  • Recently, we received some questions on Instagram about Bra Bohag, literally translated to Fine Household Goods. If you're interested in Swedish furniture design, you've probably seen this logo on Swedish mid-century pieces, even though they're produced by several different manufacturers. Whether it's an Øresund bookshelf by Børge Mogensen, a Te-Ve chair by Alf Svensson, or a teak sideboard by Nils Jonsson, they might all have a Bra Bohag sticker underneath. In fact, as you will soon discover, some of the most iconic pieces in Swedish design history were sold by Bra Bohag. Strangely, there is very little information available in English, which is why we're doing this video. We will also show you a lot of wonderful pictures, found in old Bra Bohag catalogs.

Very interesting. Would you be able to produce something on Den Permanente in Copenhagen? I hope you haven't already done one which I have missed!

Duxiana beds suck! Their claim to fame is using "natural latex" in their mattresses. What they won't tell you is that latex is derived from rubber and when latex oxidizes, it turns yellow and crumbles into dust. My hideously expensive Duxiana mattress lasted for only 3 years before the latex started falling out of my mattress. I had yellow latex all over my bedroom floor. My extra expense $1,000 latex topper lasted less than this before I had to throw it in the trash. Duxiana tries to cover up the discoloration of their mattresses by using dark, grey covers. Duxiana's mattresses are stealthy and sleek but they are a money pit. The cheap pine wood frame uses staples to hold the wood together too. Duxiana's warranty is draconian. Their "limited warranty" covers the springs only. Do NOT buy a mattress from Duxiana.
