test specifically to improve my math score from the first time I took it, and after waiting several weeks (the ACT reported scores a few weeks earlier despite being held later) my score did not change. I was heartbroken because I felt like I had done much much better and still fell short of where I wanted to be. It’s not just $65, it’s all the time studying and the full Saturday morning stressing about how this determines so much of your future.
she didn't use it as an excuse. she used it as a reason to why she might have acted like that. and since you apparently have adhd, you should know it's a spectrum. we all have different experiances with it. so stop acting like it's just one thing that only does a set thing.
toste It's true we all experience ADHD differently, but that's not common knowledge outside of the ADHD community. And even *if* that excused her actions (which it doesn't) people tend to apply one bad example of someone in a particular group or community to all members. No one wants or needs another negative stereotype attached to them. It's probably not going to happen, but it's possible given how news -- real and fake -- is quickly created and consumed.
they should rescale it. honestly, a lot of juniors took the june sat for their early decision college applications. the august exam registration is closed, and october may be too late.
Lil Tay is just a child, I really hope her mother makes sure she simply get to just enjoy being a kid. Oh man, the power of social media. Hope to see he turn into a wonderful human being someday and learn from her childhood. Such nonsense
TJandFriends Nope it's gonna be another Bregoli situation. Some little caucasian kid becomes famous for doing stuff minorities have been doing for years smh.
Danny Yep. According to the FBI, if a woman takes a machete and forces her ex boyfriend to have sex with her while threatening his life, that is not rape.
The fact that hyper-privileged 1st world women (especially white women) aren't actually oppressed doesn't stop them from constantly crying about how hard they think their little lives are and what poor little victims they are of the big bad "patriarchy'"
I'm just adding to this and saying it's hilarious that PDS put out a video before she even got the guts to post her "apology" video (even though it's been like 2 weeks)
Thanks for mentioning this SAT stuff. I was shocked when I received a 1260 after getting a 1360 on a practice SAT and doing 9 weeks of tutoring. Now I know why.
I actually think she's just going to be a sad and confused girl/teen, not necessarily a brat. You can see in videos where the gig isn't on that she just seems sad and overwhelmed and like she's not really sure what to do with herself. Yeah, she was still bratty in the Today interview, but a camera was on and she was still sorta playing "Lil Tay". I think whenever you see her just being a regular 9yo, she's just sad and quiet and sometimes looks afraid (especially when people have found her just on the street). She doesn't clap back or get all wild like that woahvickyy girl or whatever her name is. I think she's just gonna be lost and depressed and find herself in a mess of mental health issues. :(
she doesn't want that life. but her mom and brother are forcing her to do it. they're profiting off of her. she is only 9, she doesn't know what is happening
Justin Chisaki. Even if you're joking you should still think before you speak. They are positive aspects of black or african american culture that are possitive. This is mostly rap culture even if it were black people who gave the world rap, you should also remeber that rap back then was about issues and made more sense compared to today's rap culture that is complete trash in my opinion.
CollegeBoard: We are a non profit. Also CollegeBoard: 841 million dollars revenue in 2014. Me, an intellectual: then send me to college for free please 🙃
What Momokun does isn't so much "cosplay" as pose for softcore porn photos. Not surprising that she has trouble understanding personal space or consent. Also, that ADHD excuse she throws out there is a load of bs. Just because you are hyperactive, absent minded or impulsive that doesn't justify touching someone else inappropriately...
Supernova71288 thats the thing she does understand consent in the past she used to complain about people touching her without consent. But its ok if she is the one that does it.
Madison Waycaster having any mental health issues isn't and excuse for your actions, you need to take personal responsibility for your actions. I hate it when people use their mental health as a shield to protect themselves, this part of the reason why there is a stigma around it.
please read my comment again, I never said you were excusing it, I agreed and added my personal disdain for people who use it to protect themselves from consequences for their actions
Okay I have ADHD and I don’t run around groping people. That’s not an excuse. Yes symptoms of ADHD are things like unrestlessness and sometimes not having a verbal filter, but if you take even a second to treat people with respect it’s not a problem.
In response to Momokun sexually harrassing people at conventions, I do not care how many followers they have. If anyone puts their hands on me and they don't have my permission to do so, they can expect me to slap them. I've been going to conventions for almost a decade and have been groped several times. I have told them to stop, pushed their hands away and I've even slapped someone who grabbed my breast unapologetically
The whole thing about double standards is that they're wrong and unfair. Most of them are things that are more common for one group to do while the other's usually a victim, like hitting someone. The most obvious example is a man hitting a woman. If a woman hits a man it's not ok for him to defend himself or hit her back because he'll be seen as an abuser, basically just because she's a woman and he's a man, while a woman could defend herself without being immediately seen as an abuser. The sexual assault thing works the same way. It's mostly men that actually commit sexual assault (with women being the primary targets), but that doesn't mean a woman can't sexually assault someone just because it's an uncommon occurrence. Imagine (if you're a girl) if some random guy touched you inappropriately without asking, that's definitely is sexual assault/harassment. But for some reason if it's a woman who's touching someone, especially if the person being touched is a man, it's not anywhere near as bad and most likely won't even be seen as sexual assault or harassment. Yeah, it's more likely for it to be a man touching someone without their permission, but why is a woman doing the same disgusting things as a man seemingly not as bad?
1320crusier how so? My understanding is that it represents where you stand in large population of people who are expected to know a given set of skills and knowledge. It does not inherently demonstrate absolute understanding but relative understanding to you and your peers. However, this is from what I remember for like four years ago.
If one must grade that on a curve, there is something wrong with it. Quantifying human knowledge is difficult and the SAT's seem to not actually be that good at iit. Tests in general arent.
Kellen McInerny yeah I think standardized testing is fundamental to an extent however the college board aka the SAT AND act in my opinion are very flawed Because in the end the business is a money hungry corporation with expensive tests that you have to retake like a lot just to do well on It’s also because the questions themselves don’t test your ability to answer them but more so they’re trick questions Don’t even get me started on subject tests which I think are SO unnecessary in the end they’ exist as another money grabbing opportunity I’ve had to take the tests several times I did fine and my friends got close to perfect In a regular classroom all of us do very well in English, math, writing etc For example I just graduated from IB which is a international standardized high school curriculum, and I did well in English math etc, yet despite that being standardized, the questions on the act and sat , I can’t do well in except if I keep paying to take the exam. My friends and I, we all had to retake and buy courses to study the SAT and ACT because the tests are just that weird and hard The way they’re also designed and the upsurd expectations that unis have with those marks are just very mind boggling to me Anyway, four years ago I believe it wasn’t that different but I guess you had a better experience than I did 😂
1320cruiser The idea of a standardized test isn't new or particularly bad. It's much more accurate than using grades. I've taken the test and it's less about knowledge and more so about your proficient on foundational knowledge. Everything in the SAT you should theoretically be able to solve given your grade level.
Thanks for tuning in ya Beautiful Bastards! Let me know what you thought of today's show and what stories you want me to cover in the future.
Philip DeFranco hi do you think you can talk about the sex ed reforms in Ontario due to the recent provincial elections?
Thank you for making all these videos everyday one of the few thingz I look forward to and it's always nice to see the different points of view storys thank you
Can lil tay just go away already?
TH-cam fearing Twitch, by deleting creators that promote going to it's site in videos.
Imagine, if they did that to Ninja.
2:36 and yes YT is trolling their creators, time to do something actually about it, ie by like getting a bunch of top level TH-camrs together to counter this.
Philip DeFranco plz don’t watch the show let this shit died already
I was in the “guinea pig” generation where we were the first ever group of students who took the SAT’s that involved the forced essay with the beta grading system and there was no metric to calculate our quarter point penalty for guessing incorrectly and our scores suffered immensely... It felt like the biggest scam in the world and I couldn’t believe our standardized test that determines how universities select us could be so arbitrary... we were also prepped incorrectly as well as there were no teachers or tutors that have ever seen the new test styles before... I can’t believe 13 years later I’m still fuming over how fucked the American higher education system is and STILL paying back my student loans 😑
im on academic probation cuz i was making my beat tape lul. chegg it soundcloud.com/adb1036/sets/tfc
Reina Scully I've even had teachers saying it sucks and they even know ways to kinda cheat it
Same girl. Same.
I'm a high school senior now and my generation has been a guinea pig generation for our entire lives
Man that sucks. Hope you resolve it, wish you the best
Yeah... ADHD doesn’t make you touch people without consent... not how that works.
Sasha W yes! Bad mental health is shitty but is in no way an excuse to be terrible to other people
Meg Alyssa I agree with you on the point that ADHD does not cause people to touch others with out consent. With that said though, as someone who has struggled with ADHD and Asperger's Syndrome, two thoughts come into my mind:
1) If on the chance she is using ADHD as shield herself from some of the criticism, then I would have to say that is a sorry excuse and she needs to know that is neither appropriate or acceptable thing to do.
I just wanted hug everyone.'
She needs to take responsibility for her actions.
I hate momokun with a passion. She's a fraud!
Just imagine those words being spoken by a man, he'd be lynched
True she can take responsibility by allowing them to sexually her back
Mari Akutsu S H E S A T H O T
If a male did ANY of the things the cosplayer did he would be cancled and CRUCIFIED for blaming it on ADHD and saying any of the things in the "apology"
iSSYBOO13 it does seem like she is getting lots of backlash though. As someone with ADHD, I am pleased. ADHD doesn't mean you can't stop yourself from groping other people!
Il Al
If it were a man, he would resieve backlash from EVERYONE tho and the story would be in the news, a Twitter moment and he would be crucified from the earth but since its a woman people are mad yes, but not nearly as mad as they would be if it were a female
Pluto :
I found the sexist
I know several people with ADHD and none of them have ever gone around touching people like that or making anyone feel uncomfortable. What a terrible excuse
That’s not even remotely true. If a man slaps his male friend on the ass, everyone just laughs. Nobody gets crucified. It’s literally half the premise of Jackass or Nitro Circus or whatever MTV bro-bro show out there
As a high school teacher I think the College Board is doing a massive disservice to students. I’m glad the ACT is rising in popularity.
The Enthusiasm Project It’s more streamlined and less BS than the SAT. Instead of Having to do Math I followed by Reading I and then Math II (for example), the ACT just gives one section for each subject, which makes more sense.
My school was dumb and switched to the sat the same year I was taking it.
I did quite well, too.
where do you live? here in the midwest the ACT is much more popular
theres undoubtedly a double standard between men and women when sexual assault is at the heart of the matter
_Lil NotOkay._
i swear i've been seeing you everywhere these days, powahslap. do you watch fact fiend or door monster?
PowahSlap Entertainmint : Oh God, you're everywhere.. 😐
Justin Chisaki She's Asian?
oh god not you again
Justin Chisaki. One step closer to being one happy interracial family lol
A lot of people try to brush this kind of thing off in general because that couldn't have been on purpose right?
niccceeeeeee
I still don’t understand how College Board is a non-profit/not for profit. They make so much money and pay little tax. Despicable.
How do they make money? Because if you don't explain that then how can you say they aren't a non-profit?
Caramel Jesus Non-profit doesn’t mean the company doesn’t make profit. It just means that it has no owners or stock, and has to use its profits in the company. A non-profit is not charity, as many people seem to think.
Caramel Jesus Non-profit does not mean no income. They make money same way Pearson and other similar companies do
Not sure if it varies state to state but here a non profit business just has to put 60% of profits back into the business. The other 40%? They can do whatever they want. Swimming pools of money if they so choose
College board just like Pearson are disgusting monopolies that charge 100s of dollars just so you can do your homework.
That Japanese nurse thing sounds like a horror movie plot.
yep. The big climax would be because someone who was investigating her or a family member had to know the motive and at the end she just says: "I mean its awkward having to break the news right?"
One hell of a twisted WTF ending.
And if it was people would complain that her motivations for committing the murders are stupid.
nfzeta yakuza anyone
More like Jigoku Shoujo plot
People forgot the #MeToo movement works on both genders, true equality means everyone is held accountable for sexual assault.
Isnt that what the momokun story was about?
I mean, didn't yesterday show a tweet of someone claiming men shouldn't try to take part in the #metoo movement and act as victims? lol. But yeah, the person that tweeted that is ignorant.
Is it though? Because I am not seeing enough support for Terry Crews
Me too does not work both ways, in fact in a lot of ways it does not work at all, only a few of the people that was tagged in that are ever actually victems and few people accused by it actually did anything wrong
It's just a witch hunt campaign
Thyran Gumm that's mainly because of he's Terry crews he's known for being a strong boi so it's a lot more played down
Momokun's situation isn't a "result of" ADHD... it's a case of Arrested Development, plain and simple.
She has repeatedly presented 'her original character', and it can be disproven with a little google-fu
THis woman is a cancer in the cosplay scene
@1 2 Apply anything Momokun has done to a MAN doing it to a woman. Is it "minor boundary issues" now? No? Then same thing for Momokun. Her having a vagina is not an excuse.
Phil is the prettiest of princesses.
the prettiest pretty princess
That threw me off I wasn't expecting him to say that
That's new. What story did he not cover today that put that line in his head? Or maybe it was just researching all the cosplay.
MissLilyputt That sentence will never die
Phil is best girl
Don't worry...I trust Logan Paul to do something dumb within the next 24 hours to put the spotlight back on him.
RedTeamReview When's the next upload? I miss sitting down and watching your vids.
RedTeamReview he probably is already planning it as we speak
RedTeamReview How've you been?
@YamiAlex224 I'd like to think he is in a evil lair somewhere doing just that
@The Dark Lord I'm good thanks for asking.
@TheAshenNamedJerry Hopefully soon. I wish I could make TH-cam my full-time job like Phil buuut I can't just yet. Thank you for being a fan though!
I hope not, I can't stand seeing Logan everywhere.
Thank you for covering Momokun. I covered her on my channel hoping to get the word out, so I’m grateful for this coverage. Cosplay is not consent and that applies to both genders!
Just wanna add that as many has pointed out sexual assault is not a symptom of ADHD
hey I learn about Momo-kun from you guys because "Anime America" rocks
Oh sweet! It's you guys!
It's not but doing things without thinking is a symptom of ADHD
the problem I have with Momo-kun is that...
Tokyo Arrow from what I understand honor and tradition is very prominent in Asia. Alot of added stress to everyday life
I know the culture is big on politeness, but you do your medical job or quit.
She could change her name and make a drastic physical change and avoid the name lil tay like the plague.
Roberto Blake well said Roberto. This is what happens when ignorance is glorified on social media
So Lil Tay is basically a try not to cringe challenge?
So how hard did you fail that one?
Because I'm pretty sure I cringed to the forty-seventh power.
I can't belive her mother let her do this....
Jexolour her mom is the one making the money I’m sure so...
I lost.
You mean to tell me it wasn't already?
She was so dismissive. “No hugs” “no kisses maybe a glance” just admit you were inappropriate
Those are already nearly banned, so I mean, that's not far removed from reality already.
Krystal Fabes She already admitted to that prior lol
or maybe you could leave that up to the people harassed if they want to press charges or not
Pulling someone's top down and slapping the butt of someone you just met (or an unsuspecting stranger) is NOT "getting a little handsy with friends".
I cant choose who's excuse was worse, they are both so bad
Lol she's (in)famous for a bunch of other stuff too
prettyuglylittleliar.net/topic/1639-mariah-mallad-momokun-cosplay/
+Jess Yeah, I apologize for going a bit too far. Either way, she has no excuses for her actions
for starters, the condescending tone will get you nowhere lol, secondly no one here said that groping someone was the same as rape but ok. I'm not even sure what you're trying to say?? accept what?? why did you put accept in quotation marks lol??
no I don't know what your point is bc in your haste to try look superior you've not made any sense?? and no I'm not googling anything either when you can just explain what you're talking about properly
nafia morris that they are white?what's your damn point
well I'm glad you're talking about Momokun bc women sexual predators really aren't talked about enough.
I agree with equating when done right; is a good way to caught people that are just guessing and being lucky over hardworking kids - but with such a harsh curve on some cases I find hard to believe they did their jobs correctly.
Or we can just remove the entire testing system because its random
The whole Lil Tay thing as a mother really upsets me. I hope she'll make it through this and come out mentally okay it's just not right.
Let's all pray for Lil Tay
Same :( these are crucial years in a young girl's life developmentally. Her mother's negligence can ruin this little lady forever.
Did her brother make her say these things
she'll be dead before 18 form suicide after she sees her own videos after she hits puberty and develops self-conscience
Katy Santiago if that's the case, her Parent needs to whoop the shit out of both of them and make sure they never touch anything with a camera until they are 18yo.
what made momokun's video even worse is she tried to play it off like the girls coming forward about her assaulting them have a vendetta against her.
OpposingForces 🤕💀👽👽
OpposingForces yeah I noticed she started pulling a keemstar, “I thought we were friends!!!1!1”
How do you know they don't?
You do know that most cosplayers with a following often take commissions on the down low right? They're literally her competitors and have a monetary incentive to make her less desirable for customers.
FredrickTesla but it’s not only cosplayers who she assaulted.. you saw her grab that mans ass and there are more stories with non-cosplayers.
"I'm moving bricks!". Is that what toy blocks are called now?
Commendations are in order this was a good joke...

Standardized tests are the dumbest thing. They measure how well you can memorize and/or be coached on how to take a test. Literally useless the moment you get accepted to any college.
GCAT01 Living
Aren't all tests about memorization?
bone rat
"A good test challenges your critical thinking..."
You know who say that?/
Lazy people.
There are two.things a test should measure.
Inherent intelligence, and diligence.
A good way to do that is to require both formulas, AND logica thinking.
This coincides with how IQ is split up to fluid and crystallized intelligence.
They are even more useless if u go to an art school
actually, spain changed 2 years ago its education system, one of the changes was chaning normal tests to Standarized ones, and believe me, the quality Dropped from a cliff.
I mean what she did do is fucking disgusting and below any sane person.... so all I am saying is not to like say "pottentionally she could have" and more say this is what we are positive she did and she should be punished accordingly
considering she confessed to murder she is getting life at least, so good news there. Only bummer is Japanese courts are slow.
Zoutheina Abbas her thinking "oh no it's too inconvenient inform a dead patient's family, i think ill just kill them myself"
Zoutheina Abbas she cold blooded they life barely living was a burden on her what a savage narcissist
I had no idea crossing the line sexually would be caused by ADHD. I have this, my child does and my sister in law does. Don’t remember inappropriate touching EVER
Alexander Towery same here
Seems feasible if she isn't being properly medicated.
It impacts everyone differently. For someone with ADHD it seems you don't know very basic pillar of the condition
Not "okay", but it would definitely mean she's not the monster she's being portrayed as.
I don't care if it's a man or a woman, a predator is a predator. Both the genders should be treated equally in cases like this
I mean yes, but the described behaviour doesn't seen "predatory" more like her idea of comedy is Amy Schumer....
Look... there's no excuse for tearing someone's clothes off in public.
Wow, that’s fucking crazy man.. I wonder if they were always like that, or if they became that way after working there....
Women can be predators too
Sew joyful
I don't understand how telling at someone for vaping is considered "pedophilic," specially if that person is 18, and thus, legally, an adult.
Sew joyful
ok lemi explain the context since it when over ppl heads.
you see a random van block block a young person and start talking to them.
if person was a man, would you assume it was predator?
being 18 isn't a magic number that means any sex is ok, or claim adults can't be kidnapped and raped.
there is a double standard people think women don't abuse, but claim men is abusive.
Azura Moonstar
Well for me that all depends on the context.
Sew joyful hair oop
I'm loving these new "Loose Phil" outros
that outtro was your best outtro ever
I ♥️ ur work
Hey Lol yea 😍😍
illymation thank you for pointing it out otheriwise i wouldve missed this gold lol
pretty pretty princess
Momokun also cosplay as a character from a hentai and claimed its her "OC", which it isn't. Not only that, but cosplay Kanna from Dragon Maid, but not in a good way. She lewd the dragon loli... You don't lewd the dragon loli
Ponyboy John
How do you cosplay hentai characters anyway?
"Look, I'm not wearing the exact same clothes [insert hentai character] wasn't wearing."
"This is not an octopus costume, it's a tentacle monster."
Seems a little bit silly.
Now, I know Momokun has done some dumb (and inexcusable) shit, but to this day I still don't understand why people got so butthurt over a grown woman cosplaying (as sexual as it was) as Kanna.
There is an unmistakable difference between "a grown-ass woman dressing up as a fictional character" and "a 2D dragon-loli."
As far as I'm concerned, her so-called "lewding the dragon loli" is far from the worst thing she's probably done. I mean, there was even a snippet in the show itself where Kanna was "lewded," so technically Momokun was hardly the first to lewd her anyway.
Then again, you can feel free to take my opinion with a grain of salt. After all, even after watching Dragon Maid and being fully aware of how adorable Kanna was, my first thought that came to mind when I first saw Momokun cosplaying her wasn't, "She lewded the dragon loli," it was "I gotta tap dat ass."
To be clear, I don't really care for her all that much currently. I used to follow her, but I fell out after hearing about the shit she's done.
I quite honestly have NO idea what you just said... What is an "O.C" and what in the HELL does "lewding" a dragon or whatever mean????
lucy. Chronically Ch/ill
OC is short for original character, a character you created yourself.
Christopher Savignon you actually can...dumbass
One of the biggest issues with believing that Momokun is genuine is that this isn't the first time she's fallen into hot water. She's been accused of stealing designs for her cosplay, not crediting the artists, and has a laundry list of other terrible things she's done. I'm with the accusers on this one and I do hope that the backlash keeps going, mostly cause I want her to FUCKING LEARN! I want her to really take a moment and examine what she has done and be better.
Tallguy She's also been known for being horribly racist and telling people to go kill themselves when she gets in petty arguments
Hopefully with more people informed about it, a change can be made
My friend got a 1450 and freaked out for days. It's like his mind was exploding from the inside.
coincidentally I got a 1450 in march. I was hoping to get to at least 1500 with this june exam but thanks to the "equating" I ended up with a 1390.
Like are u guys for real? The test was simplier so ofc your score will be lower.
ckowkay no u did worse on an easier exam. Thats all that happened.
The exam difficulty was outside of test takers' control. Why should they be punished because college board decided to make the exam easy?
I hate college board's monopoly on education
Who doesn't?
Aitisham Aslam time to tear it down. Change some legislation to make cheap online learning a legit way to get an education
My proctor jokingly talked about how he couldn't wait for us to bow down to our robot overlords, so we'd forget about CollegeBoard, lmao.
why? explain you're opinions, otherwise they're useless.
Hey good to know that you actually still shows in my feed, not needing to search up. Keep up the good work.
Ask first.
Correct I gave adhd and I don’t ever use it as an excuse for anything but focusing. My behavior is mine. I wish she would valid concerns.
Sideshow The Game Freak Look at this tweet (Phil didn't include it in the video):
twitter.com/dangrrrdoll/status/1014908675998093313/photo/1
She pushed a microphone up against a girl's genitals with no warning.
Sideshow The Game Freak The thing is, even if it's playing on her part, if the other person is not ok with it, it's sexual harassment.
I'll never forget when I was preparing for the SAT, is went to an after school practice session and the teacher there began with this:
Know your enemy.
*clicks next slide in the powerpoint*
THE COLLEGE BOARD
Screw their monopoly on education. It cost 15-25 bucks just to send your AP scores from a $98 test to your college. Ridiculous
HenryTheGod
Wtf
They're tripping..
*The American Education System needs to be burned to the ground.*
The only thing that would be recognized by a 200-year-old person is the school system
Amen
Omg I took the June sat and hate everything
Daniel Chavez Revuelta
Wait wait tests cost money. Here in Australia they're free. I'm so confused.
"Yeah I graduated college"
"Who's the first president"
"Uhhh...."
That's a factor anyway. People get hyped up, carried away and do dumb stuff. Frankly usually pretty tame, but still dumb.
Brianna she got banned from them so lol
IceQueen975 I mean we gotta victimise women all the time, right? We women supposedly must hate on the whole 'Damsel in Distress' thing according to feminists but they're the first ones to victimise themselves and paints women as damsels in need of rescuing from the patriarchy.
@Chicken Nugget Exactly. It's why I refuse to be a feminist and am an egalitarian instead.
I could have lived my life without learning about Liltay.
R T Well said! Why isn't someone seriously looking at her mom's parenting of Liltay?
Harassing people isn't a symptom of ADHD. And honestly, your mental illness or learning disability or any condition should never be an excuse for hurting somebody else. Period. But personally, as someone with ADHD, I'm peeved. But I've been to three anime conventions and seen tons of similar behaviour, I was kissed by a random at a convention without my permission in a photo. Let's just say it wasn't enjoyable or appreciated. I don't think she's an isolated incident whatsoever.
mademoisellesss error schizophrenia is a mental illness that can be a direct cause of hurt though
mademoisellesss I had a man come up and ask to take a photo with me in my costume, sure I agreed to that, but the man placed his hand around my lower waist/sacrum and that's when I felt wrong, I did not ask for that.
SnakingIvY still not an excuse
I feel like you guys are making the poor recipient of a non consensual butt pat a victim without even knowing if he is one.
He might just think "Well that was odd." and then move on, completely forgetting it. I would be a little pissed if I was used as a talking piece for people to state how much of a victim I am.
"Sorry I raped them, I have-" *looks at writing on hand* "dyslexia."
You know, I see a lot of news videos everywhere, and none of them catch my attention because I often times can tell how biased the information is going to be. Then I see a Phili D video with the same stories and I click it, because I know that it's going to be honest and informative. Thanks man
If someone doesn't get Lil Tay some serious therapy, she'll be half-dead and probably toothless in 10 years.
Marc Shanahan good
Marc Shanahan she’s perfectly fine. If you listen Phil said that her personality is scripted and directed by her brother. Her parents are just using her.
Nikolas Ransom okay but there's videos of her brother pressuring her into smoking a hookah.. they're exploiting a child
rosalyn that’s exactly what I mean. Sorry if that wasn’t clear
Nikolas Ransom that is totally not fine.
This reminds me of how tickling can seem like harmless fun, but the person being tickled can often feel defenseless and uncomfortable.
how do you know that?
Momokun: "I get a little crazy sometimes."
Wow. Raise your hand if you lived with an abusive person (spouse/partner/parent/sibling/etc) and they would rationalize their abuse of you with that very same sentence.
(*raises hand*)
Those lil tay clips at the beginning of the video were so hard to watch
I cringed so hard
@LG Risio
Fact indeed.
Growing up, I've always believed that women have a lot of power, beyond the obvious physical differences between us. Those that knew this weren't wasting their time on the internet but instead putting that power to use; the power of double standards.
True, it does not explain everything.
Idk
I've been listening to Peterson a lot, and one of the things that he says is to be precise in your speech
Which I think is good advice
But this controversy got me thinking
Can it also be possible that our speech, as in the English language, isn't precise enough to encapsulate human emotions?
I mean
It really irrates me how people throw the words "sexual assault" around so casually.
I mean, just because you were touched inappropriately doesn't now mean you're a victim
And maybe "victim" would be the wrong word because you may not have necessarily felt threatened; at most it was an annoyance.
And what about intent on the "perpetrator's" part?
What if they didn't feel any sort of gratification in their actions, nor was that their goal for doing what they did?
I mean,
A romantic kiss and a friendly kiss aren't nearly the same thing even if the exact same actions are involved.
Idk
Not defending this lady, nor handsy women in general
But I really don't like how everyone is screaming double standard when human interactions are much complicated than that
Though I completely understand that sentiments
Japanese Nurse: “ Cant inform family that their relative is dead if I kill them myself” *points to head*
666melodeath666 yep
*Don’t trust anyone, not even yourself*
Ash
Ash which videos are you talking about may I ask?
Thanks Philp for your coverage, good level headed discussion, keep up the good work.
Coushatta LaRue agreed baby.
Double standards are real
Either that or elected President. One of the two.
There is a Truckload of children with unsupervised access to the internet, nobody talks about it and stories like this go viral seem after week.
Coushatta LaRue I think it was because she was a "fellow" cosplayer, so people would totally give leeway to that.
(Additions- also I have never seen her, but it seems she's also hosting a show so it could have deterred more people to not saying anything for reasons that relate.)
Lil Tay is gonna regret all of this one day. lol
In an age where someone did a sex tape and become a billionaire I don't think so.
Ron Nie self made billionaire. Get it right gosh!!
The sad truth is is that with the way society is going i don't think this is gonna be the case
THANK YOU! I am seething in anger. Its hard enough to explain ADHD ADD without people chiming in as 5 minute experts. This shit does not help.
If momolun was a man, there wouldn’t only be tweets... there would be court cases
Agree
Yeah, Momo-Kun is creepy and what she did was inexcusable.
It is a blatant double-standard.
Oliver Sean I 100% agree with everything you said.
Oliver Sean my only complaint with what you're saying is that sexual agency and sexual assault are not the same. Sexual assault is about power not sex.
She is being talked about RIGHT NOW because it is not a double standard. It's not okay what she did and she's being called out for it.
Oliver Sean i agree but, the whole double standards exist because males are physically superior to women. "why didn't he defend himself" etc etc. is what you get. it's all a bit too wild for me tbh. people go to the extremes on both sides, there's no compromise.
Pachice being called out and the consequences are not the same. If a man did that he be sitting in jail
If a guy did what that cosplayer did he'd be crucified online.
Dante then banned from all cons for a good minute.
LG Risio that too. I completely forgot.
Look at this idiot who probably never even looked at the docs that the "wage gap" was born from... Seek help, re-educated yourself about the world outside of your PC circle
Dante just stated a fact, though.
Ben Lewis AGREED. I have BPD as well. And do not manipulate people.
Would love to see how it would play out if a Man tried to use her excuses!
LMFAO!
PATHETIC SJW CUCKS!!!
Sitting here on Tuesday in Australia waiting for the American Monday episode
Its usually up at 8am here whats going on Phil!
According to Phil on Twitter, they just finished it.
Lil tay is getting a TV show...
why?
WHY!?
You know why.
DunnoKnowles well she's only nine so she shares the same mental age as other politicians and famous people
pretty sure she is canadian
It's before the whole scandal thing
To make the few remaining intellects kill themselves.
If you're a guy, and you dont want her to touch you, you're straight up GAY, son. You just dont know it yet....
Scorch428 Or you're a normal person with preferences, or you just don't want to be touched.
She did apologise. Did you even watch the video?
AnimeEnTranced
it a gender thing, Most ppl don't see women as sexual abusers.

Jennifer A the tickling seems ok since no one ever says ok to tickling since it will just defeat the purpose
"Infamous cosplayer asks to 'grab ass' of convention attendee"
"hello excuse me sir, may i please grab your left buttocks?".
I get that it may have been inappropriate for her to do, but I don't think it's a big deal. You are 100% right that she struggles with understanding personal boundaries, but that doesn't make it sexual assault. It's failing at upholding social norms. I don't think it's anything to be uninvited to a meet and greet for.
these boundaries are something that is found i the US. it seems like you guys want to be outraged about everything. also if she crossed the line. people should just privetly tell her that. did not happen. to do it this way seems very nasty.
She's gonna go back to doing the same shit all over again once the heat dies down.
Since moving to your new studio the audio on your channel seems more 'distant and edit l echoey' otherwise, love the channel.
Holy shit. It's like a 9 year old Ricegum...
Pin me, daddy!
VelociFaptor it's so much worse
More like a 21 year old Ricegum....haha!
I call upon the mystic powers of iDubbbz to vanquish this beast. All hail glorious Ian!
Charles Smoot Here here! All hail!
never heard that one before...
SAT problem is Horrific.
Commenting on Liltay would only be speculation.
Momokin is predator but the double standard is definitely protecting her.
www.thepetitionsite.com/644/057/879/june-22018-sat-curve/
Is it still a double standard if a coach slaps the ass of his players? And gets away with it?
Katea Jurors Pulling a girls top down and exposing her breast without her consent is considered sexual harassment
Pulling the handle of a foreign object in another girl scratch without her consent is sexual harassment
Open a woman or touching her breasts in general without her consent is considered sexual harassment if you don’t know what sexual-harassment is my suggestion is for you to get the nearest dictionary and look it up
Who are the 2 million followers is my question... smh.
Kaysha youtube bots its always this way. just like catchmeoutside chick. all planned for the cash
As a person with ADHD, hearing Momokun use it as an excuse is infuriating
she didn't use it as an excuse. she used it as a reason to why she might have acted like that. and since you apparently have adhd, you should know it's a spectrum. we all have different experiances with it. so stop acting like it's just one thing that only does a set thing.
toste adhd person here! having adhd doesnt excuse sexual assault, nor is it a reason. it never is. be quiet. :) !
toste she DID use it as a fucking excuse. Saying "it's a spectrum" still doesn't fucking excuse sexually assaulting multiple people at MULTIPLE cons.
toste It's true we all experience ADHD differently, but that's not common knowledge outside of the ADHD community. And even *if* that excused her actions (which it doesn't) people tend to apply one bad example of someone in a particular group or community to all members.
No one wants or needs another negative stereotype attached to them. It's probably not going to happen, but it's possible given how news -- real and fake -- is quickly created and consumed.
I think the next test should be free for the SATs
Price gouging and targeting to create a state where you pay to play until they give you the scores you want.
All test to get into any form of schooling should be free, paying 160-180 if late 220 for a lsat was terrible
I have to take it next month :(((
they should rescale it. honestly, a lot of juniors took the june sat for their early decision college applications. the august exam registration is closed, and october may be too late.
Lil Tay is just a child, I really hope her mother makes sure she simply get to just enjoy being a kid. Oh man, the power of social media. Hope to see he turn into a wonderful human being someday and learn from her childhood. Such nonsense
Slappy TRUTH sad
TJandFriends Nope it's gonna be another Bregoli situation. Some little caucasian kid becomes famous for doing stuff minorities have been doing for years smh.
Matthew Morrison I mean, she's Asian but... 😂
TJandFriends Such a kind comment. Bless. Turn back now before the internet turns you into me.
TJandFriends If she was true asian she would be very successful and kind girl but unfortunately she has been Americanized
Omg I love the new set, haven't caught up since the move but wow turned out better than I thought!!!
That little girl ... it hurts to watch and hurts even more that her parents allow this
tylerdragon00 not just allow, they tell her to do it
Parents using their children as merchandise, nothing unusual today but regrettable.
👏CHILD👏PROTECTIVE👏SERVICES👏DO👏YOUR👏THING👏
tylerdragon00 she should be a robin
Well after the mother got fired for inappropriate property usage they need the money.
Thanks for speaking about that momokun BS. I am sick about those double standards
Danny Yep. According to the FBI, if a woman takes a machete and forces her ex boyfriend to have sex with her while threatening his life, that is not rape.
Momokun is known for doing a lot of things like that and just being toxic in general likes to back track and make fun of other cosplayers
War Boi769 Nice bait my friend, well done.
She a thicc one
The fact that hyper-privileged 1st world women (especially white women) aren't actually oppressed doesn't stop them from constantly crying about how hard they think their little lives are and what poor little victims they are of the big bad "patriarchy'"
Momokun is so cancelled LOL
kyaami naw shes still gucci
kyaami it's funny af to see her out of the Facebook community
I'm just adding to this and saying it's hilarious that PDS put out a video before she even got the guts to post her "apology" video (even though it's been like 2 weeks)
bruh kyaami watches philip defranco??
Miss Kobe Yoshi that is extremely accurate.
Thanks for mentioning this SAT stuff. I was shocked when I received a 1260 after getting a 1360 on a practice SAT and doing 9 weeks of tutoring. Now I know why.
Lil Tay story:
I wouldn't be surprised if she grows up to be nothing more than a brat child. Her fam is literally ruining her and her future.
only half bad 333 Aggreed They all need help. Adults should never do this to a child its disgusting.
She may disappear from the spotlight for a bit, but they're always back. Look at Honey Boo-boo and her mom. They are still trying to be relevant.
Hmmm...
I mean they do have workers and servers to run to keep tests and data available
Shit an't cheap but also wouldn't be surprised if some people were living well off then just comfortable living wages
CollegeBoard: We are a non profit.
Also CollegeBoard: 841 million dollars revenue in 2014.
Me, an intellectual: then send me to college for free please 🙃
Where do you think the revenue goes?
hello piko
There's no such thing as free education. Its paid for by others.
That doesn't mean she understands why consent is important, though. She just knows that consent gives her power over men.
I love how I’m subscribed, rang the bell, and yet didn’t even get notified about it.
I have ADD, formerly I have had ADHD. It is NEVER AN EXCUSE TO TOUCH SOMEONE WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT! COSPLAY IS NOT CONSENT!
Madison Waycaster having any mental health issues isn't and excuse for your actions, you need to take personal responsibility for your actions. I hate it when people use their mental health as a shield to protect themselves, this part of the reason why there is a stigma around it.
Would you please read my comment again, I just said it wasn't an excuse.
please read my comment again, I never said you were excusing it, I agreed and added my personal disdain for people who use it to protect themselves from consequences for their actions
Okay I have ADHD and I don’t run around groping people. That’s not an excuse. Yes symptoms of ADHD are things like unrestlessness and sometimes not having a verbal filter, but if you take even a second to treat people with respect it’s not a problem.
Congrats. you failed to listen
toste go away white knight.
Feel free to grope me any time 😘
Nonomi thank you, I didn’t get a chance to read these until now and it’s nice to know someone has my back
toste could you explain where you’re coming from, please?
In response to Momokun sexually harrassing people at conventions,
I do not care how many followers they have. If anyone puts their hands on me and they don't have my permission to do so, they can expect me to slap them.
I've been going to conventions for almost a decade and have been groped several times. I have told them to stop, pushed their hands away and I've even slapped someone who grabbed my breast unapologetically
im loving all the new ad libbing at the end of these
Momo's appology, sorry I mean defense, was almost as good as Kevin Spacy's "I'm gay" defense.
Im dyslexic can I sexually assault people?
I have depression can I kidnap someone?
I have OCD can I steal all your money?
yes you all can
Thank you for exposing more Double Standards.
Justin Chisaki they are if you're for equal treatment.
Almost like the whole idea of the SAT is fundamentally flawed.
Kellen McInerny yeah I think standardized testing is fundamental to an extent however the college board aka the SAT AND act in my opinion are very flawed
Because in the end the business is a money hungry corporation with expensive tests that you have to retake like a lot just to do well on
It’s also because the questions themselves don’t test your ability to answer them but more so they’re trick questions
Don’t even get me started on subject tests which I think are SO unnecessary in the end they’ exist as another money grabbing opportunity
I’ve had to take the tests several times I did fine and my friends got close to perfect
In a regular classroom all of us do very well in English, math, writing etc
For example I just graduated from IB which is a international standardized high school curriculum, and I did well in English math etc, yet despite that being standardized, the questions on the act and sat , I can’t do well in except if I keep paying to take the exam. My friends and I, we all had to retake and buy courses to study the SAT and ACT because the tests are just that weird and hard
The way they’re also designed and the upsurd expectations that unis have with those marks are just very mind boggling to me
Anyway, four years ago I believe it wasn’t that different but I guess you had a better experience than I did 😂
the fact you have to pay for a test no one wants to take... is shit. thank his i’m out of highschool now
1320cruiser The idea of a standardized test isn't new or particularly bad. It's much more accurate than using grades. I've taken the test and it's less about knowledge and more so about your proficient on foundational knowledge.
Everything in the SAT you should theoretically be able to solve given your grade level.
Yo that's such a great time to come out with confessions tbh
Arale Da Slump G0D love to hit that bandwagon lol
