I've always dreamed of seeing a fully animated fight between titans that I could just watch, and LO IT HAS BEEN GIVEN UNTO ME Your talent is immeasurable!
This animation was a joy to watch the first time and the twenty first time Your usage of in game voice lines, and soundtrack made this feel like an official animation, and in conjunction with your superb animation, made this a visual treat to behold, which rivals, if not outright surpasses the source material The weight behind Jack and his movements where incredible, as where the movements of both militia and IMC titans (the ions death was awesome!) and each factions personnel, resulting in (when accompanied by the vast number of subtle touches (like the grunts checking corners and weapons')) a world and characters that feel real! This is without even mentioning the ludicrous attention to detail that has been sprinkled throughout the animation, like the grunts assembling into squads like they do in game or the jump kit flaring up as Jack moves The IMC starting off by thrashing the Militia was also very smart, as not only does it further show how competent Cooper and BT are, but also how the Titan wars was such an uphill battle for the Militia There are also various sections dotted thorough the animation that parallel scenes and executions from Titan fall that where always fun to spot, and made the animation have a great deal of re-watch value (like Latomosa's intro cutscene being paralleled by Jacks intro in this, the Ions plasma rifle simply dispersing across the Atlas's vortex shield (like it does in game), the end of the animation (the Militias arrival) being similar to the start of "Trial by fire" from TF2, BT referencing Ronin's execution and Vipers death scene, or the Ogre referencing Tones execution, ETC) (The inclusion of TF1 assets was also a wonderful touch) Jacks fighting style was an incredible blend of both Anderson and Lastamosa, with hints of TF2 executions thrown in for good measure, making him nothing short of a treat to watch as he utilizes every possible part of his arsenal (ranging from data knives to RE-45's!) as he seamlessly changes between running (on both the ground and the walls) and (spectacularly animated) long and close range combat (and lets not forget the famous jump kit) The insane agility of BT and the vanguards and Strider class titans (I'm not even gonna start on Cooper, because we'll be here all week if I do) was a grand ol' touch (because if your telling me "Papa scorch" can jump (in his execution in game), what's stopping the lighter and more advanced titans (respectively) from doing the same?) (that being said if I have one complaint it is that the titans jets don't spark when they zip about, as it would have helped justify their hyper mobility (but that's just being very nitpicky on my behalf, and by no means takes away from the animation)) I can only imagine how much effort was put into this, and for that alone I applaud you However, on top of that, you have produced an incredible Animation that rivals that of massive game companies, with a fun little story to boot Good on ya!
The fact that this was made in sfm shows that no matter how old sfm is, it's still a really good animation software if you have the skills and stuff. Really great job in this one! I hope one day my animations could be as good
This helps to truly show the power of a vanguard titan, they don’t just switch between loadouts, they have them all and can use them as long as they have the correct gadgets and guns
That pistol kill on the exposed pilot made my jaw drop, and that's saying something when you consider how absolutely mental your videos already are! You are incredible, my friend.
Battletech has such a clearly defined aesthetic, it's always a joy to see those mechs in motion. In the Mechwarrior games I'm too busy fighting them to sit and watch the animations, and in the Battletech tactics/RPG I'm too anxious about my mechwarriors being killed to enjoy it.
The authenticity on display here is ridiculous. Not only is Cooper an unstoppable badass, but the grunts are even divided up into their little fireteams just like Attrition. Their tactics are actually pretty believable. Your lighting outdoors looks pretty flat, but other than that the visuals are great
POV: your an IMC grunt and you see a green flare dash at the speed of light and murder your teammates with the weakest bullet ever invented [9mm | car SMG]
There's something about Sodaz's animations that gives every punch, every bullet, every explosive, this heavy and weighted impact that really makes it feel like they do the damage that they're meant to deal.
@@r138-y6 it does hurt their business tho. Because content creators like sodaz used to make high quality advertisement that does not cost anything to GW(literally nothing). On top of that other content creators (like carbot) would avoid making wh animation in the future. Which is logic :)
This nostalgia hit me hard, I miss titanfall, and the fact, that we do not have any idea for the 3rd part for 4 years is making me anxious if we ever will recieve any. I hate EA for what they have done to Titanfalls universe, cashing on Battle Royales with Apex Legends, I think we can bury any hope for Titanfall 3 in its past glory.
THIS IS SIMPLY INCREDIBLE, AMAZING AND HONESTLY A MASTERPIECE, AND I DON'T THINK IT NEEDS TO BE "PERFECT" TO BE THAT. IT IS ENOUGH FOR ME BY JUST SEEING THE HUGE AMOUNT OF PASSION PUT INTO THIS. BRAVO! JUST BRAVO! SHALL TITANFALL FOREVER LIVE!
As someone who played both titanfalls and is still playing it even after years going by seeing this much work out into a animation was amazing and by far the best I’ve seen so far, good job and amazing work.
Incredible work. Glad to see you back, sincerely. I still can't get over how fluid you've got stuff. Honestly, it feels like these could be in-game cinematics! And the use of voice lines and music in the right place absolutely nails it :) Genuinely felt hyped when Marauder Corps and the SRS showed up!
When GW told their fanbase to "fuck off" on their IP, fortunately, we have creators like this wonderful lad that has a passion for all things sci-fi. Looking forward towards your Star Wars one SODAZ. Keep up the great work!
You know it was Warhammer fans that stopped Sodaz from making Warhammer videos right? Like literally they called him a shill and a sell out among other things for accepting the job offer. So tbh if GW tells their fan base to fuck off. I'm kinda with them on that.
@@lokenothsg5298 And do you know why the 'fans' harrassed him? Because of communication issues. Do you know why he quit in the first place? He was left to dry. GW did nothing for a month. A small percentage of his 'fans' attacked him, and GW did nothing to support him. Both carry the blame, but GW deserves its title as the cause.
@@Dragonspirit223 So the fans called him a sell-out and a shill over miscommunication issues? What exactly was miscommunicated? That he'd received a job offer? Seems he was pretty clear about that. And you know what it takes time between a job offer and your actual contract being received right? (Also month it was 2 weeks last time I checked) But yknow heaven forbid GW did not have a contract ready on the day they approached him that both satisfied UK and international Law during a pandemic, as well as the logisitics ironed out for whether he'd be working from home or need a visa to come to the UK. So if you want to blame Gw for being slow I guess go for it? But you can't blame him quitting because of shitty fans on anything other than shitty fans. What did you want GW to do? Tell them to stop being shitty? You need companies to tell you to behave? Do you think those people would even listen to GW? They don't even listen to the animators they pretend to defend! Heck you just need to read the Warhammer + reviews to see those amazing people who totally 1000% supported those animators (Who do need to actually be paid btw) hear how the content that those people are making is now somehow shit and would only watch it if it was free. Like holy hell those "Few" guys are pretty fucking vocal and I respect Sodaz's decision to say Fuck us all because here we are you and me talking about who REALLY is to blame for harassing sodaz and well it wasn't GW now was it.
@@lokenothsg5298 I don't fault GW for not having a contract ready, I fault them for leaving him to dry. Of course they aren't going to tell the 'Fans' to stop, they couldn't really get message out and it probably wouldn't have done squat. I fault them for not reaching out in support. They effectively ghosted him for a month (and from what I remember it was a month, but that may be misrememering) of no support, and little income from Patreon (as that was cut down just like the other groups as its a different source of income) and less from TH-cam with his videos gone. As I said, in my opinion, both parties are to blame. I say the 'Fans' were more at fault for backstabbing, its unacceptable. But I also see GWs action as the start of it all. Was the result unintentional? Yeah. But to me they hold a share of fault.
@@Dragonspirit223 Your definition of ghosting him is I think my issue here. Do you think they were aware he was getting any shit off anyone, or were even expecting him to get any? Because BOY OH BOY not a single person who was aware or even reporting on the issue (the ones pretending they cared that is) decided to even say a bad thing about the fans harassing him. Arch? Nope, Majorkill? Nope Valrak? Nope. The only person who even said "boy this was fucked up" was another animator who had declined GW's Offer. And did anyone listen to him? NO the same lot who pretended to care came up with conspiracies about GW that not a single bloody animator even the ones who rejected the offer could collaborate for them and when confronted on it they gave a god damn response that a tory back bencher would be proud of. Like honestly I don't get why you guys even need to come up with some ill conceived mitigating factor to alleviate part of the blame from a shitty fan base? You don't need to put any portion of the blame at GW's feet on this singular occasion. All blame needs to be directed at those shitheaded individuals who are so incapable of managing their baby rage for a company that they piss over anyone and everyone affiliated with them.
Sick animation. Deserves way more views. The ending part where the allies came in gave me literal chills. Can't even name one wrong thing about this. Great freaking job!

I LOVED THIS, this is what like to see when titans are portrayed and how powerful pilots are, and the skill of the cooper in those fights is perfect....is there gonna be a part 2....
This is what happens when a fan makes a passion project. You get a good video like this. The fights felt believable and the movements of the mechas, while lumbering, were also rather slick. A good combination. All in all a solid representation of why people love Titanfall. The mech battling and the characters.
I cannot stress enough how much I love this video. I've watched it multiple times, and I will always, _always_ love it. A Pilot and a Vanguard-class Titan work together like a well-oiled machine, and Cooper and BT are a perfect example of this.

There's only one thing I see wrong with this. Cooper wasn't picking up a new gun every 3minutes due to running out of ammo. But this version of copper is much cooler and don't need that
He was though... He dropped the r97 because it was out of ammo.
I mean as when I played I constantly switched between the volt, R97,devotion,etc... through pretty much the whole game
@@crazedrabbyt221 same but with the occasional Eva or mastiff from the marvins
I've always dreamed of seeing a fully animated fight between titans that I could just watch, and LO IT HAS BEEN GIVEN UNTO ME
Your talent is immeasurable!
Thanks obama
This animation was a joy to watch the first time and the twenty first time
Your usage of in game voice lines, and soundtrack made this feel like an official animation, and in conjunction with your superb animation, made this a visual treat to behold, which rivals, if not outright surpasses the source material
The weight behind Jack and his movements where incredible, as where the movements of both militia and IMC titans (the ions death was awesome!) and each factions personnel, resulting in (when accompanied by the vast number of subtle touches (like the grunts checking corners and weapons')) a world and characters that feel real!
This is without even mentioning the ludicrous attention to detail that has been sprinkled throughout the animation, like the grunts assembling into squads like they do in game or the jump kit flaring up as Jack moves
The IMC starting off by thrashing the Militia was also very smart, as not only does it further show how competent Cooper and BT are, but also how the Titan wars was such an uphill battle for the Militia
There are also various sections dotted thorough the animation that parallel scenes and executions from Titan fall that where always fun to spot, and made the animation have a great deal of re-watch value (like Latomosa's intro cutscene being paralleled by Jacks intro in this, the Ions plasma rifle simply dispersing across the Atlas's vortex shield (like it does in game), the end of the animation (the Militias arrival) being similar to the start of "Trial by fire" from TF2, BT referencing Ronin's execution and Vipers death scene, or the Ogre referencing Tones execution, ETC)
(The inclusion of TF1 assets was also a wonderful touch)
Jacks fighting style was an incredible blend of both Anderson and Lastamosa, with hints of TF2 executions thrown in for good measure, making him nothing short of a treat to watch as he utilizes every possible part of his arsenal (ranging from data knives to RE-45's!) as he seamlessly changes between running (on both the ground and the walls) and (spectacularly animated) long and close range combat (and lets not forget the famous jump kit)
The insane agility of BT and the vanguards and Strider class titans (I'm not even gonna start on Cooper, because we'll be here all week if I do) was a grand ol' touch (because if your telling me "Papa scorch" can jump (in his execution in game), what's stopping the lighter and more advanced titans (respectively) from doing the same?) (that being said if I have one complaint it is that the titans jets don't spark when they zip about, as it would have helped justify their hyper mobility (but that's just being very nitpicky on my behalf, and by no means takes away from the animation))
I can only imagine how much effort was put into this, and for that alone I applaud you
However, on top of that, you have produced an incredible Animation that rivals that of massive game companies, with a fun little story to boot
Good on ya!
“Remember killing another titan and getting there gun is always easier then reloading”

That pistol kill on the exposed pilot made my jaw drop, and that's saying something when you consider how absolutely mental your videos already are! You are incredible, my friend.
I'm here off the recent Titanfall 2 revival. Seeing Jack and BT together again made me sniffle. You did great work here.
HORAAAY!!! SODAZ IS BACK!!!
On a side note: I'm imagining what he could do with "Battletech"... Stompy robots Galore!!!
Even better, he could animate Goat Simulator and it is still better.
BATTLETECH robots don't really move like this. they're basically walking battleships so it really wouldn't work like this does.
The authenticity on display here is ridiculous. Not only is Cooper an unstoppable badass, but the grunts are even divided up into their little fireteams just like Attrition. Their tactics are actually pretty believable. Your lighting outdoors looks pretty flat, but other than that the visuals are great
An *almost* unstoppable badass. He DID get caught off guard by that sniper…
Fair enough
@@chaoitcdie6444 PHACKING DMR CAMPERS
Pretty sure the lighting is just some of the limitations of sfm.
@@unnown39061 I wish we could see what Sodaz could do with other tools like Blender, but I feel he's right at home working with SFM.
absolutely gorgeous, you should have Jack use his jump kit more though. Pilots are always flying all over the place.
Bet that's gonna be hard to animate.

It's impressive how heavy you made the titans feel
There's something about Sodaz's animations that gives every punch, every bullet, every explosive, this heavy and weighted impact that really makes it feel like they do the damage that they're meant to deal.
even the glore, when that one titan fell one soldiers (*ehem* Npc) looks sick
Someone needs to tell Lawyers to stay the hell away from animators….. Knowing TF2’s devs, they’re all for this sort of fan creation.
Doubt they will go after creators when they themselves released SFM for free so others can make content using it.
@@renzmanzano4010 GWs reasoning for taking down videos was about copyright laws.
@@sergeyk9060 they only take down if the animator is making money from it. Which is logic.
@@r138-y6 it does hurt their business tho. Because content creators like sodaz used to make high quality advertisement that does not cost anything to GW(literally nothing). On top of that other content creators (like carbot) would avoid making wh animation in the future. Which is logic :)
@@r138-y6 the new GW guidelines clearly state no unlicensed fan animations are to be produced. No exceptions.
So glad you didn't stop with your animations, you are a bloody legend and this is great.
I couldn't hold the tears back anymore When he's said "Protocal 3... Protect The Pilot" 💔😫😭🤧 I miss you BT

I like how the Titans are portrayed as heavy-hitting but also squishy at the same time.
As someone who played both titanfalls and is still playing it even after years going by seeing this much work out into a animation was amazing and by far the best I’ve seen so far, good job and amazing work.
YES, SO GOOOD
I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much speaking in one of your animations before, love it!
I have a question, do you know want he uses to make these videos?
(Also month it was 2 weeks last time I checked)
But yknow heaven forbid GW did not have a contract ready on the day they approached him that both satisfied UK and international Law during a pandemic, as well as the logisitics ironed out for whether he'd be working from home or need a visa to come to the UK.
Dude this is SICK! Especially love Cooper's run at 1:51. Great fluidity in the movement.

Amazing work man I love the cunning sense in combat & that there’s a struggle instead of it being one sided.

Sick animation. Deserves way more views. The ending part where the allies came in gave me literal chills. Can't even name one wrong thing about this. Great freaking job!
The tiny details in this are insane. The mobile-turret bouncing a bit when there was an explosion, the sound of the shells of the Ogre Titan’s bullets hitting the ground, the ships coming in from hyperspace. It’s so, so cool.
Where’s the ogre, I never saw one
It was cool to see how badass a pilot is, I loved how you made it even more badass. The only thing that was weird was the BF4 characters.
He did that so you didn’t have only one type of soldier during the battles. It gives it the feeling that it’s more than just grunts.

Nice how the Resistance forces (who are practically broke) were all using a mix of Vanguard titans and the Atlas titans from the 1st game, while the (better funded) IMC were using the models from the 2nd game.

This honestly was the best thing I've seen about titanfall since the release of monarch
As a die hard Titan Fall fan this brings so much joy to my life that you simply can’t comprehend it! THANK YOU!!!

This convinced me that a titanfall movie needs to happen. If only Respawn would stop pretending like this franchise doesn't exist :/
bruh this is nuts
I love how physical the impacts are on the Titans. In game I'm sorta used to them just eating rockets/punches and seeing a health bar go down; super cool to see the rockets, punches, and broadsword really connect and whack them around here.
also badass seeing BT just run up to the Northstar and take him for a spin
you put more effort into this than respawn put into Titanfall these last few years, this is incredible, this is my headcannon

that final execution on that Ronin was stellar, would love to see more of that!
