- HARD TEACHING | The Word Exposed with Cardinal Tagle (August 25, 2024)
We are on the Twenty-first Sunday in Ordinary Time. Today’s gospel presents the conclusion of Jesus’s discourse on the bread of life. On this occasion Jesus asks the Twelve: “Do you also want to leave?”
Some followers of Jesus already left. They found Jesus’s teachings unacceptable. “This saying is hard; who can accept it?” they said. They returned to their old ways, “and no longer accompanied him.” Jesus is aware of their unbelief, and so he asked those who remained if they also wanted to leave.
Friends, the same question is being presented to us, every day. Do we want to leave Jesus when his teachings are not of our liking? Do we cling to him like the Twelve, in spite of difficulties and failures, because we know he possesses the Word of Life? May we be always convinced that Jesus is God’s Holy One, and in choosing him we will never go wrong.

When the word incarnate told his disciples to go to a dserted and rest awhile, it is hard teaching to those who believe those words as tenderness in mission

To eat the bread of life is to lay down the truth about how many viewers there are to the word exposed and how many thumbs up to what was exposed
This gospel is not a prescription to cling to the lord rather this commands man to shake the dust off ones sandals meaning to leave behind the old ways of life by eating not food that perishes on earth but the bread of life which is the constant and perpetual determination to follow the word that was made flesh.
So far the venerable Cardinal Tagle has defined love as slavery because of ones strong feeling of attachments to object of ones love.This is not only hard teaching .This is teaching acts of avarice and extreme selfishness and greed
The proclamation that the word of the lord is hard teaching will make christians desist from working in the vineyard and from making the seeds grow .Is this what the disciples had done that prompted Jesus Christ to tell them to rest awhile

Because.my work is to tend to the vines in the vineyard and make the seeds grow I should not engàge in any argument regarding the interpretations and understanding of the word was God.I should merely make echoes from the wilderness and hope God ,the holy spirit, will draw people to listen and heed the echoes from the wilderness.Wherefore in my interpretations I will add the word "perhaps" there is no hard teaching.
