You should install a manifold proportioner so you don't have to always mix. Nice setup. I do house washing and hedge trimming and my customers love it. I trim their hedges a few times a year and automatically schedule them for their annual or every two year house wash, so I'm continuously making money from one house a few times a year.

Yeah 55 gallons on a roof that size is horrendous. Shouldn’t take more than 25 gallons. And 60 gallons on the house? Holy cow that’s a shit ton. I know it’s mixed so maybe only 20-30 gallons of SH but still that’s a ton. I can downstream that house with less than 3 gallons of SH. Save money on product. SH can get expensive. 55 gallon drum is $150 here so that’s a huge expense when you over use product

Mr. Nick yes we do. We have a 12 volt system to apply chemical and a pressure washer to rinse with. However we are now currently Downstreaming so just using the pressure washer

I noticed the nozzles in the surface cleaner are not oriented straight with the bar. It will run a lot better if the grooves in the tips are straight with the bar.

Powerful Improvements I’m always learning man but I can’t help but think that is wasteful. I just did 2 houses and a detached garage with only 3 gallons of SH. With your setup it sounds like you would need 15 gallons or so. Is there not a way you could get it done for much less? Especially batch mixing. When I first started I used a pump up sprayer 50/50 with 10% so that was like 5% mix and was using less than what I do downstreaming. I’m just curious is all. I want to start using a soft wash system for roofs and such but not if it requires 5x the amount of chems to do it.
Hi Joe, I have a question on the math to figure your (SH) percentage. I see there are two types of downstream injectors. One is a adams adjustable (20 to 1) and the non adjustable one is (10 to 1). Does that make a difference with the math? If so, how do i figure that out? I think i get the simple math now. Gallon size tank (60 gallon) ÷ by (SH) percentage using (12.5) = 4.8 Take the remainder (4.8) then times by percentage you need to apply (1%, 2% or 5%). I hope this is correct. 1. 4.8 x (1%) = 4.8 gallon of (SH) and 55.2 gallon of water. 2. 4.8 x (2%) = 9.6 gallon of (SH) and 50.4 gallon of water. 3. 4.8 x (5%) = 24 gallon of (SH) and 36 gallon of water. For the soap / surfactant do i need to use one ounce per gallon of (SH) that i use only? Or by the gallon of the tank size using? Again, I'm concerned on the two types of downstream injectors. Michael C your math above is correct if you are batch mixing for 12volt applications. Not correct for Downstreaming. Downstreaming 10/1 would pull 10% of whatever is in your bucket. So 12.5% straight shock would get 1.25% at the tip. 20/1 will be half that

Chris Reed There you go. Nothing about that ratio mix applies to the Xjet. If you are using an Xjet do not use the little colored plastic proportioner, just run wide open. Mix 3:1 = 3 gallons water 1 gallon SH

Try fan tip. It saves a lot of product. And also As long as the shingles are wet the SH Is doing its job👍🏽

Project One a normal size house will take 4-5 gallons of sh at a 1% ratio.

Project One do you know what percent you are applying on your house washes?
Powerful Improvements like I said 10:1 downstream so I use 12.5 SH and I do not delute it. Just straight so it is a little over 1% I’d say maybe less.
Tried deluting but it doesn’t clean at all so it is as strong as I can get it and it still clean.
How do you get 60gals. in a 55gal. tank?
