@@PeterLoweOne I think they are all rationalising what they can/can't build on RHD platforms ~ all aiming for new, universal platforms. Over here, the VW Golf is one of their most popular, and was always more so than the Jetta. Another random detail I heard the other day on Stellantis vans... The LHD has the steering wheel perfectly central to the driver's seat, yet the RHD model has a 2-inch offset, causing driver back pain for many users! Here these are Citroen Partner/Peugeot Traveller/Vauxhall Vivaro models. Explains why my son's Vivaro is so uncomfortable to drive! I think LHD is 'king' for many makes...
That always seems to be the one item that manufacturers use to push you up a trim level (or two) I feel like car audio has come far enough these days that we should see more and more cars with better audio in every trim level.

I have a GLI, and My son has the base model Jetta as his first new car. Super on gas, very comfortable ride, and a great value!

We used to get these in the uk. Very popular, but they stopped marketing them here 4/5 years ago. We only get the Passat in this lineup now.

the elantra has such a good looking exterior, but hyundai cheaped out big on the trim and i can't get over it!
Only the GlI and GTI have the DSG trans.
Test drove a sport and I like everything about it except the sound system. Wish you could put the beats audio on lower trims
