Yeah I think I was better at BB at the same playtime that I have in Urtuk now. There's less to watch on Urtuk so you have to learn by experience more than tutorial, which slows it down.
I love this game. Can't wait to see more videos on it. BTW, Urtuk works well as the priest class. I think the special mutations he gets vary based on your class; because, I didn't get any damage buffs.
Bought this game as soon as i saw the art style, but quickly realised that it's also a very good too. Played through it a few times and enjoyed it a lot.
Nice to see you on Urtuk. I am an old player of Urtuk. Skip the intro fight is not a good idea. You can gain free XP (around 74). That counts espacially when you play in désolation difficulty.
That's why I think it's probably best for more experienced players. I have never felt too secure with my assassin. Reflexive skin is probably really good on it, right?
Génial! j'ai regardé quasiment toutes tes vidéos sur Battle Brothers , c'est un plaisir de te voir sur Urtuk. My english is not fluent i can't write properly sorry!
hell yeah, Urtuk content, my go-to stop between Legends/PTR updates. Could also have shown the ability to rightclick enemies to see their in-depth skills/perks/harvestable mutators, but that might as well be left for a later video, when beasts and all their crazy perks come into play.
I have not played this game but I like the fact it displays more info than in battle brothers. Like what exactly each combat stats means and the enemy stats.
even though you might be able to compare the two games I dont agree that they can rival with each other. battle brohters gore, art style and presentation is just so blunt, evident and unique. I dont think anything will even come close to the charm that bb has unless the developers will make a sequel which I hope they will
Given that you have decided to give this game a chance I'll put it straight, this game is awesome, yet kind of hard and very very tactical. More than tactical, it requires a lot of knowledge to play correctly, would definitely follow the videos if you decided to actually take it as a full time second game for the channel.
Yeah I feel that I suck at it way more than I did at BB given the same playtime. Going to epic and possibly deso will be tough. I hope it's received well on the channel because I would like to make serious content for it.
I've had a video in mind of Battle Brothers-like games, and Urtuk was certainly on the list. It's interesting, but something about didn't quite "click" for me. I think the fights seemed a little too long and monotonous? Too frequent?
Hey James! Ooh that sounds like a great video... care to share any more? I think my biggest gripe is that the overland stuff lacks in comparison to BB. If BB was just fight after fight after fight then I'd like it a lot less, but there's bro management and towns and whatever. Urtuk is like 90% fights, so it feels more monotonous. That being said, the fights are great.
@@CarveaHole You're on the right track with your analysis, I think. The battles are a little too long, and too frequent, and it just becomes a bit too much of a grind for me. I can certainly see the potential, and it's close to the sweet spot Battle Brothers hits, but it's just a little off for my taste. I think another bit is the atmosphere. At first, I liked the drab, Darkest Dungeon meets Battle Brothers vibe, but it ended up feeling monotonous, and the enemies didn't seem as varied/unique as they do in BB. Your video on Urtuk is great, so (since I have tomorrow off) I might put together a video on "The Last Spell", which had points I really like, and a few I don't.
It sucks. Lost my Berserker on the very first battle trying to help two other guys that I figured I would get after the mission. The archer just wrecked house and I could not even reach him. I was playing on "Exploration" too. Battle Brothers feels tough but fair, at least to me. Urtuk as a Priest is a WORTHLESS class and character
I found the initial learning and difficulty curve harsher in Urtuk, than BB. Would love to see more coverage on the game.
Yeah I think I was better at BB at the same playtime that I have in Urtuk now. There's less to watch on Urtuk so you have to learn by experience more than tutorial, which slows it down.
Looks very interesting. Sort of looks like darkest dungeon, but with battle brothers combat. Thanks for sharing! This looks cool
I love this game. Can't wait to see more videos on it. BTW, Urtuk works well as the priest class. I think the special mutations he gets vary based on your class; because, I didn't get any damage buffs.
Oh maybe it does, I think I remember reading that once...
I'm replaying Urtuk at the moment, there is a LOT to explore in this game!
Bought this game as soon as i saw the art style, but quickly realised that it's also a very good too. Played through it a few times and enjoyed it a lot.
It is amazing as a game and gameplay nice explanation! Thanks for us that are new to the game!

Yeah I skipped just for the video, but good point! Looking forward to seeing your comments in future videos :D
Assassin urtuk is an insane glass cannon
Low defense and having to fight in melee is a dangerous combination.
That's why I think it's probably best for more experienced players. I have never felt too secure with my assassin. Reflexive skin is probably really good on it, right?
I really like it, I like how your guys can compliment each other with attacks, my favorite is to get champions
Yeah farming champions is really fun.

That's okay, I can always use poor online translators :P
Love to see you around

Yeah I totally knew that was a thing...
Only game that came close to battle brothers for me is actually a mobile game called "Occidental Heroes"
A mobile game?! Huh never thought I'd hear that. What makes you enjoy it so much?
@@CarveaHole very good story (decisions..decisions!!), difficult, party focused hex turn based rpg
Very cool game to play when you are commuting haha
ive played this, definitely pretty good to scratch that battle brothers itch
I have not played this game but I like the fact it displays more info than in battle brothers. Like what exactly each combat stats means and the enemy stats.
Yes! Although there is still a lot of wiki necessity until you learn what each trait does.
Been wanting to get Urtuk for so long, but I still have so much to do in BB...

Thanks, I might give this another try. It made me want to go play Into The Breach though.

the extra medicine is actually the best choice in my opinion. medicine always seem harder to get than any of those mutators.
How often do you need to use it though?
love both but think BB is better. The whole mutator thing just gets tedious by midgame. If it was streamlined would def play it more
I do like BB more lol, but at some point I probably gotta play another game.
How did you bring up this menu at 1:43 mark? I want to learn more about this game.
Battle guide in the main menu, look some seconds earlier.
Yes. More.
Try Wartales carve
I tried the demo, it didn't wow me too much. Reminded me of D&D more than battle Brothers. Of course it was just a demo.
This game is far more tough than BB because there are lot of interesting mechanics (from traits and mutators) that game does not explain

Take medicine if you have delicate opener game on veteran or higher.
Great intro. Wishlisted the game. Really doesn't look like the type of the game you'll figure out just how much you suck in like 200h in. Like BB.
the game uses battle brothers sounds in combat, puts me off it a bit
It sucks.

There's a learning curve, don't get salty at the early stuff!
