Yeah his advice in the thresh game was acctually pretty good aswell, but it still doenst change that he falsely advertises his coaching and in general (this one is not factual unlike the first statement but my subjective opinion) doesnt coach that well and mostly backseat games, i honestly feel him watching replays would be way more beneficial for his customers since he seems to analyze more and less just micro his students without teaching them anything.

It's the classic issue of why a lot of people can't climb out of diamond. They then believe they are good, and blaim anything but themselves. That's how you stop improving. Pay attentiion next time you're watching real high elo players, you'll hear them reflect on situations, wondering what they should improve to not make it happen agai. At first I felt desperate to shake him by the shoulders to wake him up, but as time went on Neace noticed that nothing worked. No amount of shaking would wake him up. The blame was deflected and his delusion set in stone.
At the end Neace clearly felt sorry for the man, and tried to genuinely help him by giving him down to earth advice.

SOMETIMES it can be understandable, like I for example was stuck in gold for since season 6 and bronze, silver in seasons 4 and 5 respectively.
Since season 7 I knew I could hit diamond if i wanted to but just didn't wanted to waste so much time on league (normally i play like 20-30 ranked games per season).
This season i'm proving that and i'm about 16 games away from diamond.
In the past i've played multiple official tournaments with my friends and won some of them even against Challenger players so i had multiple occasions to learn more and i have proof of it in form of Triumphant Ryze skin. Even played against global rank 1 Brand player once (we lost that one but the game was 57 minutes).
When there's 4 of us we go Normal Draft and just yesterday we were playing against a Chall and 2 Grandmasters, 2 Diamonds lobby and won that in 22 minutes.
Our teams currently consists of 3 high emerald, 1 diamond and 1 silver player and even he manages to play well enough against E1-D1 lobbies (we're commonly thrown in high MMR lobbies cause in full squads we have above 75% WR) even tho he sometimes gets confused at what's happening
Currently my WR is 64% and 67% respectively on the 2 champs i'm playing which are Morgana mid/sometimes jungle and Shaco jungle (Most of the times AP),
sometimes i play something goofy like lethality Ashe mid or AP MF mid if my picks are banned (i still won my lanes with KDA above 3.0 and my total WR with these picks is 66%)
Difference being, i know my champs, i know enemy champs, i know early CD's, I know champion scaling, powerspikes, level up timers, jungle pathing, jungle timers, wards, objective prios, wave management and setting up lane for ganks.
My farming is mediocre most of the time (6.5-7 minions per minute) but i'm trying to make up for it with presence on map
I can see mistakes i make and places where i'm still mid at best and i'm trying to correct it next game.
Also i'm not relying on junglers, if i have my lane set up and jungler comes that's good but if he doesn't that's also okay, for certain i'm not gonna blame my jungler for me losing my lane as that's completely on me and he's doing his things (which is a common things i can see ADC players do, protag syndrome I guess, for 99% certainty I can say they're the most toxic players)
This shows that anyone stuck for seasons in low elo can easily hit high elo if they actually want to in span of one season, just gotta to actually start learning the game instead of blaming it on something else, champion mechanics cap at gold anyway and the rest of the climb is learning macros

    • @theornament
      @theornament ปีที่แล้ว

@@scoper7897 First of all, it's not a mental illness, no way. For example, I'm the kind of person that gets heated when you confront him about past mistakes. It's something that I find difficult to control, but I'm not an NPC, I like to always think logically, so when I calm down I accept where they are coming from and learn. A lot of these people have similar tendencies, they just hate to get told what to do. I'm not excusing their behavior whatsoever, at the end of the day like would they pay for something knowing they won't like what they will hear.
The reason I'm saying it's not a mental illness is because this happens in real life ALL the time. Go out there and confront people about their past and current mistakes and most of them will start going overboard with the excuses and victimizing themselves, and to be honest most human beings go through shit like that, the problem is that a lof of people can't get out of the victim mentality and never achieve anything in life. It's not just league.

You can probably imagine how it happened.

I've seen lots of players and challengers don't get stuck in bronze. They just do better all around and move up, even with crummy teams. I like watching these videos cause they are very relatable
I'm a low elo scrub and here's my story:
after consistently hitting gold 4 for 3 seasons, this year I was hardstuck silver 2, actually dropped to bronze 3 twice and climbed back... usually I'd hit gold 4 after like 1 month and stop playing ranked cause I already got the skin, but after 100 or so games in this silver "hell" (keep in mind I play like 4 games per day I don't really have much free time) I made a new account, enjoyed myself leveling it on ARAM and went to promos as soon as I hit level 30... decided to play focused this time, disabled chat completely and only used pings, switched from support to adc because it's my second favorite role, avoided dying as much as possible during lane (been consitently leaving lane phase with 2 deaths at max and usually only die when I get ganked or trade kills when I think it's worth it), payed attention to fights before joining them (where is enemy katarina? do we actually win this? what are we fighting for, drake? herald? first tower?) so basically I put my brain to use.
During promos I was consistently being matched with gold 3~plat 4 players and thought it was a promo thing, then I finished promos silver 1 (already above my 'hardstuck' account), kept playing focused and got to gold 4 in about 2 days (keep in mind, once again, I play around 4 games per day and I'm not amazing at the game, I know I'm gold level at best), but then realized on loading screen and looking at opgg I'm still getting matched with golds and occasionally plats
when I lose like 3 games in a row I notice I get matched with gold 4s and 3s at best, if I win 2~3 in a row I go back being matched with gold 2~plat 4 players... btw I play champs that are "easy to execute" like tristana and twitch
It was a nice experiment, I think I'm done with ranked for a while and will wait for the reset this month, then I'll aim for gold 1 after the reset, but honestly just learning I can consistently win games in gold and get my victorious skin is enough for me, I already play yugioh competitively and don't see the point to try so hard in league when I'm already trying hard in another game (also league isn't as rewarding lmao)
TLDR: I never took league too seriously, that's why I was stuck in silver for so long. I'm glad I can hit gold easily now.

A teacher once told me "the moment you think that you know everything is the moment you stop learning" and that's exactly what's happening with this guy right here, he's been playing for a decade and for 10 years he thinks he deserves challenger and he has not stopped once to think that maybe he isn't so good and to start to think of ways to improve and it's obvious because he bought the coaching not because he thinks he needs it, but because he wants neace to agree with him because he wants that extra validation that in the end has put him in this delusion

That was like a train wreck. I didn't want to watch the horror unfold but I couldn't look away.
