We had a quite large pecan tree fall in our front yard in the early morning of the storm. Fortunately, it fell to the side into the driveway missing everything but the bed of my truck but I’ll take that over it hitting my home.

Awful. Prayers for your family 🙏🏻 They’ve been saying this storm was coming towards us for the past couple of days, but it turned at the last minute and went into Matagorda and on up into Houston. I was worried our huge oak trees were going to come down. Especially because they survived a few years back during Harvey, so worried they might not make it this time. Praying for everyone affected by this storm 🙏🏻❤️

@@SafetyMentalst oak trees are notorious for tipping over when the roots get wet and tornadic winds are present. the trees were in good shape. the WHOLE tree was pushed over. it didnt break.

Prayers for the family of those 2 people who died from falling trees, how awful for them. I'm sure the shock is still affecting them and the reality will hit them a little later. Im so so sorry, no one should have to deal with this. Here in Beaumont, just an hour east of Houston, we got off easy on this one. But we still feel such sadness for our neighbors.
How dare your reporter stand there reporting and telling other people they shouldn't be there. If they shouldn't be there, what the hell are you doing there. You aren't special, being a reporter gives you no super powers, if its not safe then its not safe. Let the cops tell people to move on and not film. WTF? When the cop told you it's not safe, they were telling YOU to move along.
Yet people sheltering in their home, doing what was told of them to do, being safe.....they were killed. That's just messed up. I hope your reporter is safe, but if they should get hurt, it's pretty much on them now isn't it?
