I am latin American and found out several years ago my father's father and all my great grandfathers were Moroccan. It was a total surprise and something no one in my family knew. I later found out my Moroccan relatives likely were originally from northern Morocco and likely lived in towns just like Asilah or perhaps even included Asilah. Thank you for sharing this great video so that we newly discovered Moroccans in the Americas can learn about our relatives homeland and what life is like there.
@@ChrisKermis Hi, I am from Morocco, from the city of Asilah. I read your comment about your Moroccan origins from the north. Do you have information about your ancestors? I want to help you if I can.
That looks Fabulous Chris. Thanks for sharing. I have followed all your videos on Morocco. I retire in 18 months and am looking for a place to spend the winters away from UK and not in Europe. Morocco is looking good so far. 👍
Chefchaouen and Ifrane are fantastic visits in North Morocco. I went on a surf trip to Morocco in 1978, met a French Moroccan woman and ended up spending a lot if time in Morocco.
Hi Chris, just wanted to quickly say that your videos are amazing, keep it up! I'm from Morocco and I like how you cover off-the-beaten-track cities and towns that we're familiar with but a lot of tourists might not be 👍 Btw, loved your Iran series too, maybe you should edit that into one long documentary and sell it to some tv channel because it was honestly that good 😉 All the best!
Thank you, I really appreciate the kind words! I was thinking of doing a long single edit Iran video (just for TH-cam though 😉). It's just hard to find time, I've always got a backlog of new content to get out.
Hi Chris…Just watched your video journeys through North Africa…. So useful and informative😊 Im off in early march to Agadir for the first time so this has been sooo useful. Thanks
"reacting great to the camera"? I know you have had mixed reactions, some outright negative? I know you are very open about what you are filming, but I'm wondering if you have a small camera setup as it may be less intimidating? 🤔
@@ChrisKermis we are having sunny days but at night the thermometer says 1° / 2°C 😞 I will try not to miss any like to add and comment more, hoping I can help to boost your channel 👍
Don't forgrt that a country like usa for expl is 250 time rich than Morocco. Barcelonna is more rich than the all 5 country of the nord africa so we don't have the budget to devlop every beach or part of Morocco.
I'am agree with you Assilah city is the most peaceful city in Morocco. My little secret 😅 i feel good between their walls 👍

Give it a try certainly. If I had no restrictions I would spend my winters mainly in SE Asia

You are welcome in your second country 🙂🤝

Never visited Ifrane myself but maybe someday. I’ve spent more time than most visitors there and there’s still a lot in the world to see
Ifrane isnt in the north

Glad you liked the videos and they helped! Try to get to Essaouira as well if you can, very different vibe to Agadir
My home town 😊
Groovy vibes from Link Wray in a Jim Jarmush movie. Well done Asilah! 😎

Count how many times he says Medina and win a prize
There’s a much better beach a short drive away. Best beach in Morocco in my opinion Rmilat beach.
Shame I missed that!
@@ChrisKermis most people don’t know about it but once you go it’s easy. Either need a car or get a taxi.
Heading to Asilah tomorrow morning from Tangier. Looking forward to following your leads. Thanks very much.
What transportation from casablanca airport to asilah city?
I didn't. I traveled Tangier -> Asilah -> Meknes by train.
I love everything about morocco, the only things I did not like some of the amount of trash in some areas
It’s a sad thing in so many places around the world and it’s something I’ve see get progressively worse in my years of travel

I love your narratives ❤
My camera setup is quite small but still in some places I’ve been regularly shouted out for filming in Morocco. Asilah was really chilled
Hey! Still in Morocco, luuucky yoooou? 😊😊😊
I’m not there now, just finishing my last videos from there. Enjoying some time at home right now 🙂
Ok, I see. So, freezing in Europe just like me 🥶 😱😁
Btw, you deserve more followers here!
Haha yeah that’s right, non stop rain here right now.
Thanks 🙏🏽 It would certainly be great to have a bit more growth on the channel.

Morocco is beautiful in its simplicity, civilization and history
I love this city
