  • It’s our first few days experience vanlife in Morocco and it’s a game of two halves. Starting our journey off in Asilah is a blissful introduction to Morocco. Enjoying street food and exploring the old fort and medina. Then moving further south down the cost and we find ourselves in Moulay Busselham which is totally different!! When we attempt to find our way down to the lagoon to spot the famous flamingoes we find ourselves on an abandoned campsite, at least exploring keeps us entertained as there’s not a flamingo in sight! All in all it’s an interesting start to vanlife Morocco!

      We enjoyed the donuts and pancakes but didn’t have big meals out in Asilah. We did go out for lunch in Casablanca in fact and really enjoyed it!

    Welcome beautiful family to Morocco.❤ 07:43 I hope you enjoyed your delicious meal. This "bread" you bought, filled- flat, square-shaped- are actually Moroccan pancakes known as msemen or rghaif. Msemen is a traditional Moroccan pastry, usually served for breakfast or tea-time. I can imagin why some people would mistaken it for bread, it may look similar to some bread, however msemen is made from a different dough and is typically enjoyed in Moroccan cuisine/culture as a snack or breakfast item rather than used as a staple for sandwiches or meals. It has a distinct texture and flavor that sets it apart from traditional Moroccan bread / mediterranean cuisine. So I hope you enjoyed this delicious pastry. Enjoy your stay and looking forward seeing more about your adventures. ☘️🌻Thank you. Cheers.

      Thank you for sharing. I actually had some for breakfast this morning drizzled with honey and a coffee! I love them but have found it harder to find them recently. At least now I know what I can ask for when we’re out exploring!

    When You order Moroccan tea next time tell them to put sugar on the side if you don’t usually they put a lot because Moroccan drink sweet mint tea but not all of them. ❤

    Although paid express way are safe and modern but you will isolated… national Highways are free not really safe but you get the real experience as it goes trough villages and you can pull over anytime and buy things even from locals by the roads and simply see more things but you must be prepared and careful… and it’s slow because of lower speed limits and many slow trucks goes in such roads

    • @roarsome_4some
      @roarsome_4some  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We like to do both, our van can be quite difficult to navigate on the smaller roads so if we’re going for a long drive then we prefer bigger roads but on shorter drives then we can manage the smaller roads and as you say, we enjoy the stops more.

      @@roarsome_4some yea maybe my comment was not clear enough so i wanted to clear the difference between National cross country roads and express highways…. One paid one free .. how about your country is it the same ? Do you drive on the left ?
