Stillborn baby, shortly after wife passed in a car accident, sister fought leukemia. He really is an inspiration for how to carry oneself and a great example of what to aspire to be like. Glad he's blessed us.
He lived in Canada as a child for a while, but he is NOT Canadian... He was born in Beirut Lebanon...his mother is English and his father is from Hawaii.
As a canadian it’s hard to understand why chemo is covered by government insurance like it would be in Canada. If keanu is canadian he would feel the same way

i actually started to cry listening to this story. why it should be done much more often. keanu reeves, the angel that he is, shouldn't be the sole florence nightingale in the hollywood community.
I understand completely. I was diagnosed with the same illness that took my Mom's life. Since then I've needed knee surgery, my right hip needed to be replaced, another surgery. Now that same knee needs surgery again. This was after being in the hospital 3-4 times per year for pneumonia. I've been trying to get disability. I can't walk to the parking lot without stopping to catch my breath. I now have to use a cane or a walker all the time. Life can really throw you some real doozies. Being ill nowadays is NOT a cheap endeavor. Medications alone can be extremely high priced. I've seen Inhalers that can run between $250.⁰⁰ and $950.⁰⁰. Heart Medications can also be pretty expensive as well. If it wasn't for a really good friend of mine, I'd be homeless, living in a shelter, or dead. I am so thankful for the help I've received. I took care of my parents for 10 years. During that time my Mom was hospitalized repeatedly for her illness, emphysema. Towards the end she became weaker and weaker. The last three years she was alive she was bedridden. That was so difficult to watch. I promised her that I would NOT place her in a Nursing Home and when the time came to make that decision, I would not abandon my Mom. During those three years we became best friends. I miss her so much. A 6 months or so after my Mom had passed away, my Dad was diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. He was given 6-8 months to live. I moved "Up North" where my Dad had moved to. I got a job working 3rd shift and I tried to convince my Dad to get some medical treatment, but ever since my Mom's Mom, my Grandma had passed away while she was being operated on for cancer, and a friend of my Dad who also died while being operated on for cancer he said that he wasn't going to die on a hospital table, or laying in a hospital bed sick from Chemotherapy treatments. I couldn't convince him to change his mind, but I tried to convince myself it was HIS choice. Later on though I remember thinking that had I pushed him to see a doctor sooner, push him to focus more on his health he wouldn't be in this situation. He passed away in my arms. Cancer had devastated him. My Dad was never a big guy. He usually weighed about 165-180 pounds, but when he passed away he barely weighed 95-100 pounds. As I mentioned before, he was given 6-8 months to live, however we looked into some other forms of treatments. Experimental treatments that was having decent successes. He tried to get these medications but we were stopped dead in our 👣tracks👣. We were told that attempts to get medication not approved by USA was punishable by jail time. My Dad laughed at him. He told the guy that his doctor gave him 6 months to live. We were able to acquire some of the meds and in the end my Dad lived another 18 months. A few years earlier I also took care of my Dad another time. He had gone in for treatment for alcoholism. He was in bad shape. He went into a coma and was comatose for over 2 weeks. He was in bed for over a month ➕. When he came to they started Physical therapy with him. However given the fact that my Dad was on my Mom's insurance and she again was diagnosed with emphysema and was also in the hospital albeit a different one, my Dad had used up his alloted 🏥🏨Hospital🏥Time🏨🏥. He was discharged before he was even able to walk. So I decided to continue his physical therapy myself. A friend of mine occasionally helped me out. We became best friends that Spring and we spent that summer having breakfast and Mini-Golfing 3-6 times a week. So when he also got sick I immediately wanted to help. He loved the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team. Actually he loved baseball in general so I got him DirectTV with the Major League Baseball package included. Sadly he only got to enjoy it from late March(end of Spring Training) until the 4th of July when he passed away. I'll never ever forget that night. He grabbed ahold of my shirt. The cancer had spread into the glands in his throat and his Lymph Nodes. It was so bad that he couldn't swallow very easily or talk. He looked at me, his eyes teared up, and he told me that he was scared. His grip tightened more and he barely said, "Help me". Only one other time in my life had I felt so helpless. When my Mom was on life support in ICU(Intensive Care Unit). There is no feeling worse than not being able to help a loved one who's in pain and scared. Seeing people do these RAOK is extremely special and I really appreciate seeing them. It shows that people out there not only still care. I never needed to ever have to ask for help before my illness hit. As a matter of fact I was always the one who was helping other people. Needless to say it was difficult to accept that I was now the person needing help, but I am extremely grateful for the help I've been given. God Bless you ma'am. I hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I Hope and Pray that you and everyone else will have a beautiful Christmas and an even better New Year. Take care.

WHY DO YOU FEEL THE NEED TO STATE 'BLACK'. Girl would suffice.😤
Young girl or young lady would suffice.
Why do they have to mention the colour of a person's skin?
Get a life
It's ok . being black and being described as such is not insulting
Why is it necessary for you to make a big stink about it in the first place? It wasn't meant to be derogatory.
Because in the Land of the Free, the USA, her being black is very relevant. Sadly.
