What crimes would Hopper (A bugs life), Lotso (Toy Story 3), Stinky Pete (Toy Story 2), Ernesto de la Cruz (Coco) and Charles Muntz (Up) be charged with?
A video examining what would Pixar villains be charged with if they were to be in court.

What's the sentence?
Fun fact: The lifespan of a grasshopper is around 1 year.
So the +45 Years at the end of his sentence are actually 15x more jail time than his three life sentences combined.
Also, at 7:40, it's kinda interesting that Stinky Pete only got a coercion charge when he threatened, then actively attempted to dismember Woody. But only due to toy physiology allowing Woody to be fixed afterwards.
I never understood the idea of multiple life sentences. People only have one life to live. Adding another life sentence is just a sentimentality at that point.
@@NoLongerNeedThisi belive that it can be due to appelation, if you have 2 live sentences, if you succefully appeal one of this, you will be still in prision because of the second one, but I could be wrong
@@NoLongerNeedThis life sentence is only like 20-25 years. It doesn't mean you're sentenced for life.

The silent addition of a life sentence to Muntz just sells how serious this moment is. Sure, there are other serious moments for these villains, but this had no comedy, no dramatic music, no grand reveal. Just a drop of a hat, and you are just left processing what is happening. I like it.

You know, you’re left wondering if their heads are still inside those helmets
I'd say switching Buzz to demo mode is a form of brainwashing, as Lotso essentially gave him amnesia and tricked him into thinking he was his boss at Star Command and his former friends were villains.
Lotso is basically like ad*lf hi*ler and kim jong un
Is brainwashing possible in the real world?
@@saintbrownthetrojanmaybe
@@saintbrownthetrojanPossibly, maybe through drugging or through hypnosis, but I can see why there isn't a sanctioned crime for it, it's just too shifty and unclear to define
Maybe it could be considered analogous to causing brain damage, which falls under mutilation?
Charles could also be charged for poaching since he did hunt and kill wild animals.
And an endangered species to boot.
Jury's out on whether those charges would stick outside of Kevin, as the animals he captured were undiscovered at the time, and his discoveries helped advance the scientific community. Plus, only one of the specimens is confirmed to have been killed by Muntz directly ("Used my shaving kit to bring him down."), with some like the original "monster of Paradise Falls" just being fossils.
Plus, animal conservation laws were different in the 1930s, and the few relevant laws that did exist would have had their statutes of limitations expired.
And poachers may be executed
And i also doubt he has a hunting license
No
I think the best part of these videos is that they're based off human crimes, laws and punishment (obviously) so Hopper's sentence is absolutely insane in terms of a grasshopper. Since grasshoppers can live up to a year at most, his first crime being breaking and entering being a year is already a life sentence, possibly more.
life sentence is 15 years, so... yeah.
its also a bit scuffed because its meant to be portraying a military, which doesn't exactly abide by the same laws.
The death sentences are legit tho

I noticed a few crimes Hopper committed that wasn't mentioned:
1. Possibly abuse of a minor by traumatizing Dot with Thumper
2. Assault on his brother Molt when he grabbed him by the antenna and bumping him against a wall
3. Aggravated assault when he punched another grasshopper cause of Molt still talking
4. Possible kidnapping by taking the Queen hostage
5. Terrorism
I feel like it can also be argued that he invaded a sovereign nation, rather than just breaking and entering

Actually, Muntz didn’t just kill the Surveyor and Botanist, we see *multiple* helmets, meaning he killed more than 2 people, so we can give him a serial killing charge.

@@despicablemelegend no, he was doing a crime (conspiracy to murder) but to make it creepy, usually there’s a vine boom and it’s big and red across the screen, but it wasn’t, so it was scary.

I like the silent addition of a life sentence for Charles Muntz out of respect for just how seamless and subtle the reveal of his villainy in Up is!
Oddly enough, Ernesto might be the first character on this show who can serve their full sentence, since he’s already dead.

Nah, the guy had the worst sentence in the movie: Being incarcelated in a small, dark and soundproof room. The bell.

True
I think you could add Buzz' brainwashing as a domestic abuse charge. The sentence, however, would be based on a psychiatrist's professional opinion.
I mean it feels like a stretch, but I see where you're coming from.
In my opinion, experience and through stuff I have read, I can 100% agree with the fact that Buzz was brainwashed. One book that convinced me was Enemy Combatant by Moazzam Begg.

Stinky Pete ripping Woody’s arm could be interpreted as mutilation, even if he knows it isn’t permanent
Muntz killed more than two of those people. Every helmet resembles one kill. I’m not sure how they were killed though. Either he dropped them from a high altitude from the airship, shot them with the Sharps rifle, or the dogs slaughtered them. Either way, that would give him the same charge that Ed Kemper and Jeffrey Dahmer had.
3:47 Yeah, a scam website is stealing
LOL I Never Trust Sponsers
Charles Muntz likely has a few other charges under his belt. The most obvious one is poaching as he's attempting to capture "Kevin" throughout the entire move. Also, I would wager that, seeing as there are more than 2 helmets in his speech that each of them might be someone he's killed. We can't really say for sure.
Finally, beyond arson, general property damage to the house (even the balloons) could be argued, even vandalism.
10:12 The fact it doesn't show the crime in you face immediately as he gives him a life sentence absolutely BONE CHILLING
10:50 I would also say that another charge would be encapturement of a endangered species.
Man I forgot about Hopper he's a very great villain though, intimidating yet cunning. Charles Muntz is also a great villain but his story is kinda sad tbh, from fame and success to going slightly insane from his quest to prove the bird existed. Great video again though!

You could also add an assault and battery charge for Lotso, since he had Buzz held down and had his back torn off, then switched to Demo. Buzz is also grunting and wincing in pain during this scene, so a torture charge could also work.

He *almost* burned them
I was expecting the death penalty was for usurping Sunnyside.
I think Charle's firearm charge could also count as attempted first degree murder since he was trying to bring down the house with the kid and the old man inside (I forgot their names)
Could also count as Property Damage, since they were not his balloons or house.
Old man - Carl, kid - Russel.

I loved how he charged an insect for attacking and oppressing other insects, and how he charged 2 toys for attacking and oppressing other toys, when insects and toys have no human rights. I also liked how he still also charged Ernesto with 2 more life sentences for crimes he did in the afterlife.
6:41 Pretty sure that would be classed as attempted murder since he knew that not pushing the button would lead to the death of the other toys and purposefully chose not to out of malice. It would have been negligence if he escaped onto the ledge but didn't see the button, or didn't know that there was fiery doom waiting at the end of the conveyer, or even if he did see the button and knew about the doom but pushing the button would have somehow put him in unreasonable danger. As it was, and considering how hostile he had been towards the other characters up until this point, I don't think a prosecutor would have any trouble selling an attempted murder charge to a jury. At least 3rd degree, but probably 2nd degree because of his prior interactions with the other toys involved.
At the very least it's negligent homicide.
I'm not too familiar with how what charge counts for what, but I'm curious. Could Stinky Pete also be charged with Mutilation, since he almost cuts Woody's arm off? this ain't just a "flesh" wound, he almost remove's Woody's arm, a few more strands would cut it off completely.
I'm surprised there wasn't some kind of poaching charge that could be applied to Charles.
Or mass enslavement because of his dogs.
@@blankblankness2971 I'm not sure if they were any more sentient than normal dogs, but I'm sure they're intelligent enough to take him to court and charge him for mass enslavement if they wanted

I feel like buzz being switched to demo mode should be charged as brainwashing, as Lotzo made him forget all his relations with friends, and had him join his side.
OKAY, let's get down to business! These Pixar villains are ones I've been WANTING to bust for a LONG TIME!
Maximum penalties for Pixar villains part 2:
Hopper: So we're off to a great start; Hopper is undoubtedly both one of Pixar's most notorious and DANGEROUS villains in the franchise. Not only he used others to gather food for him and his clan, he practically controlled the entirety of Ant Island and its kingdom, even though he took FULL control in the last third of the movie. He also committed treason on ALL of the levels to the ant kingdom and took his deathly wrath out on innocent ants of all ages, including The Queen and little Dot, and even his own allies. He's a power-hungry, violent and horrible tyrant of a bug and also cannot be alive any longer because of his crimes against the ants. I recommend he be executed via the same way he met his demise in the movie involving the bird. Something the Romans call *"Damnatio ad bestias"!!!
Lotso**: Even though he has a tragic backstory which is understandable to think of his feelings of betrayal, what he did at Sunnyside Daycare and to all those other toys is inexcusable and unforgivable. Lotso will have no choice but to face the consequences for his crimes against toykind and possibly humanity. From what I've seen of how Lotso shows no mercy at tormenting, torturing and even resorting attempting to kill others with pleasure, he is a big danger to toys and society and therefore must be given a taste of his own medicine; life imprisonment in a toy jail of any kind, with a SLIM possibility of parole if he somehow comes to his senses and shows remorse. If he doesn't though and remains this insane, spiteful and malicious toy, he'll never see another day outside his cell....
"Stinky" Pete: The thing is, Pete actually does have a point with his idea of toys being damaged and eventually thrown away and almost foreshadowing the events in Toy Story 3, but unfortunately his ideas are actually pointless if a toy is treated the right way and still committed crimes thus making him a delusional individual. I would recommend Pete be jailed for 9 and a half years with a fine of $3000 and visits from a psychologist as he serves his time.
Ernesto de la Cruz: Senor de la Cruz's downfall will be the most spectacular in Mexican history and one of the most in music history altogether. Not only he killed his best friend and the true star, he manipulated the public into becoming a national treasure, just like Rolf Harris, and even tried to murder an innocent young boy whom he had no connection to. His star-studded reputation will disintegrate, his songs and albums will be destroyed and erased, or maybe perhaps reclaimed by Hector Rivera since he is the true musician, and he will become a disgrace to the music world. He will now spend 45 years behind bars in the Land of the Dead....and life as a has-been. No one will remember you now, Senor!
Charles F. Muntz: Another one of Pixar's most wanted. If he is capable of killing 2 people, attempting to kill 2 others including a child and committing other terrible offenses all because he wanted to fix his now destroyed reputation, not to mention that since it was the reason he went back to Paradise Falls and went insane in the first place, then he probably deserved to be kicked out of the National Explorer's Society if this was bound to happen. The once-prominent pioneer of the 20th century is now a danger to society and will spend the rest of his miserable life as a disgrace and locked up in federal prison till the day he dies. He will be erased from history with his books scrapped, his artifacts, treasures and belongings including his airship auctioned off or perhaps even sold to Mr Carl Fredricksen, his dogs impounded and his rank as a famed explorer stripped of. This time, FOREVER....***
*The act of executing someone by wild animals and Latin for "condemnation to beasts".
**Short for Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear
***Though according to a video by Crazy Nate, he could also possibly face charges of fraud and deception according to an Easter Egg in the movie. Something to do with a newspaper article....
For Hopper: He's an Abusive Dictator
For Pete: Intimidated Toy
For Ernesto De La Cruz: Chrismatic Singer
For Charles F. Muntz: Determined Hunter (Also Vengeful and Misunderstood)
So the thing with Hopper and the extortion is that 15 years is one person. It'd be a lot more if you include how many counts of it there are. I'd say he should get 15 years for each ant, but at the very least, I'd say it's two counts of extortion because it's towards both the queen and Princess Atta.
(Also love these videos!)
Good to see that Stinky Pete's joining the Oncelor and Chef Skinner in the *manage-to-carry-out-their-sentences* club
No way this guy accepted a sponsor from temu wtf
10:45 if he's gone mad, wouldnt insanity plea work
An insane person wouldn't be able to pull of shit that he did
On the Charles muntz in that scene there was also conspiracy to commit murder. Because he involved and mentioned his name when he labeled off people he took out then said Carls name knocking off the helmet.
Which is 20 years and a $25,000 fine.
We got it guys, the second villain without death/life sentence!
11:34 It's not accurate to cite British law for this as Charles Muntz is an American Citizen, and the movie takes place in a South American country.

@@skrebdog Ahh Thank you, Perhaps He'll Serve life Imprisonment
Don’t forget stinky Pete Transferred to Amy
*Final sentences*
Hopper: 2 death, 3 life, 45 years
Lotso: 2 life, 174 years
Stinky Pete: 17.5 years
Ernesto de la Cruz: 3 life, 25 years, $250,000 fine
Charles Muntz: 3 life, 54 years
63 Years for Charles Because of Arson Man
You forgot about Hopper committing assault against another grasshopper when Molt angers him.
I believe Lotso's Gross Negligence should be upgraded to mass murder since him refusing to stop the incinerator served his prior attempts at killing the crew.
bro sold out for temu😭😭😭
Wouldnt pete chopping woody be a crime? Thats technically his flesh, assault with a deadly weapon?
Also if buzz got reset and did lots-os work could that count as enslavement or coercion? Or at least taking advantage of buzz not remembering anything?
All the villains in the video: *rotting away in prison and serving death sentences
Stinky Pete: Oh no, anyway
Stinky Pete nearly made Woody’s arm fall off- that’s gotta be more than coercion!!! 😂😭😭
He’s back!!!
You should've charged hopper for child endangerment because he was gonna let the crazy grasshopper hurt dot at the beginning of the movie
You could also argue for Charles Muntz that him attempting to capture the bird would be labeled as a crime. Since its implied to be the only one of its kind (including its babies) on paradise falls, if it were discovered in real life it would have been labeled as an endangered species, and Charles is very clearly employing harmful methods to capturing it and removing it from its natural habitat including using hunting dogs which hurt its leg, using that net, and almost killing it with a shotgun. With all that he would've gotten the maximum sentence and a hefty fine.
(Aside Syndrome, Hopper and the Cars 2 villains) Pixar Villains definitely get off easy compared to Disney and Dreamworks lol!
