Brother I am a 72 year old Vietnam Vet white man, I consider what you said as one of the highest things you could say to a singer. I like your style and even more I like that you like the " Blue Eyed Soul " of the RB's. I will stand with you if you need me.
Young man I'm a 74 year old white woman. I love hearing your reaction to the music I've heard all my life. No you are not racist, just keep up the good work keeping great music alive.
Righteous bros always make me weak at the knees! Young guys need to learn the way to a woman's heart. When they first came out everyone was surprised they were white when they saw them for the first time.
Black people: like white people, only infinitely cooler, speaking in my official capacity as spokesman for the whities. I’ve been told by the group to inform you that we’re getting tired of being lame!
The Righteous Brothers actually got their name from black audiences. According to Bill Medley, when they were performing as a group called The Paramours on a Marine base, the black marines would shout out things like “That was righteous, brothas!”, and would call them the “righteous brothers” when they greeted them, so he and Bobby decided to adopt it as their name when they went duo.
Love your facial expressions, your are so into the music, you seem like a lovely young man, your momma must be so proud, from a 67 y old lady from south Africa 🌍❤️🧓👏
Who ever called you racist, maybe they have that problem, Everybody has soul, I'm 70 year old white man lived in the south all my life, you keep doing what you doing, Your good at it, And your soul is in great shape.
The most wonderful song lyrics that make you smile and just hope it's real is Rock And Roll Heaven by Righteous Brothers. (If there's a Rock and Roll Heaven, well you know they've got a hell of a band.) About all the greats that have left us.
Honey child, I am white, 71, Southern, and you ARE NOT racist at all. You just young and still learning. You are so open minded and truthful, that is why I follow you. Keep up the bridge building.
Blue eyed soul is how they got their name from black audiences calling out 'thats righteous brother'. Check out Bobby doing Summertime. They are great in solos and unbeatable as a duo. Happy you liked them.
First, don’t worry about the haters. And when the Righteous Brothers came out, EVERYONE thought they were black. It’s not like there was social media or even cable tv. Music is meant to make people FEEL... white, black, Latino, whatever. That’s why it’s called the universal language. And every rock band has borrowed from old blues singers. The Beatles, Stones, Presley, they all cite black artists as inspirations. I’m just glad we as an audience get to experience all of it!
My whole high school was in a state of shock after their first appearance on TV. They're WHITE???? You could hear it all over school. Kids were shocked but also kind of proud. It was a mixing of cultures. It was something great that hopped boundaries. It was perfect.

Love your reactions. Don't let the people point fingers at you and accuse you of racism. They are just looking to jump on anyone. If you're happy, they're unhappy. You keep doing you, honey. That's what makes your channel unique.
Long time ago CHRLIE PRIDE sang country music. He was a great black artist. People acted stupid then too. He didn't let it stop him. Not my kind of music, but I admired him. You're doing a great job.Dont listen to ifiots.
So two men listened to soul music and really liked it. It spoke to them. They internalized it so much it started coming out of them. That's just a pure compliment. How could you not react to that? Haters will always spew hate. Just erase their comments and move on.
Amazing that this duo sing such a wide variety of songs showing such diversity !! This one is quite different from most of their songs, but one can't sit still when hearing it. Another different style is Summertime performed by Bobby Hatfield--a must see !! Check out Bobby's love songs, the inspirational ones, rock, doo wop and more--you will be hooked on these so talented guys like we were in the 60's. Enjoy !! Cathy
Of course you're not a racist! I'm an 81 yo white woman and grew up with all the great black soul singers. It was magical. These were the kings of blue eyed soul.
They called it "Blue eyed soul". Janis Joplin's favorite singers, that influenced her greatly were Billie Holliday and Aretha Franklin. ... Music is just music ... it doesn't have a color ... it starts somewhere, .... but once it's out there, it's everyone's.
If you're a musician, you either have soul or you don't. Doesn't matter who or what you are, and the Righteous Brothers had it. And you either appreciate it or you don't. So glad you found this one! Great reaction, thanks!
Another great reaction from you and you don't have to apologize to many of us here. We are on your wavelength and we get it. Even I thought the brothers were black when I first heard them years ago.
Music is an art form and it's language onto itself. The arts break down cultural barriers. It's the best that we have. If you Feel the music, this is all that matters. I understood what you meant. Keep on!
Tell the haters to go eff off. Noticing skin color doesn't make a person racist. A racist is someone that feels their race is superior to others. You point out that the Righteous Brothers don't fit into they stereotypical "white singer" sound. That isn't racist. It is called a stereotype because the majority of people in the specific group adhere to a specific norm. Not all stereotypes are about race; they can be about locations, jobs, political parties, marital status; the possibilities are endless. So long as you don't pigeonhole a person into ALWAYS having to adhere to a stereotype it is okay to recognize them. Personally I get a kick out of young people reacting to older music. By admitting that I am actually stating that there is a stereotype of younger generations not appreciating the music of the past. You sir, have another subscriber. Keep listening to new and different music. I love your reactions.
I love watching you listen to this song. It's great seeing you appreciate the old songs. Your whole face lights up when you smile, it's great!! Screw the haters, ignore them. Just Do You!! Great Reaction!
"Whats the matter baby" is also a great example of his vocal talent. Its on an older album of songs not played on popular radio. The theme is the opposite of unchained melody.
Don’t feel bad. You don’t have to defend yourself. It was nice tho. Everything you said was fact. I learned a long time ago when people say messed up things it’s usually all about them and not you. Great reaction. 🤗❤️
They DO sound like "brothers!" That's the point....Their story is adorable. They sang at a club in Southern California where black marines came in. After hearing them, they said, "That's RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS!" And the rest is history.
You are great. I was there when the Righteous Brothers were around (Bill Medley & Bobby Hatfield), so no spring chick here, but no way can I sit stlill listening to them even now! Age is a number and until mines up I’ll “rock” to these two.
Twon this is the first time I have ever seen your reactions to any songs but the Righteous brothers were amazing then and now nice to see young people enjoying the Righteous brothers as I did as a teenager , it was my parents era of music and it just made me feel great hearing those songs again and your reactions were awesome. Thank you.
I saw The Righteous Brother's in the 70's when I was a teenager, they were great I loved it!!! Great memories. Bill and Bobby were the best!!!! I'm in my 60's now and still look at the pictures I have of them!!!!!!
Ignore the haters. There's just sooo many people with chips on their shoulders these days. People are unsettled and look for words to twist. You just keep on keepin on😎you got this and we got you✌❤

So glad those days are gone. Sam Cooke’s song “ Change is Gonna Come “ although almost sixty years ago, things have changed. To think I could not listen to you or if you wanted to go on a TV dance show, you had to be the entertainment. We can’t let them in power to take us back. Vote every time as if your life depends on it.
You just gorgeous. As gorgeous as the Righteous Bros. I wish we still had Bobby. But Bill still chuggling on, singing at around 80 years old. As he should.
Don't worry about it anybody that saying negative stuff about you. Understand what you are saying. Just keep being real and honest. Ty for your reactions.
It's a remake of an old Muddy Waters blues song from the mid 1950s. In my opinion, its the best remake of a Muddy Waters song ever. And, being sixty-nine years old, I am sure I've heard them all.
You're better off keeping a community of good people who are supportive of you and each other. Let the negativity go find another channel. I would rather get an honest reaction than be pandered to by someone who doesn't really feel it. Just keep doing it your way, honestly, and you will draw in the views.
I'm so glad you say colour doesn't matter. Where music is concerned it really doesn't. We all make assumptions about things we don't know that doesn't make it racist.

I’m 72 & you are exactly right. One thing we learn as we age is “you do you, I’ll do me and we’ll both be happy. It’s just beyond me why people have to be so mean to each other.
Music has no boundaries!! Black or white good music is awesome! Love your reaction to my generations music! We had tons of great artist! Check out The Momma and Papas!! Thanks for sharing your fantastic reviews!
Talent and music matters. Everything else is just flotsam and jetsam. Great entertainers last forever, no matter race, religion, creed, sex, nationality, or home planet. Tall, short, pretty, plain. All that matters is the true ability
The Righteous Brothers and early Hall and Oates(both duos in different eras)I guess you could say were an anomaly and were true fans of 1950’s and early 1960’s electric blues, soul, and rock and roll music. They were there when this kind of music(s) started to happen and couldn’t help but being effected by it. You are very expressive and more than some I have seen and though others too might like this and are, too, equally shocked by it I really love your reactions. I will also offer this...surprise, acknowledgement and the enjoyment of peoples talents no matter who they are is a good thing and as pure an honest as you can get. Thank you.
Anyone who listens to any type of music like this and can't "FEEL" it....they have no soul and I feel sorry for them!! Lol P.S...don't worry about haters!! You're listening, learning, and it's not up to them how you interpret it. You can't make everyone happy....do you 😃💛💛💛
This is a classic example, and proof, that music is truly a universal language. We all ‘got it’. Explanations not needed, excuses not needed. The sound was distinctly blues.... down and dirty Mississippi/ Louisiana blues and blue is the only color here.
Tell them to shut the fuck up . Color doesn't matter ! But sometimes we don't sound like we have soul , but we do !
All of God's children have soul
Idiots may say they're appropriating Black music. No. They were *honoring* it.
💯.
Twon, you have absolutely nothing to apologize for!!.
Nobody we truly loves the channel was offended.

No. It was black and white marines. Where did you get your info?
❤
They do sound like soul brothers. That's why their music is called Blue Eyed Soul
Can just see the dancers doing the stroll!
Omg ignore the haters we all know some people's 'sensitivity level' is ridiculous these days! Keep up the great reactions👌
Colour matter for what talented people will be promoted (more so then than now), but talent still remains talent. And damn, were these two talented.

They caught so much hell over this it’s unreal
Soul .music is our inner emotions attached to our feelings and it applies to all people
