- We did it! Through 5 epic videos we've managed to chronologically critique EVERY SINGLE Marvel Legend ever made by Toybiz.

these figures are some of my earliest childhood memories, I remember my dad getting me all the series 1 figures.. the detail that went into these figures and the extras you got with them were really special
I strive to be as cool as your dad.
I remember having sinister 6 box set, the venom figure in that was 👌

Marvel legends icons venom is better in my opinion
David, as a kid I had the Silver Surfer without Howard variant. That variant had a chrome painting and would turn silver when light hit him, his board was longer and he came with a first appearance comic book. His figure and board was also magnetic instead of pegs, which was REALLY cool. You could even put him on the fridge since the magnets were so strong, making it look like he was surfing on your fridge or surfaces
Man I love that they used magnets in the board and feet. You wouldn't find Hasbro going that extra mile unfortunately. That old figure really was a classic!
I’m so glad you said about the Daredevil movie! I love that movie it’s definitely a guilty pleasure, one of the very few films I’ve kept the DVD for
I'm one of the Daredevil fan base here, especially the directors cut.
I 100% agree, I mean it’s goofy but I don’t think it’s horrrible. It’s not painful like Fant4stic or Ghost Rider 2

I think the last Marvel Legends I had was the Ultimate Iron man. I loved the suit design, the metallic red is great.
Given that Blackheart has always been a favorite design of mine ever since I was young and played Ultimate Alliance growing up, I've recently picked up a Blackheart figure of my own!
He looks amazing next to the 13" inch Surtur and with the other Marvel Legends figures! Still holds up today!
(Except for his dinosaur feet. Use a stand that can plug into the holes of his feet)
A new version would be appreciated!
Looking to pick up all the legends from 2002-2006 because they all came with comic books, an i have such nostalgia for them since growing up my dad had all the series 1 figures but this video definitely has aided me so i know what im looking for to complete each set

I had so many of these when I was younger, only kept a few. I bought a lot that I had again recently, including Galactus and most of the fantastic 4 heroes and villains. I still have my original Hasbro Fin fang foom, though!
I've been desperate to find information on a Toybiz Ben Riley vs. Venom two pack dated 2004. I was hoping to hear something about it here, but I'll keep searching. Awesome content!!! The photos and history of the line were top-notch!!
Hey thanks brother. I’m as big a Ben Reilly fan as you’ll ever find but I’ve never heard of that two pack. I don’t think it exists to my knowledge. I recommend checking out legendsverse.com they’re a great archive of Marvel legends.

i love the toybiz diorama pieces that came with the figures. I bought the phoenix, daily bugle news ad, and the daredevil church glass just to go with my legends

This is so cool! I still have the original first three with the dioramas (and probably the comics somewhere) to this day! Never knew they were the first ones until now! So cool!

Man good memories of going to toys r us with my grandparents and me and my brother would rush to the marvel legends and always gush and awe over them simpler times thanks Dave for the amazing content you put out I remember we got the urban legends box set and we had to split the figures of which ones he got and which ones I got lol this happened with a few of the box sets I’m proud to say marvel legends brought me and him together since he was a few years older also divided us over remembering who’s was whos
I’ve debated getting some of these just for the stands.
The stands are lovely. Take up a lot of shelf space though!
Toad is my favourite. Because imagine walking down a pond one day and seeing this weird creepy quasimodo guy on the other side looking at you while holding a Toad XD

everything from the Annihilus wave on was Hasbro. Also that first ghost rider was the Dan Ketch Version and he came with Issue 2 of the second volume not the first.

(43:09) How awesome is it that you say we are in desperate need of a new Meistro and he’s currently up for pre-order less than half a year later :) To be fair, he really was overdue since we’ve now gotten two different Old Man Logan figures from Hasbro. Like Wild-Child from AoA, they were pretty much telling us that AoA Sabretooth and Miestro were on their way soon..

In the annihilus wave there is a very white queen and a variant Iron Man that is War Machine and White Queen and Diamond form

The first for cap Iron Man Hulk and Toad were only $8 at toy Biz I picked them my cousin bought them then he didn't want them and gave them to me and that's how I became a Marvel Legend collector

@DisplayingModelBehaviour it's all good brother . I always tell people if u can bypass the body proportions of the toybiz marvel legends you get so much more in ,sculpt, deco and even articulation . I mean you can't really fault toybiz for that, since the figures were made 20 years ago. Just the fact that people compare them says alot to the work they were doing back then.
Ash Williams (Army of darkness) have more equivalents of Ghost Rider, Iron Man, Thor, Hercules, Captain America, Hulk and dr strange from others dimensions, Ash or Guts / Gatsu (berserk) have the Armor godkiler or Tittanium Man, Psylocke made the Love with Ash, It would be more Groovy Marvel Legends would make more figures 30 cm has more articulation than the titans heroes series and does not cost much than the Hot Toys

Hmmm I'm not sure about the 2004 Spidey figures. Maybe they weren't officially Legends. I'm honestly not certain what the deal is with them!
Hasbro released the Sandman BAF series in 2007 that was all movie versions released as a Marvel Legends series. The earlier Spider-man movie figures were released by Toy Biz under the Spider-man Classics banner. I think. They weren't Marvel Legends at any rate.

I love the baf that marvel legends has but I would much rather have a comic with the figure. The marvel legends from back then are away better looking
Ooh gosh you prefer the look of the old ones? That's a fair opinion though I must say I prefer the modern look. Still the accessories and details of the older ones do blow away what we have now.

I still have my Juggernaut, Modern Armour Iron Man, Cable and Silver Surfer with Howard (lost the board) from back then. The only one from that period that I bought back then that I don't still have (he broke) is Silver Century Iron Man.

@@DisplayingModelBehaviour absolutely, I agree. I've even bought another of the Cable (I have almost all of his Legends figures) and the Juggernaut (so I could use his head for the newer Juggernaut). Two of my all-time favourite figures.

I like the movie Daredevil and I bought a whole bunch of movie Daredevil for a little hook pegs for my other figures the movie Daredevils were on sale for like $5 sometimes to Dollars $3 at the flea market or at the toy Biz they were like five bucks I Would by like 4 just for the pegs

Crazy how it took a while for them to release a Spider-Man on its own. They were mostly put in the box sets. Maybe it’s because of the Spider-Man classics sister line?

Spider-Man and his villain rarely appeared in Marvel Legends because they started off in Spider-Man Classics, so there was no incentive to put them into Marvel Legends.
Epic video, David. Imo Hasbro should give us bases that Toy Biz once had done as well as cloth goods.
Some bases would definitely help posing but i would be perfectly happy with just plain ones so the displays don't look too miss matched.

Ah man, I'm not sure I'm at all familiar with those. I think that maybe they are done in completely the same style but they don't carry the Legends name? I'm not sure that's only a guess as to why they might not have been included. I'll have to do some more research. Thanks so much for watching and bringing that to my attention!

I don't think it was a variant that was released with the series, though. At least here in the U.S., if I remember correctly, the diamond form was released later as a Toys 'R' Us exclusive.
