Hi Justin. I am an architect and longtime user of sketchup as my primary design iteration tool, together with autocad for construction documentation in 2D. I am increasingly moving into more geometrically complex designs, and am interested to bypass autocad for documentation in layout. My question to you is how to control geometry precisely when modeling shapes like the one in this video. The rigor of built construction - responsibility for directing every downstream step through completion, including numerous other people, with accountability for cost and execution, means that getting the geometry to "look about right" is as good as not doing it at all. Your videos are great and much appreciated. However, as with other instructional content I have found for more "advanced" sketchup modeling of more complex shapes, they seem geared towards producing models that will only ever be digital creations - that don't bear this burden of being planning tools for construction. Perhaps this is embedded in the DNA of Sketchup, which would be a shame, as it is such a great tool in so many other ways. Thoughts? Content out there that I am missing?
I have the tool set up and manage to make it work once. Then the next day tried again, the same process, but to no avail. I've tried again on several different models and run into issues at the pressure stage. I type in pressure, i.e. -9, and then nothing happens. Any idea what could be going wrong? It's too good a tool to give up on. Huge thanks.
hi, first of all really big up for your work! i don't know why, when i try to put some pressure the program start to crumple up my shape like an infinity loop.
Hey sir justin, I just have a question. I downloaded that soap bubble plugin last 2019 and it was working well. Last 2020 I didn't use soap bubble.. Now, I needed to use soap bubble, but when I tried it, I got an error message saying "Timelimit finished" ... What does it mean? Does it mean that my soap bubble plugin is already expired? Is this soap bubble has an expiration?
Hello Sir, this video is very helpful to us. i have a issue in this plugin. i am using sketchup version 2017. when i applied this plugin, show me a message " time limit finished". How i can use it. Please help me about this message.
