I really appreciate your videos, and i appreciate the deliberateness of your delivery. I also thought the shot tracer on the shot you hit was a nice addition as I have wished you would have had the shot tracer on many of your other videos! Great instruction on a wide variety of topics; I'm very grateful for all the information I've gained from your channel. Cheers Chris!
Chris, my trouble is that my heart rate jumps and I feel anxious starting about an hour before the competition begins. An hour in and everything goes back to normal. This is the first year of my life that I have ever felt this tension and the crazy part of that is ..that I am playing better now than I have ever before. But, even though, I have two wins this year thanks to hitting my drives about 20 yards further ... thanks to your videos added with a little Mike Austin .. he said what to do .. you said how to do it !!! Anyway ,,, this anxious feeling is killing me in my competitive rounds .. the damage is done by the time I get my heart rate down and my swing back to normal. The worst of it is, that it makes no sense at all, since I know I am capable of playing better than I have in my entire life to this point .. And in practice rounds I'm killing it .. 6 birdies and two lip outs for birdie in a practice round a week ago. Even talking about it here, I can feel the tension in my forearms and triceps building up ... HELP! jimfenn
Thank you for the tip of placing the club head on the ground and should pick it up slightly to release tension in the arms. This may be one of the tips I have been looking for as there are a few swings during a round that I top the ball. This may help. I will try.
Chris a general question would like your opinion/advice. My mate was playing fairly decent golf to a good solid 8 hcp up to about 3 months ago, but for some reason unknown to him his game has slipped in all areas and now he has lost all motivation to play as the harder he tries the worse it seems to get. He's decided to take a long break as he's just not enjoying it despite putting in practice to solve it, what should he do?? Jeff
Love your simple and efficient swing, Chris. Question: Do you feel your left lat stretching in the backswing and then contracting (smoothly and sequentially) in the downswing? I've noticed your lat gets pretty defined, especially during the transition.
Cheers for the Video clip! Sorry for chiming in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you heard the talk about - Paneevelyn Swinging Clubsman (google it)? It is a good one of a kind guide for revealing an effortless golf swing technique without the headache. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my buddy got cool success with it.
instructers can talk and talk... golf movement feel, swing tempo, grip pressure, relaxed muscle control is not easy to learn. My grip took a year to get comfortable with, (changed from interlock to overlap). I learned how to relax my hands & that's where it all starts. I would pick up a 7 iron every day & swing with varying degrees of hand pressure until I felt the club would come out of my hands (why a glove is so important). When I understood the feel I never forgot it. The 2nd most important piece for a relaxed swing is tempo...practice slowing it down; slow-motion movements & exaggerated pause at the top. Do this every day to train your body. A golf club is a whip, not a bat.
Excellent ideas, I am rebuilding my routine, need to buy my new glove to remind me, already putting them into play on the range, first test in 10 days time
When I do a back swing properly that is when I feel tightness in my arms and hands. My arms and hands are not feeling tight when I bend my left arm more than I should.
Can you please help, every time I practice holding lag, I shank the shot. Every time... I have watched numerous videos on lag and I just cant seem to get it right. Awesome videos. Keep it up.
If you're holding on with your hand to try to produce lag, you're shanking because the clubface is coming through open and the hosel is the only thing that can hit the ball. You have the wrong concept of lag.

Great tips.
Show me a lesson on the speed of your downswing when using your driver and irons is it at 80% when hitting the ball. Great videos keep them coming.
I’m tense as a hard man in a padded room
Is this the first shot Chris is not "happy with" ?
I believe it is.
Ha! It's ok Chris.
Too much blabber. Just go to 7:18-7:34 to get the essentials.
