At 9:55 when you clear your throat, the animation on the bottom right opens it's mouth as if speaking... And for some reason I just found that to be pretty funny
Quick question: In Blender, when I try to paint on the kraber it doesn't add any color, but instead after a few seconds of painting it adds these "missingno."-like patterns. Pretty much just looks like a missing texture on the gun. Don't know if you have an answer to this since it's not really a case of failure in modding but in modeling and texturing. I've not used Blender's texturing, only used it when I was trying to get into 3d-modeling. The guide on the other hand has been easy to follow, so good job on it! Edit: Fixed it! For anyone else having this problem: When exporting the materials with Legion, Legion makes them into .dds files, which you need to change to .png. This you can change in the settings for Legion. You also will need to change the model export format to Valve SMD, since it's normally on SEModel, so that the addon for Blender will be able to edit it.

You will also need to switch the models from SEModel to Valve SMD which you can also find in the settings for legion.

Thanks for such an awesome in-depth guide! Question on the skin tools though, are both tools shown required for you to install the skin properly or were you just showing two different options and only one is necessary?
great tutorial but i tried using a skin for the alternator i downloaded and it didnt work. i have tried using both skin tools but neither worked for me Edit: Im just stoopid and had to equip the Factory issue skin xD
you need to change the settings in legion I think edit: yeah, just checked. It's in the settings. Also make sure to change the texture export format from dds to png
srry but i didn't understand the texture part, you said that you needed the color and the illuminance, but how do you recognize them? I tried to create a skin for the mastiff and only used the color png and it worked so why do you need the illuminance one? And lastly you made the same skin on the color and illuminance png but how did you copy your work to the illuminance file?

You only need one, Pandoras tool is better in my opinion

ok so i tried converting a gun model using legion but it converted it into .semodel and not .smd so blender cant find it
you need to change the settings in legion I think
