    I just bought the Maschine Mikro MK3 and the Komplete A25 for $350 for both out the door at Guitar Center (had a sale and I could not pass it up). Thought about the A49, but in the end, if I need more keys, Ill use my LaunchKey or MAudio. I got these because my desk space is a premium and the size of both of them next together is perfect.

    Definitely looking at this, as it is a DAW and a box in one for cheaper than most DAWs. So far I am only using Ableton live lite, as I do not need a whole bunch of tracks. Think it is going to be a perfect combo for a more minimalist setup and production. Would be great to go for the bigger versjon tho for the interface and connections, but that would be for a later time.

    I have seen upwards of 10 to 11 reviews on the Mikro MK3 and this was far and away the best. While I won’t be buying the Mikro, because I have the Maschine MK3... I now am comfortable making recommendations to my peers based on this comprehensive review. Ty 🙏🏽

    This thing is PERFECTLY priced. I’m getting one based on what I’ve been doing with the very limited iMaschine on iPad. The sound packs KNOCK!!!! Looks like the perfect combination of stand-alone(even though it’s not) and DAW-like you say. Still a shame there’s no iPad integration with iMaschine-even though iMaschine projects export right to Maschine desktop.

    Coming in on the ground floor! I've been researching and I think I'm going to snatch this up. Being a musician its hard to get the whole band together to get ideas and workflows down. Having this will help keep the creative ideas flowing, keeping the band from being dependent on a piece that's missing from a practice or rehearsal. I heard the learning curve can be tough not sure if thats true? However, I'm up for the challenge to keep the music flowing. God Bless thanks for the Video..

      I know I'm late but the main difference between the Mikro Mk3 and just using a daw with a midi keyboard is how fun the Mikro mk3 can be. it's so versatile and easy once you get the hang of it, that it is almost as if you are learning a brand new instrument. Great video. I should be receiving the Mikro 3 today and can't wait to dive into the whole Maschine software and start learning the software & creating beats. I was torn between purchasing the MK3 or purchasing the Mikro MK3 and I decided I would take baby steps & buy the Mikro MK3 which is a steal in my opinion for the cost, design, included software , and portability of the Mikro 3 as well as the ability to use the Maschine software as a VST inside FL Studio. Thank you for posting the links to help out us FL users. On a separate note, do you have a contact or someone that can shed some light on the Musecrate/veterans charity for hurricaine relief efforts? As a veteran I assumed this was a great opportunity to help and take part in a worthwhile charitable event but it seems as though the main people who set this in motion or what not has ghosted on us. If you have any new info could you let me know what's up with the big event and musecrate.

  • @josephkissel6062

    Recently, bought used MK3 and Mikro from a retailer with return policy to see what each truly had to offer. At a fourth of the price, if the Mikro could satisfy my needs (have an MK1 but it got obsoleted). Story short, it does. What I came down to is: I'm not looking for Maschine to be any kind of centerpiece of music production but a way to add percussion to my songs in a DAW. So in that, I like the scaled down look of Mikro as the screens and the extra group buttons can look a bit much in a studio that isn't dominated by Vegas mode instruments.

      No Midi mode is a deal breaker. The only way you can use it with other daw right now is to use maschine as a vst. They should be more up front about it. Their help page is still saying that all their controllers can be used in midi mode while it's no longer true.

I always liked the pads on my maschine but never evolved past using my computer and Ableton mostly and using a few of the functions. This seems perfect for my current setup.I have a ton of NI stuff already so this will already work with it. My mark 1 was struggling with all the new functions that have been added over the years so this might’ve just the right thing.

    ACID Music Studio OMG finally I found some one talking about that XD actually that is the only DAW I bought, sadly that doesn't support control surface so you can't use many things on the MIDI devices, I bought an Oxygen Pro 61 because that can send keyboard short-cuts on the pads to compensate that limitation on ACID Music Studio.
    I'm interested because that will be a nice pair with my M32

    What they fail to mention is that the midi controller mode is essentially useless , since they didn't bother to create an editor patch for it. Even though You can "activate" this mode, it does not allow you to send midi cc messages or do anything except use the pads to play one octave of notes.

    • @Landmarq
      @Landmarq  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would say the biggest difference is functionality. If you have an MPC, you know how great it is to create full tracks on the MPC alone. With the MK3 and the Mikro, you need a computer, but with the mikro you need to rely much more on the computer to complete you project. I would say the MK3 will fit more into your workflow than the mikro, simply because of your experience with the MPC

    Hello, I like the video, thanks. I subscribed.
    In 2012 I bought the original maschine and still have the controller, but not the software, if I bought this do you think I’d be able to use my old controller? Thanks again.

      Yes, once you own the software, you can use any controller, old or new

    Thanks for the content very useful. I see you have an s61 and a Jam. When using the mikro+s61+jam do you still have to use the computer screen as much. Would that combination is it an equivalent to maschine mk3 ?

    • @Landmarq
      @Landmarq  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s a pretty close comparison, because you have those two LCD screens on the S61. If you’re doing step sequencing on the Mikro or shorter loops in general, it makes it easier to stay organized when paired with the Jam. But having those two LCDs on the Maschine or the S61 Makes life so much easie

      @@Landmarq thanks for the quick reply!! I have an s61. I’ve been wonting to use maschine for its hands on less computer screen. I’ve been on the fence between buying an maschine mk3 or a mikro+jam (good price). Seeing that you have them all , in your opinion s61+maschine mk3 vs s61+mikro+jam which one do you think would be best? Thk

    I have a Korg R3 that i've been using with Logic Pro for awhile now, but then added the Akai MPK Mini II a little while back to be more mobile with my laptop and have a controller. I'm debating on swapping those out for a Maschine or Machine mikro....any advise or suggestions on that? Not really sure if it's better but it looks that way

    Is there anything to gain over, say using Akai MPK mini ? Ive been using Native instruments Komplete software with various midi keyboards over the years so familiar with Battery and other soft synths ; but it feels like these days Native Instruments is pushing Mashine and their own hardware/software rather than software to plug into a DAW.

      Imo you cant compare the functionallity of this to an mpk mini. Though it may seem like they do the same things, this one wins over hands down if you use NI software...all the shortcuts integrated into the mikro via the extra buttons and shift functions is something you just dont get with something like an mpk mini. Plus the amount of free plug ins you get with the mikro is out of this world. My mikro came delivered with over 25GBs worth of plug ins...thats a LOT for something that just "comes in the box"...now if one doest use NI software then its the opposite, then imo you have close to zero reasons to get this...i use NI so it was a no brainer..
