    Dude, thanks for this tutorial. I can't thank you enough. I 9 minutes you made me learn what I didn't learn by myself in basically 2 days. Seriously. This Maschine software is insanely complex. I hate they tried to create a freaking DAW rather than just relying on what everybody uses. thanks!

    Not sure if this has been mentioned but you just use Maschine 2 by itself then export all the audio. Everything will be separate including the drums, then you can mix it properly. You don't want to mix all the drums together.

      Yes you can. Stefan Guy published a video tutorial on using the Machine w/ Logic. And his tutorial, he showed how to use the machine micro MK three with logic pro. He showed how to export the media data to their own individual tracks and then call of the sounds from machine plug-in in logic pro. It’s pretty dope. I mostly prefer to use this option also or method also so that I can have more control over everything

    How do you organize kit elements for export though? As in kick on audio track 1, Snare on audio track 2, snare on audio track 3 etc etc? Would make it difficult to mix otherwise I think. I'm sure there is a perfectly good workflow to cater to this but it isn't obvious on first look.

    How can I drag each drum sample separately to Logic? I like so separate them for mixing purposes

    • @somestreetphotos
      @somestreetphotos  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a great question! If you go in your Maschine plug-in inside logic, go down to where your sample has been played in. It should default to viewing the whole kit and having a bunch of individual orange blocks all over the place. Go over to the side of the played in view, to where there is a little mini icon of a piano, click this icon. This puts the plug-in in keyboard mode and is used for altering the pitch of the sample. Without clicking or dragging anything (unless you also want to change the pitch of the sample) use the export audio button, the same button I used in the video to get the audio file into logic, drag it into your project file to an unmuted audio track or below all existing tracks to create a new one, and there you go! You have your individual sample as an audio file inside of logic! Hope this helped! Let me know if you run into any more issues!

    Good day Mr Wilson, I have a question. First of all thanks for the review and your honest opinion about the Maschine. It's hard to find people who are not influenced in any kind of way. I want to start with digital based music and found this Maschine online. Do you really have to have a MIDI keyboard or is the Maschine all you need?

    • @somestreetphotos
      @somestreetphotos  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much! I’ll do my best to always be unbiased, people look for honest reviews but rarely get them lol I have a midi keyboard as well and honestly I could see not needing it. Just last night, I started making electronic music with the Maschine and I wasn’t even intending to which was super cool! Since the Maschine has a keyboard and chord mode, I feel like you wouldn’t really need a midi keyboard, I certainly have used mine less and less. That being said, since you are just starting, it may be good for you to start with a midi and then move up to the Maschine, or have both. I come from a music background and already know my way around a keyboard, chords, and melody, but if you’re just starting it may be a good idea to have a keyboard as well. This is the one I use - www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/LPK25--akai-professional-lpk25-mini-key-midi-controller
      You could also go for this one which has keys and pads so you don’t feel like you’re missing out or if you can’t afford to buy the keyboard and Maschine - www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MPKmini2--akai-professional-mpk-mini-mkii-keyboard-controller
      For the record I’ve never used the second one BUT I know a lot of people that have it and love it.
      I hope all of this helps!! Let me know if you ever need anything else!

    • @somestreetphotos
      @somestreetphotos  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I find it’s easier with less steps to just use the Maschine 2 plug in and transfer the audio from there. Could totally be personal preference but that’s just what I found to be the best way. Thanks for bringing that up though, I’ll look into it!

    When I click and drag the audio into logic the audio clips and is too loud. Why might I be having this problem?

    • @OfficialDeSpecialist
      @OfficialDeSpecialist 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      2 possible reasons. 1 is that you havent turned down the volume of the kits u dragged into maschine. every kit is mostly mix and mastered so its always good to turn the volumes down on each channel. secondly you once you drag it into logic, its a good idea to mute the channel the maschine controller is on.becuase it sometimes acts a doubler and keeps playing the loop in the maschine software as well as the dragged audio. hope that helps

      I guess you would just need to mute the other instruments and then drag in midi that way? i.e. create your beat in Maschine, mute everything but kick, then drop in midi kick. Create new channel then do with snare and so on....? Just bought one and it's fucking ace!!

      @somestreetphotos  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry I didn't see this before! I think if traveling and portability is any sort of plus for you then you need to go for the Mikro, hands down. I don't think there's enough of an advantage with the full size mk3 to justify the pain of carrying it around. That being said, if you're more stationary and have the budget, I don't see why not! You get 2 functional, pretty screens as well as finer knob controls so if you can swing it, I say go for it!
