    Thanks Rich for walking the talk; being transparent with the hows, the whys and the wheretos. P&Ps, Namaste.

    I actually loved the fish chalk blackboard as background. A good (friendly) place to rest the eyes while listening....

    Thanks! I've been waiting for this very video. Love to the look of your studio and how the show is edited. QUESTION(s): Is your studio in your home? How do you make guests comfortable coming to your studio? Are guests compensated in any way by you? Thanks again.

    • @richroll
      @richroll  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks. Yes studio is in my home. I make them feel welcome with gratitude. And NO I have never ever compensated a guest to come on the show and I never will. Guests come on because they want to come on. That’s it.

    Got a little bit triggered that this video is not 11:11 in length :D so clooooseee man ;-) btw: awesome content! I`m 31 right now, got sober and went vegan.

      Haha I feel you ! However, it's hard to pull off and too random a detail to really pursue. The uploaded file and what the youtube player shows is often +/- 1 second, sometimes even more. I have a 22:22 video that literally jumps between 22:22 and 22:23 while loading the TH-cam player.

      yeah man :D it was a joke to emphasize the obviously blown out of proportion hippie culture :D

    Leonardo da Vinci wrote most of his notes 'mirror' style right to left... you have to use a mirror to read them.

    alright , I LOVE YOU , and here's the thing , you're not only super-fit ( SPECTACULAR ) , and are able to do what others only may dream of doing , BUT YOU'RE SO SMART , AND THERE'S NO MEANNESS IN YOU ! AGAIN , I LOVE YOU , I LOVE THE WAY YOU LIVE , I LOVE THE WAY YOU DO THINGS , AND I THANK GOD , THAT HE'S USING YOU AS A LIGHTHOUSE TO GUIDE OTHERS TO A BETTER PLACE ! YOUR LIFE MAKES EVERYONE ELSE'S LIFE BETTER ! maybe there's poetic destiny in your name ?

    Great studio. But it is not clear, why then so much expensive equipment, if you can give everything on an iPhone? You often talk about the Stoics...

    • @richroll
      @richroll  6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Good question. My point is that budget shouldn't serve as an excuse or constrain the creative process. I began my show 6+ years ago with a super low fi setup -- my audio was likely poorer than the current smart phone can deliver. As the show grew and began generating revenue I I wanted to deliver the highest quality audio for my growing audience without going too overboard. As my show is now a central / focal point of my professional career (as opposed to a hobby), I can justify allocating revenue generated by the show for equipment that delivers a very high quality product without going overboard by investing in all kinds of other expensive audio equipment (compressors, pre-amps, soundboards, etc.)

      @Diammama 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@richroll thank you for the answer. Is this a growing audience request? Is it spoiled?)
